I recently had Lasik done with Dr Michel and am now seeing better than ²⁰⁄₂₀ with no complications or discomfort. I am extremely happy with the results. Dr. Michel was extremely thorough and attentive. I would highly recommend him.

It’s been less then 2 days since I had a 20 year old pterigium removed by Dr. Michel on my eye. I can already see again! I was not expecting that so soon. The doc is a genius! He is the only doctor I could find using the most current method with no general anastesia, cuts, stitching or amniotic membrane. He uses your own membrane instead of foreign amniotic to patch the eye. And a less than 1 percent chance of it growing back! I can’t say enough! I have been searching for years for the right doctor, I probably have seen a dozen of them. Driving from different counties to find him was well worth it! He even used a surgery center closer to LA the day of my surgery to help me. I feel great and there is very little down time. My eye already looks great too! I was so nervous to do this but Dr. Michel actually made it a pleasant and painless experience. Thank you Dr. Franz Michel… your the best!!!

My husband and I both had epi-​lasik with Dr. Michel. I highly recommend Dr. Michel — he is thorough, honest, truly cares about the patient, and awesome at his job. With Dr Michel’s preparation, I felt relaxed during the procedure. And the best part — both our vision is ²⁰⁄₂₀ or better thanks to Dr Michel!

I have been to Dr. Michel twice now over the years. I had Lasik done a few years ago and have been going occasionally to check on my eye health. Dr. Michel does take the time to listen and check out all of your concerns. At first, I was feeling that I didn’t get as much out of my recent visit. But, being assured that my eyes are okay and are not changing at an alarming rate, should be what I want to hear. Doctor never tries to over-​sell on anything, which is nice.
Tip: This Thousand Oaks/​Newbury Park office is a quiet one tucked away in the corner of a small shopping center. It’s back there in the same center as Blockbuster, Medicine Shoppe, and restaurants.

Dr Michael is very thorough. he takes the time to listen to you and is very careful with you. I do not like my eyes being touched but he certainly knows how to take care of you and calm you while he is working with you.
You will be very pleased with him and his staff. Great experience…
