Dr. Hubert is a five star human being and a five star doctor. His kindness, compassion and patience throughout the entire process was a blessing to my wife and me. As emotionally devastating as the fertility process was to us, we never once doubted Dr. Hubert’s expertise. He answered every question and explained every test and procedure patiently — even when we asked him about dozens of things we heard on the internet! His confidence that we would find a way kept us going.
It was a great joy to introduce him to our girls when they were born. I could not recommend him or FSAC any more highly.

Dr. Kumar is the most amazing doctor ever! He and the rest of the staff (Stephanie, Courtney, Michelle, Melinda) are extremely nice and caring.
My husband and I met with Dr. Kumar about 2 months ago for our first consult and from the moment we met him, we felt calm and confident. He walked us through the whole entire process, he answered all of our questions, and was so sensitive to our fertility battle.
My ER was a piece of cake, I didn’t even feel any pain afterwards. My transfer is set for next month, and my husband and I are so thrilled!
I would recommend Dr. Kumar to anyone who is trying to have a baby. He has been so good to us, we appreciate all the care we have received from Fertility and Surgical Associates!

Dr. Kumar and nurse Arlene are awesome! The procedure was very quick. They talked me and my husband through everything before and while it was going on. 10 dpt of 2 5 dayers and showing very dark positive pregnancy tests!

Dr. Hubert is the most caring, compassionate and competent doctor I have ever had. It was a pleasure working with him and his staff. The office staff is very friendly and courteous. I am extremely pleased with the results which were exactly what Dr. Hubert predicted at our first meeting. He never wasted our time or money! I highly recommend Dr. Hubert!

My wife and I have seen Dr Hubert for roughly 2 years. We have a beautiful son and are trying to have a second baby.
My concerns are around Dr Hubert’s level of attention and preparation for each of his patients. We’ve had multiple meetings with Dr Hubert where he doesn’t recall our medical history and previous procedures we’ve had with him. I’m worried that each time he sees us he’s simply reacting to what he sees in the room with you versus a more thoughtful, strategic, and personal approach to your care. I don’t feel Dr Hubert prepares enough before meeting with you to understand the medical history and what treatment is appropriate — I feel like he has his formula for care and applies it based on what he sees each time… potentially leading to errors. Don’t know if the case load is too much.
The staff is great and on top of it, my concerns are with Hubert.
I don’t write reviews often, but had to get this one out.

If there were a million stars, I’d give them! I love Dr. Hubert, the other doctors, the nurses, the staff, the on-​call answering service after hours, the office, etc. They offer appointments 7 days a week, 12 months a year. Who does that?! While they take messages so they have time to pull my file, I always revive phone calls back promptly. I’ve even called Dr. Hubert’s cell phone at midnight when I had a problem with the needles the pharmacy sent me for a timed injection (the pharmacy is unrelated to the office). It is beyond convenient to go to one place for blood work, ultrasounds, surgery, and transfers. They are so sweet, efficient, and helpful! I travel 6 hours just to see them because without them I know I wouldn’t have my precious, miracle babies! Dr. Hubert works tirelessly and is dedicated to his patients– and yes, there may be a lot of us– but he treats me like family every time we speak or see each other. (And side note: he is always willing to help me not have to travel for blood work or check ups but everyone else I’ve seen has screwed things up for me and no one compares to him.) I have recommended several friends to him and they have all had success too. Seriously, the amount of love and gratitude I have for Dr. Hubert and his staff brings tears to my eyes as they have helped make my deepest longing come true to make me someone’s momma.

Dr. Buyalos and his staff have made me feel like my sibling got excellent care. The clinic is well organized. Dr. Buyalos is one of the most knowledgeable and kind physicians I have ever met. He worked so hard to help my sibling in an urgent situation and put me at ease. I can’t thank him enough for helping a difficult time to be easier.

Dr. Kumar and nurse Arlene are TRULY the BEST! Their bedside manner and sensitivity to our fertility experience were above par. My husband and I are forever grateful for your help in completing our family. Our hearts burst every time we think about how amazing the journey was… and how beautiful our children’s smiles are… smiles we never would have seen without you both!

Love, love, love Dr. Kumar! I used him as a second opinion and flew from Alabama to CA just to work with him. Prior to the IVF transfer, I had a lot of questions. He said he would stay as long as needed to answer them all. After receiving some disappointing news, he was able to comfort me and remained very optimistic. He is extremely compassionate and the staff there was wonderful. Highly recommend them!

I had an amazing experience here. Dr. Buyalos and staff took good care of me. When I was diagnosed with cancer, Dr. Buyalos immediately made sure to get me in and finish treatment asap so I could start chemotherapy on time. He and his staff were so friendly and caring. I felt really happy and comfortable there. Dr. Buyalos explain to me in detail and answered all of my questions. I had an emergency once and had to contact Dr. Buyalos after hours; interrupting dinner with his family. But he was so kind to me and went out of his way to fix my problem. I’m really glad I came to this office. It was totally worth driving 4 hours in traffic every other day to be treated here. I highly recommend him.

I am following up on a review I wrote about a year ago. Since that time, I have given birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl. What is more, after being told that I «don’t ovulate» and «would never conceive naturally,» I am dumbfounded by the pain, anguish and expense I went through at the hands of this clinic. My OBGYN encouraged me to get a second opinion and also to get a laparoscopy. One month after my laparoscopy I conceived naturally. To say that FSAC didn’t do their due diligence on my behalf is a huge understatement. To anyone dealing with the pain and uncertainty of infertility, consider other clinics and weigh your options carefully.

I never wrote a review before but I felt I needed to about Dr. BUYALOS. I have been his patient for about a yr now. Had some failed ivfs and iui with one chemical pregnancy. And am currently attempting another ivf. Although these treatments and cycles have been probably the most emotionally challenging experiences of my life. Dr. Buyalos has been the most compassionate and professional doctor ever!!! I cannot imagine going through this with any other doctor. As busy and famous as he is he ALWAYS treated me with patience and respect and not a number.
THANK YOU Dr. BUYALOS! and his team! You guys are amazing!!! Regardless of my outcome I will know that your team gave it 100%. Now I just have to leave it to God!

Dr Buyalos is an angel. One year ago, he helped me get pregnant. He was absolutely incredible throughout that entire experience… warm, caring, encouraging, knowledgeable. He performed surgery on me and did an amazing job… the «scar» looks like a tiny birth mark. I am so so grateful to him for his help and support on that journey. Fast forward one year later, I have an amazing, healthy little boy. I also have a series of breast issues related to oversupply. I scoured the internet and friends to find a good breast surgeon to consult. In pain and desperate for help, I remembered Dr. Buyalos (it had been a year since I last saw him), and called on a Sunday. I left a message with the answering service, hoping he or someone from the office might return the call on Monday or Tuesday. On hour later, to my complete shock, my phone rings and it’s Dr. Buyalos. He expresses more care and empathy than my own OB and immediately recommends a breast surgeon and says that he’ll call the surgeon directly to make sure I’m seen quickly. I couldn’t believe it. Sure enough, the next morning, Dr. Buyalos called to confirm that he had spoken with the breast surgeon to squeeze me in. This man is an angel. I have never met a doctor more caring, empathetic, and intelligent. I couldn’t possibly recommend him more… he’s amazing.

Dr. Hubert is the BEST. Nurse Arlene is FANTASTIC — she runs the office and you can count on her to take care of you. The clinic as a whole is top notch, everyone genuinely cares and wants to do whatever is necessary to help each and every couple become parents that walk through the door. Here are the facts:
After being with another doctor for 6 years eleven (yes), invetro fertilization cycles later I got pregnant right away with Dr. Hubert. You decide. I think that speaks for itself. I came back 3 years later, had another successful cycle.
I cannot imagine another group of people who would be as caring and patient as the staff of the Fertility and Surgical Associates. Truly, believe me, this is the only place to go. And now, here I am waiting to find out if we will be blessed with baby #3, gosh, it’s the biggest blessing to become a mother, for those of you who are in the process of it all hang in there, have faith, be good to each other, and know that you can walk through those doors and be embraced and given hope.
P. S. I sent a student of mine to Dr. Hubert because she was unable to stay pregnant (she tried for 5 years). She has a two year old daughter now thanks to Dr. Hubert… :)

Dr. Kumar is the reason we have our beautiful 10 month old daughter. After 3 miscarriages, we decided to try IVF and change from my previous reproductive endocrinologist (who was great, but very far away). I was so lucky to have a friend who had seen Dr Kumar and has 2 beautiful babies as a result. Her successful pregnancies and kids at 40+ y.o., after several miscarriages, were the best advertisement for him ever.
I agree with my friend — Dr. Kumar is brilliant. I have atypical PCOS, and I experienced hyperstimulation during my IVF cycle, but Dr Kumar made me feel totally safe and I trusted that in his expert care, nothing bad would happen to me.
My husband agrees with me– couldn’t be happier with the care we received. When we first came into his office after having experienced so much loss, he looked us straight in the eyes and said «you are going to be parents, there is no doubt about that.» And we both relaxed about 95%, and teared up. I still get goosebumps thinking about how confident he was and how right he turned out to be! He is direct, takes his time explaining everything and answering questions. He has a sense of humor, which I really appreciated during this time of such stress.
After putting 11 viable embryos in the freezer, Dr Kumar told us «you can have any size family you want!» And it was really reassuring. We are going to try for number 2 soon.
It is nice that he is a father too, and is open about his own experiences. I really recommend him. Especially for PCOS cases, of which he seems to have an especially deep knowledge. It is such an intimate kind of doctor– it feels like your partner and you have to collaborate with this third person to make a baby. But for us, it ended up being a really positive experience. The nurses and staff, too, were all so happy for us and loved meeting our daughter when we brought her in to visit.
If you’re reading this, chances are you are dealing with fertility issues and if so, I wish you good luck and baby dust from the bottom of my heart. I’ve been there.

After going to another fertility facility in the San Fernando Valley and being told that donor eggs are the only viable solution, we decided to see Dr. Kumar in 2014– and what a great decision that was. At the age of 41, I was able to become pregnant (with my own eggs) and am now four months along. Dr. Kumar is kind, knowledgeable, patient and professional. Nursing staff are all nice, but one thing to keep in mind is that although you are paying a heavy price, do not expect concierge medicine. You will have to call the nurses, numerous times, and track them down. Perhaps they do not have enough nurses to handle the high volume of patients. Inaccessibility of nursing staff would be my sole complaint. I recommend Dr. K and FSC, as he truly is a miracle worker.

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and especially Dr. Kumar! I first saw Dr. Kumar 3 years ago and we discovered my husband has a blockage, thus why we hadn’t gotten pregnant on our own. We saved for a few years, got a loan and came back in the spring of 2013 to begin the IVF process, I got pregnant on my first frozen transfer, but miscarried at 5 weeks. We waited a few months and went back for another round, pregnant again! With twins! I’m now 11 weeks and feel great. I owe it all to Dr. Kumar and his wonderful staff (and Dr. James Pero for my husband’s procedure). I was never treated like a «customer», the staff knew my husband and I by name and were just amazing at all times. Dr. Kumar really cares about his patients and their outcome, and does his absolute best at all times. FSAC staff are now like family and I’m so grateful they exist. Miracle workers, all of them.

I recently moved to California and was referred during my annual pap to «investigate my options» as a 38 yo single female wanting to have children in the future. I also have PCOS which has always been a concern. I emailed the office and got a prompt response along with an appointment within 2 days of the date I called. Wow!
I was impressed immediately by the fact that they don’t keep you waiting like other doctors and I spoke with Dr. Kumar who explained everything and took his time to answer my questions. He actually walked me through what my best options were for both self pay and if I wanted to see about insurance covering some other options I hadn’t thought of…
I brought my BF in and we both agreed doing an IVF cycle to create embryos with genetic testing and cryo-​preservation was our best bet until we were married and ready to have kids.
I’ve had great hands on help all the way through the cycle and I’ve been happy with the steady stream of reliable information and re-​assurance from all the staff. (and there are a lot of staff there to take care of you!)
We just did our retrieval this past weekend with 45 eggs retrieved, waiting to see how many make it to day 5 and what our results from testing are but we couldn’t be happier with the process we’ve experienced so far.
I highly recommend Dr. Kumar for personal care and actually caring about his patients and their outcomes. I haven’t seen this from a doctor since going to a University Teaching Hospital in Chicago years ago. So nice :)

Five stars for this wonderful practice. Each doctor really treats you with respect and care. I have been a patient here for about 5.5 years. I have had 5 IVF transfers and each time, I am treated like an angel.
Each doctor has their own personality (all great) and will provide their undevided attention and be available any time of day to answer your questions.
Nurses and staff are professional, sincere and compassionate. Regardless of what dr you choose, you will be impressed with the way you are treated. I am a Gestational Surrogate and I am so thankful that I can work with such great people!

Dr Hubert is a wonderful man. Fertility treatments are emotionally and physically draining. Dr. Hubert is very compassionate and wise, a true physician.
I went to their clinic for more than 1 yr. I ended up getting pregnant by accident (naturally!)
The nurses are great. Fertility treatments are difficult although the doctors and staff here try to help you in any way. Dr Hubert called me many times after surgeries and treatments to see how I was doing. I had two surgeries performed by Hubert and they were both successful.
I would go back to them if I ever wanted more fertility treatments. Very professional medical office. The medical assistants were always supportive and were great listeners.
