Terrible customer service, we reserved comfortable sedan for our trip to San Francisco when we arrived to enterprise they did not have what we requested after i had just got of the phone with one of the reps at the thousand oaks location indicating that we had several to choose from. nothing compared. A waste of time. never will we rent from them again

Renting a car can be a little bit nerve wracking and feels like additional stress when most of us are renting a car because our car is out of order. Cameron Elliot the assiant manager made this process a pleasure. I am a forever loyal to this location customer for life. Thanks again Cameron!

This is a very busy office. I still believe that it is understaffed at peak times. They do a good job under the circumstances.

Had a great customer experience with the folks at Enterprise. I was given a great rental but more importantly was treated extremely well which is the main reason I return to this location to rent a car!

Unfortunately, I had to get a rental car from this location due to the fact that the guy who parked next to me at my apartment side swiped my car when pulling in.
The guys car insurance was covering a rental car for however long it would take for my car to be fixed. Great, so I walked into this particular location, and after hearing some customers yelling at the employees, I began to have a bad taste in my mouth. Fast forward to the actual renting of the car… so one of the guys takes me to do a walk around before I get the keys. I notice a little ding on the rear bumper, so I ask the employee if he would write that down so there would be no confusion later. He says «oh, that’s nothing, it has to be the size of a golf ball or bigger to matter.» Ok good, got the keys, ready to roll.
Approximately one week later, upon attempting to return the rental, the employee that was available came outside to do the final walk around. «Oh hey, look at that dent» he says, referring to the same spot I had pointed out before I even touched the keys. He then begins to tell me that I may be responsible for fixing this. I think steam started to shoot out of my ears, and in a tone I try my best not to bring out, I laid into the poor guy… basically explaining exactly what had happened during the initial walk around.
Let this be a lesson, no matter what they say, please insist that they mark down any dents or scratches you might see. Luckily, I was able to walk out of there with everything salvaged… which explains the 1 star rating. Trust me, if I could, I would leave 0. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this location, and possibly enterprise as a whole.

I have to say that Enterprise is quick, yet sometimes too quick when they check you out of your rental car. They did not ask me to come inspect the car with them so of course I didn’t get to see if I left any of my belongings in the rental. Yes, its my responsibility, however, isn’t their responsibility to inspect the car before they rent to another customer? The very next morning, I realized I had left a belonging in seat pocket of the driver seat and I called them right away and spoke to an associate that actually checked me out of my car. She forgot I was just there last night, yet let me know the car had already been rented to a new customer. She said, she will contact the current customer and let them know of the situation. I asked if she could call me back after speaking to the current customer. She confirmed, yes by end of day. NO call for the entire day. I then called back the next morning and I was told the person inquiring with the new customer was out sick. I asked if this new employee could follow up and they said we don’t want to wake her if she is sick at home. I had to actually say, «I mean the customer in the car.» Then they said, oh, good idea. We will call you tonight, I had to stop them and ask for them to call me back within an hour and they said, we have a lot of customers, we can’t promise this. I said, I am and was your valued customer for over 10 years, I think you can extend me the courtesy. They agreed, but again no call and its been another day. I am hopeful that the customer will return the car as promised tonight and have my belonging. Praying. Again, my responsibility, yet Enterprise employees could value my time and concern as if this was their belonging.

Recently rented a car from Enterprise (which I’d done before about 10 years ago). Everything was easy and efficient (even though their computers were temporarily down). I’d reserved a car the night before, and one was ready for me the next morning. It couldn’t have gone better (unless they gave me a free upgrade to a Ferrari :-p). Staff was friendly and efficient.

I went Saturday to exchange cars. The original car smelled of cheap weed and lemon pledge. I thought that would be a temporary smell, but the next morning my entire garage smelled, so I figured the previous renter must have hit a skunk. No big deal. Devon at Enterprise said they’d switch me out easily.
Devon started my paperwork, and as I sat there waiting, he was hit with two challenging customers.
The first customer seemed to have lost her driver’s license and spent an inordinate amount of time trying to convince Devon to allow her to rent the car anyway since she had been there previously. He explained to her patiently why he couldn’t do that. She was insistent. The conversation went on for about 10 minutes, with her failing miserably at trying to be cute in order for him to cut her a break. The last thing she said was «You really should put a sticker on your window to explain all of this.» His response? «You want us to put a sticker that explains we can’t rent a car to someone without a license?» I had to leave the lobby so I wouldn’t die of laughter in front of everyone.
The second customer was angry that he couldn’t pay with a money order. Like a hotel, rental car companies need a credit card in case someone just bails with the car. He seemed baffled. He also failed to communicate that he needed a ride somewhere and threw major attitude at Devon for Devon’s lack of mind-​reading expertise, but Devon handled the whole thing calmly and the guy calmed down.
After another associate took me to the new car (including a smell test), I went back in just to tell Devon that he’s a rockstar. I wouldn’t have his patience. I would have been fired on the first day.
Devon, you’re my hero.

Enterprise is my agency’s contracted rental car vendor. The staff is always extremely helpful and friendly, and this particular location typically has a substantial selection of vehicles on hand. I read over one of the low-​rating reviews and can only say that I always see the staff trying to work with people who come to them in conjunction with a third party insurance carrier situation, and I find it hard to accept that they would withhold information or intentionally misrepresent something to a customer when it could jeopardize their reputation in the industry to engage in such practices.

Way friendly service. Excellent with customers especially ones who are frustrated bc they were in an accident. Quick and made it easy. Thank you.

Pick up and drop off service is wonderful!

After I had my car accident, I went to enterprise to rent their most inexpensive car. However, the attendant told me to get a more expensive car which would be 100% covered by the other persons insurance since I was not at fault. After two weeks, I went in and they told me I had to pay the full sum of the rental car at $ 175 a day because the insurance did not cover the fees. They knew this information the same day, but failed to notify me so I could change cars.
They’ll be hearing from my lawyers soon.

I’ve been renting a few cars a year from this location. Compared to the competition, they stand above. While shopping for a new care I have been renting a lot more often lately. No matter how busy they are, the team is very positive and always gets me dialed in quickly. The only issues I have noticed are with difficult customers! Keep up the good work team!

I had some extensive bodywork done on my vehicle and got a shop rate from Enterprise. I wasn’t expecting a luxury experience so I didn’t have high expectations for the shop rate deal. When I got to the lot they upgraded me immediately as they didn’t have the subcompact available — I got a four door Ford Focus for the shop rate. That was cool. We noted the exterior damage and I drove away but as I pulled out of the lot I noted that the front passenger seat had a huge stain on it, then turned to see the back seats had a similar problem. I thought I should notify them that I didn’t cause this so I called. They said they’d note my observations and asked if I needed anything further. I didn’t. I proceeded to drive the stained seat focus for 11 days. I have not mentioned the overwhelming odor of masked cigarette smoke in this «non-​smoking» vehicle.
When I returned the vehicle I was asked if I had any issues with the vehicle. I said that the car had a strong cigarette smell — I had run with the windows down as much as I could but it didn’t really help.
I have always had good to excellent experiences with Enterprise. This particular office has always been great. But this time was notable. I had never before had a car that reeked of smoke, never before had a car with such interior staining, and it’s been a very long time since I needed a rental for so long.
This time, the desk agent got a report from me that wasn’t all sunshine and flowers and this time she responded (perhaps as is usual for her and her colleagues — I don’t know, I don’t typically have such issues at enterprise) with a high but appropriate level of empathy and wanted to know what she could do to make it right. I hesitated — I already had a great deal with the shop rate and the upgrade and frankly I didn’t suffer THAT much from the smoke smell and the stained seats — it was just unpleasant.
She offered a discount on my rental — I thought it would be something like $ 20 but no, she took 20% off the entire rental. AND THEN she gave me a 20% off card (which she crafted on the spot with her business card) for my next rental. Tami Hernandez — you deserve a raise and a promotion.
I should mention that EVERYONE in that office is courteous, professional, and very interested in what you need and what your thoughts are. I commend this group of terrific professionals! I say that without prejudice toward other Enterprise offices but I have to say that these guys are a solid bunch who try harder.
I have rented from Budget, Avis, Dollar, Hertz, Thrifty, and others. I recently had a TERRIBLE experience with Thrifty where they charged me extra for options I did not select and stuck me with a vehicle that had not been cleaned before delivery to me – I was/​am a premium member of their service and that was the only way (after more than two hours of «conversation» that I got the money refunded to me).
Suffice it to say, I will never rent from Thrifty again but Enterprise has my business going forward!

Phenomenal customer service, especially from Asst. Mgr. Tami!
E-​surance was covering a car-​rental while my wife’s car was in the shop and communications kept getting screwed up. Each time I stepped in to iron things out, Tami was the person working with me. Tami was the one assuring me things would work out okay, and following through after our calls were done to make sure they did, indeed, work out okay. Then, when I was returning the car (late on a Friday with dozens of other customers), I watched Tami iron out another agent’s major pricing problem with an extremely irate customer. That customer left happy and Tami continued to iron out the problem, talking the errant agent through the task of revising the previously-​irate customer’s rental ticket while simultaneously helping other customers (including me) check their cars in.
As I said: Phenomenal job, great customer service and multi-​tasking skills, and excellent employee management as well. It’s time to move Tami up to Manager.

The staff here was incredible!!! Super friendly and helpful. Dressed very professionally despite the heat and weather. I just wish I could’ve remembered the name of the sweet girl who greeted me and helped me at the front counter, hopefully after reading this it can be figured out! Bryan helped me after that to get my car from the parking lot. He was awesome, very personable, and funny! The Jetta I rented was so clean and perfect for what I needed. Picking up was expedited very quickly which was great because of my time constraints.
There was a small miscommunication and price discrepancy about my one way trip where there was a small charge I wasn’t aware of until later (not a big deal at all though!) I called back a few days later and spoke to Chris the manager about it. He was amazingly helpful and friendly too! He refunded the discrepancy with no hesitation whatsoever. This really reaffirmed why I chose this place yet again out of all possible car rental companies.
Excellent staff, great company. I will always rent from them especially now after being treated better than ever! And being 8 months pregnant I’m not easy to please lately lol. Thank you all for a stress free/​hassle free experience. Moving is never fun and this was a bright spot of an otherwise very hectic weekend!

This location is the best… amazing customer service and wide selection of vehicles to choose from. We live in Simi and have used the Los Angeles Ave location but have always had a bad experience there due to insufficient staff. Therefore we started making the drive to T.O. and it’s well worth the extra miles. I’ve seen a lot of rude and frustrated customers at the counter being horrible to the staff and the staff always remains courteous and professional. The staff behind the desk are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and they seem care about the customers. For this rental, Devon assisted us and he was excellent!
As another reviewer mentioned, each of the staff members I’ve interacted with at this location are what we as Americans expect in great customer service in a nation that seems to have forgotten what that means. Alert, attentive, present, efficient and kind. Excellent experience with this branch.
