Great place! Stopped in for a birthday treat for my sister. We all had some variation of crêpe and they were delicious. Service was attentive and very friendly. Definitely a hit.

This place is great. My wife and I went in for breakfast 2 days in a row. They make great crepes and drinks as well as French pastries and macarons. Very nice staff and delicious food!

This is my 2nd time here. A wonderful petite French patisserie — café with a warm lovely décor and aroma that bring smile to your face as you walk in. Super delicious food — I had their ham quiche, warm goat cheese salad, ice hot cocoa, passion fruit ice tea, veggie croque(French Panini), more warm goat cheese salad, and of course macaroon and chocolate :-)). Top all these with very friendly and accommodating staff and owner, Sandrine. She even remembers my name after only 1 previous visit. A superb place for a leisurely relaxing lunch /brunch with French flair right in the heart of Thousand Oaks :-)).

This place is just magical. We visited today for valentine’s, and it was beyond chaotic with standing room only. With a bit of patience we managed to get a table and order our food. It took longer than usual to get our food(did I mention it is valentine’s day?) but it was worth every second of that wait. Excellent food, and such amazing personalities emanating from the the two very dedicated ladies accommodating the many patrons! Looking forward to our next visit! Thank you again for such a wonderful meal!

I never knew why the label«buttery croissant» mattered when I bought croissants in the grocery store since they still tasted the same. Then just now, I ate a croissant from here and OHMYGOSH! THIS is what they meant by delicious buttery croissant. SO so good. The mocha I paired with it was also delicious. We’ll be back!

Delicious and authentic. After living in France last year, I was so happy to find this place. I had the pesto tart, which was delicious, and brought home some chocolates and pastries, all amazing! I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a taste of France :)

An amazing gift to Thousand Oaks where everything on the menu is an absolute delicacy and where the service and ambiance is impeccable. This café is our new found delight and each time we visit we have a beautiful experience.

Come for the best coffee in T.O., stay for quiche du jour, and take home a truffle, a pastry, or some of the most perfect macaroons you’ve ever tasted!

I’ve been a patron of this place for the last 11 years; I was friends with the old owners, and I came for the delicious, European style hot chocolate, and for the casual, yet elegant atmosphere. I threw my sister a bridal shower in the room they have downstairs, and it was a delightful experience for everyone. The soup is always tasty, and the goat cheese salad is great for vegetarians. I was sad when the old owners left, but the new owners have kept up the tradition, and added their own touches. However, the ambiance, which is extremely important to me(I call myself an atmosphere snob), has not changed. If you want an authentic, local, charming experience instead if the same chain restaurant or coffee shop, check out this place.

This place should be packed every day. I had a petite gâteau that was amazing with my cappuccino. The owner is lovely and her creations reflect her sweet personality. I wish I still lived in Thousand Oaks so I could come here more often. There is a pastry that has slivered almonds and a flaky exterior that I would recommend for anyone who is an almond lover. The macarons are also a hit, but be aware that they are made with almond flour. If you are stuck waiting at the nearby Jiffy Lube, I recommend popping in here for something to pass the time. A little chocolate is a good break from your day.

First of all I love supporting women in small businesses, as I am one as well. But more than that, this place is very delicious. The menu is simple & elegant. You can tell that each item made there has a lot of heart put into each ingredient & small touch! Sandrine, the owner is a lovely person to talk with and she makes you feel at home in her home(café). This is her home away from home. Sometimes you’ll find her café closed, like the french do from time to time, to be with her family. But don’t worry, she’ll be back! She is the sole proprietor & soul of her business. You must go and visit or just drop in for a «to go», you’ll be hooked, like me!

We ordered the Noël Bush on a fluke(was picking up some chocolate and thought… why not… need a Christmas dessert). It was AMAZING! The cake was light and moist(which is almost impossible to find around here)…the mouse(we had coffee flavored) was light and airy… the chocolate on top was thin and coated the roll perfectly. It oversaw my expectations and will be a must have every Christmas! And the new owners are so nice! Oh and when I picked up the Noël… I had her croissant… and it was the best too. I usually hate them… they at hard and nasty and tasteless… but not here… her croissants are drive worthy!

This café is a small escape to France. I’ve been coming here for years. They have changed ownership once, and it is a slight authentic improvement since the original owner. Sandrine and her husband own it now. Their story is posted inside the shop. She serves the guests while he bakes the amazing pastries and makes chocolates. Subtle French music plays in the background. They’re in the middle of a busy boulevard, so their outdoor seating is not ideal. I always order a pot of black tea with milk. They have excellent soups and croques. My favorite chocolate is the balsamic and my favorite macarons are the pistachio and the rose. You won’t be disappointed with any of their other choices, though. Overall, great atmosphere, great food, friendly service. I will forever be a patron here.

Chocolatine French Café is an unlikely gem in the Thousand Oaks area. I’ve really missed good French food after I moved back from the East Coast, particularly since everything in LA is unaffordable. This is a great mix of authentic, delicious and healthy. So excited to have found this delightful little lunch café! My best friend and I go here on weekends and can’t seem to stop coming back! The atmosphere is quaint and simple, without trying too hard as so many LA-area restaurants try to be. Love the mismatched pictures on the walls. For such a small place, they have a surprising amount of variety, from so many different flavors of macarons(vanilla in green, chocolate, lavender, rose, strawberry, etc). You can’t go wrong with any of them, but our favorites were the lavender and rose! The lunch menu is also pretty versatile, from the Croques, to crepes, to Quiche Lorraine! We met the owner on our first day and she was really friendly and even recommended a great idea for an off-the-menu drink when I noticed that there were Italian sodas. Try ordering a Perrier with one of the yummy syrups — my favorite is the rose-flavored one. We also start with a macaron as we wait for our Croque Monsieurs. The original Croque with ham and cheese is of course amazing, but my favorite is the slightly more well-rounded Turkey Croque because it comes with basil and turkey. Yum! I had never tried that combination in France. Next time I go back, I need to try something new. I love the Croques with a side salad, but I also want to explore the menu more! More to come :)

Love this little French Café. It is such a civil way to start the day. Great fluffy quiches du jour, wonderfully strong coffee and delicious mixed greens. Oh, and chocolates to die for! Wonderful owners that greet you in French and make you feel you’ve been transported to Paris.

This is the second time I’ve been here. Both times I was a little down(okay first time I was really feeling depressed). Both times I went straight to their pastries and gobbled down a whole bunch of them. Delicious, well crafted and nicely presented. At first I wasn’t sure why, after selecting my three«for here» pastries, the employee only sat me down with two of them, but then the third arrived and I saw she’d drizzled berry jelly along one side and honey along the other. Also added was a huge dollop of amazing heavy whipped cream and some cocoa powder. Beautiful presentation. The young woman that helped me was friendly, greeted me with a French greeting right as I entered, and gave me an appropriate farewell on my way out and really just took good care of me. One point off for tables not being wiped down quickly between guests(still crumbs on mine) and the apple Florentine I had was extremely boring and mostly just tasted like dough. No distinctive apple or almond flavor. I keep meaning to try one of their sandwiches. Maybe next time. :)

Ooooh lala! It’s so French! A petite bistro serving a small amount of sandwiches, coffees, teas, and soups — and oh yeah, PASTRIES! I came in, and wanted one thing only. Well, one category only. I wasn’t interested in the food or the coffee, only things with meringue and chocolate on it. I got it to go so I can be a good little piggy and eat all 5 items in peace. Winner — — — Almond Shortbread — by far, the number 1 of the bunch.(5.0 stars) Disappointed — — — — — – Big heart-shaped meringue(3.5 stars), Flor de Sol cookie(2.5 stars), Macaroon log(3.0 stars), cherry cookie(3.0 stars). I will go back. It’s worth sitting, ordering a coffee, and trying a soup, and of course, more pastry tryouts.

I love cute independently owned cafés like this and actively seek them out when I go places! I also love pastries and coffee so I knew this would be a good choice for an afternoon stop. The café was not very busy when we were there on a Monday afternoon, but there is limited seating. The latté and Nutella crêpe I had were delicious. The latté had a good amount of espresso in it and was a good temperature. The crêpe had a good amount of nutella in it and had a fun design written in it in chocolate spelling«Paris». My mum had a Jésuite pastry it had a good flaky crust but she found the filling a little dry. She has never had this pastry before so we don’t really have anything to compare it to. They were out of pain au chocolat when we were there, so this was a whim choice but it definitely did not ruin our time at this great café!
