We always enjoy the food and the service is excellent. The problem is the live music is too loud. They need to turn the microphone or speakers down. Couldn’t hear each other talk and very disturbing.

They have very good food, but the service not so much. We have been there six or seven times now and EVERY time there has been something wrong with our order, or they accidentally skip our name on the wait list and realized a half hour later. The first two times we went and they goofed they apologized and gave us free dessert or took money off our bill. All the other times the servers have not been friendly and when they have goofed our order they didn’t apologize or offer to make up for it. We probably will go back sometime, but not that much. Just know you will be getting pretty good food, with slow unfriendly service.

It’s okay. LA bite delivers from here, which is handy. It’s a little bland and a little overpriced, but will definitely do in a pinch.

Food was really good service was ok but overall good pace too eat. Lunch special looked good, kids had hamburger from kids menu and it was fresh. Had the ultimate tri tip sandwich with fries I would highly recommend it. Country feel to it and when I walked in everyone was friendly. Almost forget get the onion rings and try them with the house bbq sauce also recommended. Enjoy!

This is a decent place to catch lunch or evening meal. It’s Gastro pub food plain and simple. The burgers are decent and the tri-tip sandwiches are also good. I like their beans as a side dish(a tad spicy). And their sweet potato fries are some of the best I’ve had. The wait staff are very friendly and do a great job.

Called ahead for call ahead reservations were told no need not much of a wait! We arrived 5 mins from the call and were told 30 min wait. I wish I went else where it turned out to be 45 mins. I don’t mind waiting but do expect truth in advertising. BTW Not the first time this has happened.

Laura is the best bartender! Always super friendly and attentive. Love their BBQ chicken salad and the pulled pork plate. Nice place to go for a little date night :)

Enjoyed new years eve here and had a great time. Sat on the patio and our server, she was great. Started off with a cucumber martini and sliders and both were delish. Baby back ribs were on point and finished off with the mud pie that was amazing. Will definitely be going back.

I came to Bandits with my husband and grandpa. We wanted to treat him to a steak. I ordered the Prime Rib and it came lukewarm. Grandpa ordered the Sirloin well-done and it arrived red. We told the servers about it and instead of waiting for us to explain, they picked it up with a fork, put it on another plate, and sent it out to finish cooking. It came back 15 minutes later and everyone’s food was already cold. His steak was burnt on the outside and pink on the inside. Weird service. Never coming back.

This evening was the best time here, ever. Jody is outstanding. Positive, upbeat, suggestions were great and totally accommodated our needs. Food was out in a timely manner, hot and delicious. Tri tip, salmon and fish tacos. no drinks. $ 66 with a nice tip.

Decided to try out Bandits with My sister and Brother-in-law. It’s next to my go to baha fresh and had to try it out. Let’s cut right to it! Drink: ordered their always fresh lemonade. It was decent, but a little too sugary for me. Bread: tons of dough & butter rolled into gooey goodness lol. What’s not to say about the bread. Really rich flavor & pared well with their BBQ sauce. Two thumbs up. Food: *Appetizer: we ordered for the table their nacho tri tip & were surprised by the portion! Huge cast iron with a hill of nachos waited to be eaten. It was messy and interesting take on nachos. Overall, I enjoyed it. *main course: I split the country fried chicken sandwich with shoe string fries & salad. Salad was a Caesar salad, but a little twist on it. I enjoyed the salad before diving into the sandwich. Now here is where my meal started falling off slightly. The sandwich was blah at best. No real flavor coming from the sandwich. The fried chicken seemed to lose its crunch like it was put into the microwave or something. That was the major knock that docked this place to a 3 out of 5 stars. Overall, I think Unilocal rating rating fits the restaurant. I was fine with my overall experience & the food for the most part was Okay. I wouldn’t say«lets go back» when theirs better restaurants serving up the same style food. I was satisfied and that’s all the mattered. It is overpriced as well. Just wanted to note that. Hope my review helped you: D

Ate here often when I lived in T.O. Pretty damn good BBQ spot. The whole family enjoyed eating there. Smiling faces when I would announce we are going to …

Great place love their steak tacos, chili and you have to try the fried pickles. And my husband loves their ribs and tri-tip and anything that is in their BBQ sauce– we even bough some to take home . We go to this location and to the one in Oxnard both are great locations and the food is always superb. Service can be a bit off in both locations, but the food is always good. Beware of the location in Park City, UT. The portions are way smaller and they are way more expensive.

You need to get the tri-tips nachos. It’s huge and really tasty especially if you drizzle on the barbecue sauce that’s on the table. It comes spiking hot in a skillet. They have a kid friendly menu with an option for salmon. My sister got the salmon salad which was really tasty. My brother-in-law ordered the shrimp and tri-tip which was delicious. There were a lot of flies indoors so that would be my only negative part of the review.

First time here and it is very nice and casual. The food is really good, especially their center cut sirloin topped with peppercorn sauce — I give them a fifth star just for this one! You can seat at the bar, booths or table. I loved it.

After living in Thousand Oaks for four years, I realized I had never been here. I wasn’t sure what kind of place it was — biker bar? sports bar? It’s basically a sports bar, but it’s nice. I didn’t want to eat here alone so I seized the opportunity to eat here with a friend from out of town on our way back to Ventura from the Topango Banjo Fiddle Competition and Folk Festival. I thought the seating was comfortable and the food was very generously proportioned. Atmosphere was relaxed and I thought the service was very prompt and attentive. Our waitress kept our glasses filled and we had plenty of napkins, etc. We split the appetizer sampler and I had the wedge salad and my friend had the ½ size baby back ribs. We could have filled up on the huge appetizer sampler. The chicken strips and onion rings are things I would have again. I probably wouldn’t choose to eat the deep-friend spears of zucchini(or was it cucumber?)(just too huge) or the pulled pork sliders(too much food for an appetizer and I thought pork had too much fat for my taste although the flavor was good). My wedge salad was a slab! It was huge. A huge, fresh, flat piece of a head of iceburg lettuce, topped with, as a I recall, red onions, crumbled blue cheese, diced tomatoes, and bacon. I had mine with blue cheese dressing. I couldn’t finish mine but brought it home and the leftovers made a filling lunch the next day. After you are done eating, stop in at nearby Rocket Fizz for some root beer or candy. We did. I enjoyed our lunch there and would definitely go back.

We had a horrible experience the last and only visit I will be making at Bandits. Service was slow and mediocre. We ordered tri-tip and St Louis ribs both meats were undercooked. We ended up having to wait about 40 mins for our food and another 20 mins trying to get the attention of our server to complain about the meat… At the end of the day we ended up calling over the manager on duty and we let him know that food was horrible and showed him how undercook it was… The manager started to make excuses about how they smoke cook their ribs but he wasn’t listen to what we were telling him. I communicated with the manager that I wasn’t calling him over to hear the reasons why the food was mediocre and undercooked. If you want a nice meal, don’t try bandits, you’ll get Mac and cheese that tastes like pasta and meat that bleeds when you cut into it even if you order it medium well. Save your money, try some other place.

Came in here last week for dinner. To start we had an appetizer, we ordered the fried zucchini which are usually very good. I noticed they tasted weird as if the oil they had been frying them in was old and had not been cleaned out for a while. For my meal I ordered the rib eye medium rare with cole slaw and Mac and cheese. The steak was raw red meat when I cut it in the middle, which is definitely NOT medium rare last time I checked. Also their Mac n cheese has the most pathetic amount of cheese on it. The only thing good was the coleslaw. We were so pissed we left and told them that we would never come back. This is not the first time this has happened to me or the people I was with. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because I always used to love coming here. Unfortunately they have screwed up too many times for me and my family and have lost my business completely.

Stopped in here for lunch yesterday, craving a BBQ Chicken salad. I ordered theirs(full size) and asked if the chicken was warm. My server said it was. I gave him a thumbs up. Chicken came out decidedly room temperature. Not at all«warm». Really made the salad a lot less awesome than it could have been. Half way through eating it I remembered it was supposed to come with bacon. I hunted around and found a couple pieces. Overall very skimpy on the corn, beans, and bacon. Chicken not warm. Disappointing lunch. :( Server was otherwise good — prompt and attentive with a cheerful attitude. I’d be happy dining here again, but I’ll be worried about the food being as good as I remember/expect from Bandits.

Bandits is a bit of a hidden gem in Thousand Oaks, not far from the Janns Marketplace. The décor is rustic with large beams in the ceiling which are very nice. However, it’s clean and modern, unlike some dusty BBQ joints.(The restrooms were also clean and modern which often says a lot about the kitchen in the back, lol.) After we sat down hot bread was served. I love that. This bread was REALLY hot and darn near burned by hand so be careful there. We then had the iceberg lettuce appetizer and it was fantastic! Really large and was perfect for sharing. Bacon, tomatoes, cream cheese and ranch. sensational! Highly recommend it. I got the ½ rack baby back ribs and my wife had the tri-tip. Both were good. Not GREAT, but good. After the iceberg, I was a tad bit disappointed with the entrees, but they were good.(Both a little dry.) The house sauce is also good but not great. The service from entrance to exit was fantastic. Our waitress, Caroline, was 5 star, A+. Always checking on us but not bothering us in between. If I owned a restaurant I’d steal her away from Bandits. Job well done. Overall, Bandits is a great place to grab some«vittles» and we’ll be back!
