Love 90210 Phở especially on a cold cloudy LA day! Chicken curry and some hot tea will do the trick!

First time at this location. Many visits to the Westlake location. Service was excellent and very friendly. Vegan roll and spicy and sour phở were very good. Not sure why I waited so long to try this location, but I will definitely be back soon.

The phở broth was not up to par to my previous times there. Also the prices are too expensive for the type of dishes and amount they served. Definitely better when it was at its previous location.

Great Phở at reasonable prices and great service! I have been coming to 9021Pho for over 1 year and I enjoyed my food there every time. The restaurant is located close to Thousand Oaks Civic Center and parking is ample at the back. The menu is diverse with good selection of phos, stir fried, Vietnamese sandwiches and lunch specials. My favorites are the spicy and sour phở and Rodeo Drive lunch box. The spicy and sour phở comes with ample amount of seafood, noodles and beansprouts, and one bowl of phở is very filing and yet healthy. I like the ambiance and service at the restaurant. The waitresses are friendly and attentive and the premise is bright and upbeat. The cost per person is around $ 13-$ 15 for takeout and more for dining in when tips are included. A great place for Phở in Thousand Oaks!

I went in here about a week ago and dined in. It was a weekday and there were maybe five tables at most. As far as I could tell there was only one server, Monica, who was quite pregnant, but still serving her asss off, you go girl! I ordered a rice dish and my friend ordered phở, the serving sizes were huge, and she checked on us often. We got one of our drinks for free cause my friend was a frequent visitor and got bonus points. I was thrilled to have Vietnamese in Ventura County and I wanted to come back again soon… I ordered pick up for dinner, and I was starving and excited to pick it up. The male host seemed lost looking for my order so the blonde manager came over to check on me. She was very sweet but did not seem to know the menu at all. I waited too long for the to go order and doubted my choice in dinner. When I got home my whole family loved the food! We got a few appetizers and a few pos. They were all delicious! Over all other than the confused staff, I was also happy with the carry out order. I will come back agin, but I hope they get a little more organized.

Second time here, and they reinforced my initial impression. I’m a fan. Had business at City Hall and came looking for some soup and sandwich comfort food. They absolutely delivered! Roast pork Bahn MI, sweet potato fries, and for 4 bucks extra, you get a small bowl of phở. Flavors here are on point, definitely not boring. Service gets overwhelmed during busy lunch rushes.

Food — 2 stars. I believe I got the garden noodles with chicken. My tofu was not soft and cooked properly — it was rubbery and I seriously make better tofu than this(minus 1 star). My chicken was also stuck together and pretty fatty in places(minus 1 star) and some pieces of broccoli tasted terrible(minus 1 star). I was literally spitting food into my napkin which is disgusting. 2 stars because I enjoyed the noodles and brown sauce. Ambiance 2 — I could have been pretty much anywhere … There was no Vietnamese feel. It felt a little cafeteria like with the yellow walls and there was NOONE there when I arrived. Also they were played mainstream music and it would have been nice to have something more cultural. Service — 3 stars. I felt really rushed to order despite a very EMPTY establishment. It would have been nice to have some space to enjoy conversation(minus 1 star). I was also never asked if I wanted dessert or offered a dessert menu despite the table advertisement about the new desserts — I would have ordered one. Instead we were promptly brought our bill despite this place still being mostly empty(minus 1 star). This place was clean and very open. More booth seating would be nice. I purposely picked this place because I’ve been interested in trying it. They had some great gluten free items but I could not read them properly due to a poorly printed menu(the little dots designating gluten free were barely existent and did not show up on all of the GF dishes). Despite good noodles, I really need another reason to return and prob won’t be back mostly due to the tofu/chicken/broccoli issues and illegible menu(even the server was appalled by it).

I have been to this place a few times over the last year, but as I am eating my take-out right now I have decided never to go back. This place has really gone downhill in the quality of their food. The phở, something that should be this place’s staple food, tasted stale and the flavor was bland. The basil rice had barely any rice at all in it surprisingly, but it was filled with raw veggies. The only thing that was edible to me was the lettuce wraps, partially because it was basically the freshest thing on the menu. Overall, I will never return to this place and I am now $ 40 out with no food for dinner.

Thank you for the service Monique and thank you for giving me more napkins(sorry did not get her name). I don’t agre with some of the reviews here. But if you give them another chance try the sandwiches. I tried the pork belly it was delicious but messy. I should have tried the charbroiled instead as suggested by Monique! I am looking forward to the new changes soon. Thank you for the good meal. Oh one more thing try the lettuce wrap!!!

Noodle dishes were hardly edible with too much of a sweet taste and few veges. Pork Ban Mi was on good bread with little meat and okay veges. Our server was attentive and poured much passion fruit tea. Though very sweet, it was good.

Very. Bad. Phở. Nearly tasteless and watery broth. Completely tasteless noodles, and the texture was bad as well — very industrial. The beef was at least ok, but couldn’t make up for the truly terrible broth and noodles. We weren’t expecting the best or anything, but this was a huge disappointment.

Since the ownership change, things have gone downhill, but it’s still OK. They got rid of the lunch specials, which I really enjoyed. Gone are the extra large soups(Phở-lovers). The menu has had a makeover. The prices have gone up a bit. The service seems slower, but they’re still very friendly. One gets the impression the new owner reduced staff to save on expenses. With the original owner, the place was always really popular, and the service and food were consistently good. Nowadays, sometimes the soup is not warm enough, they don’t put in enough meat or noodles, sometimes they forget the sprouts unless you ask, or they’re not around when you when you need a water refill. There are cheaper Vietnamese places around, and while before, the quality and service of 9021Pho justified their higher prices, that’s not the case anymore.

I’m really torn between rating this place 3 or 4 stars. The last time I came, their phở tasted pretty good. The previous times I came, not so much. All in all, I guess this is a 3.5 star restaurant for me. Maybe a couple more good experiences will push it up to 4. I must say, I do like this location more than the one in Sherman oaks mall. Though the service was horribly slow last time I went, when the food came, I was very impressed by the amount of noodles. I’m not sure if they put in extra for making my party wait so long, or if that’s just how they do it here now, but the last time I came to this location, excess noodles definitely wasn’t the case. My favorite phở is phở tai. This is just the normal phở with rare steak only. The steak here is pretty good, and I love when it comes out actually red/still rare. The noodles were good, but the soup broth is really what gets me. It’s darker than most phở places, but I do realize this is a French inspired fusion, so I’ll give it a pass on that. Still, I think it’s a little too salty for my liking. Worth a try, as there aren’t many phở places in this part of town. In terms of overall favorites, I’m not sure this place makes the ranks.

Ehhh… we have been to their BH location about 20 times and really enjoy it. This location, though larger and newer just lacks the consistency in taste and presentation that you would expect from such an establishment. Veggies were old and not fresh. Our basil was pale in color and have no life left in them. The spouts were soft and lacked any crunch. We ordered the veggies phở and asked to add beef to it. The beef they added for $ 4 was literally 1.5 pieces of thin meat. We told our server and he was able to rectify it but still was only given another thin piece of meat. The manager finally got us an additional slice. Pricing can become steep quick for what you are getting. I’d say the place is good but not where it needs to be for the location or esteem of the brand. If it wasn’t for our server being so nice and accommodating we would be writing this review to a far harsher tone. This is a nice clean location with good food generally speaking but it’s definitely lacking especially for its price point.

Great food! The deliciousness of the vegan chicken was a wonderful surprise and I’ll go back for more. I went to lunch on a Friday with a group of 12. I was surprised to see the restaurant completely empty except for our party and dismayed at the incredibly slow service as a result. But, the food was delish! I ordered the Vietnamese noodles with vegan chicken, not quite sure what to expect. SO good! I kept inspecting the«chicken» not quite sure that they hadn’t substituted the real stuff — it was that good. The noodles were sweet and light with a mix of veggies and herbs. The orders of phở were HUGE. Giant bowls of flavorful broth, noodles, veggies and meat were served an no one was able to finish it all. But everyone was very happy with the flavors. This place just needs to pick up the pace a little. While I appreciate that most of our food came out on time and bills were separated, we were the only people in the place and service took waaaaaaay too long.

Overall, 9021 Phở is a good restaurant that provides friendly and efficient service and the menu is varied also. In the beginning of its opening, they used to offer a wider selection of iced teas. I was a fan of the Rose iced tea, but even though the restaurant removed that drink it was still written on the menu as available to order. Eventually 9021 Phở updated and simplified it’s menu though, cutting out some of the less ordered items. The service is fine, the restaurant is usually pretty well frequented also. I like their Phở bowls, although I agree with some reviewers that the broths can be a little bland sometimes. The sides that can be added to the soups are $ 2 each. Adding mushrooms to the soup cost $ 2! And I counted a total of 7 «halves» in my soup. So the sides’ prices are kind of exorbitant for what you actually get. But their noodles and sandwiches are decent too. If you want an inexpensive dinner or lunch then I recommend 9021 Phở. You can’t really break the bank here(unless you order a ton of sides) haha I think they’re doing A-Ok, and hopefully they continue to do so.

I like 9021PHO but with an asterik. Were not a huge fan of the menu but really like the sandwiches especially the Banh Mi and the spicy Phở with chicken and shrimp. Thusly this review is strictly about those food items as were not big fans of the rest of the menu items which I consider very commercialized and pedestrian at best. Notwithstanding the sandwiches especially the Banh Mi and the spicy Phở are very good. Fresh with big flavors, grilled meat, cilantro, daikon, jalapeño and a nice crunch of the baguette. The restaurant is clean, inviting and airy located at the Lakes in Thousand Oaks. The service was for lack of a better term horrid. We sat outside on the patio for a late lunch and our waitress must of had one of those security devices on her leg that shocked her everytime she came out to the patio because she was clearly averse and had no desire to serve the patio. We were her only table the restaurant was empty(Bueller Bueller, crickets, crickets). I still don’t think that she’s aware that we were on the patio, ordered food, ate, paid and left. Clearly a mirage and she was hallucinating lol The hostess and busboy did all the work. Our waitress came out exactly 1.5 times seriously. How do you come out .5 well you start to come change your mind midstream and retreat lol Like I said we really like the sandwiches and the spicy Phở a solid 4 stars. the rest of the menu more like 2.5 — 3 stars. I just think that the remainder of the menu is way overpriced with pedestrian food. There are a wealth of other like kind restaurants with much better food options that are authentic and more reasonably priced.

I’m torn about 9021Pho. On one hand, it’s not a bad place to grab some phở(though it’s priced a bit higher than most places). On the other hand, it seems that there’s always something lacking when I come here. I love their phở chay, which has tons of veggies, and the traditional beef phở is delicious, too. Plus, if you’re not in the mood for soup, they have really tasty noodles(try the Vietnamese noodles), bahn mi sandwiches, and appetizers. The service is pretty hit and miss, whether it’s having to wait ages to get water, having a hostess who tries to seat us at a high-top table when it’s a part of three+an infant(and we need a table that can fit a high chair), etc. The other night I was sick and craving phở, so I called in an order for pick up. Asked for the phở chay, but wanted to sub broccoli for the baby corn. Not only did they charge an extra $ 2 for the sub(even though these items are the same price on the menu, but whatever), but I opened my soup to find no broccoli, and they failed to give me all the extras that make the phở so tasty(jalapeños, bean sprouts, thai basil, lime). I sent them a message on Unilocal letting them know about the problem, and still haven’t received a response. Best word for my feelings about 9021Pho? Ambivalence.

UPDATEDREVIEW:(I previously rated this place 4 out of 5 stars) Went in last week and our white rice had over 20 dead bugs mixed into it. We were straight up served dead bugs!!! Manager came and said she was at a loss for words! I mean what can you say to that really?! She saw the bugs herself. Just gross! Grossest dinning experience ever! Can’t ever come back here.
