Called and got talked into signing up for a year service plan to fix our fridge. Appt was set for Wednesday between 3 and 6. They said they would call before they arrived. Took time off of work, pulled up to my house at 3 only to find a note that Bob the tech was there at 2:30.needless to say we called and we were told that he did show up early and he did not call first. Never given a reason why… Then we were told the y could not get us a new appt until mid July. Really??? Horrible customer service. Do not use them or A and E Factory service since they cannot seem to show up when they said they would and then apparently want you to wait 2 weeks or more to reschedule an appt. they missed…

Wish Unilocal offered a zero star rating. That would be more accurate to define the lack of services you receive from Sears Home Service. I took half day off of work to accommodate the 4 hour service window they provided. In the end no one came and no one called. They offered no discount or apology. Simply said someone would call in 24 – 48 hours to reschedule… Really … Reschedule? I don’t think so. Avoid these guys they will waste your time.

kenmore elite my ass! 5 hours after replacing a heat element, it stopped drying… and good luck getrting these idiots phone number from the web, they hide it since they do not want to answer calls from pissed off customers… that spend an ass-load of money on sears«elite» products

Our refrigerator was freezing food and we called sears to help us out. He came in, ran a few diagnostics and then told us that there was a vent from the freeze to the refrigerator that was open. The whole thing took 10 minutes but he charged us $ 136 dollars which would be over $ 800 an hour! What a joke.

The freezer broke over the holidays and we needed it working as it also was affecting the refrigerator. I went online and found Sears Home Service repair and went with them as our unit is a Kenmore. I liked the ease of setting up the appointment as it is all done online, I chose the times and was allowed to describe my problem. Our technician called ahead to let me know the exact time in my 4 hour window he would be arriving and he showed up on time. He was clean, well spoken, described the problem exactly the way I read it on the internet, and made the fix. I thought the price was reasonable and it is guaranteed. It took a little longer to fix our fridge and I heard John the tech call his next appointment to let them know he was running a little late and why. I am a fan of this service. They are not totally dedicated to Sears as this is the same group that will come when you buy a Loews product.
