Checked out Sonesta this afternoon for the first time. I hadn’t bowled since November, so I was long overdue — not to mention that I was celebrating the recent news of the merger between the bowling center divisions of AMF and Brunswick. It’s great seeing that two troubled companies united, and are now one. I experienced a very modern bowling center with an ample amount of house balls available, and real bowling shoes that were actually laced and in great condition vs. being the neon, velcro, too loose types that you get elsewhere. Lane conditions were spot on, not too oily or dry. There appeared to be a separate bar with a separate entrance, leading to an outdoor deck with a few regulation sized sand volleyball courts. Gotta admit, I’ve never seen that configuration at a bowling center before, but it might be fun in the warmer months. My only gripe was the cost, although I’m aware that bowling is not cheap these days — 3 games and shoe rental came to just over $ 22. Recommended, but it might be worth going during the times they have unlimited lane rentals, or at least some type of discount.

Took my younger cousins bowling for their first time and this space was great! Friendly and knowledgable staff, great drink specials and so helpful with the little ones!
