Recently moved to new location close to previous but larger. Definitely helps with reducing wait lines which can be a challenge in the weekends. Menu has not changed and quality remains good at this larger size location. Overall good experience with staff, service, food and reasonable prices. One of my preferred breakfast choices in Woodlands.

This is absolutely my favorite breakfast place. I can’t think of anywhere else you can sit down and have a maid to order breakfast with such an extravagant feel. The food is great the atmosphere is awesome the staff is wonderful. I don’t think there’s anything else you could ask for. My favorite place for a Sunday morning breakfast.

So this was a super cute place my friend and I decided to check out on our way to Galveston from Dallas. I love the feel of the place. A perfect brunch spot. There’s good lighting and cute tables too. The wait staff was very polite and let us take our time. The food was good. I got the Belgian waffle which was pretty good, and my friend got the patriot waffle with raspberry and blueberry, which she loved. They offer breakfast and lunch at the same time, but the soups only start around 10. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a brunch place on your commute to Houston. Plus it’s not too far from 45!

Don’t ever go on a Sunday, unless you don’t mind waiting. ;) I’ve always heard about this place, but didn’t make an attempt to eat here. Food is Ok. You’re not missing out.

Love this place! Been coming for years! Management is great! They moved this location closer to the street side of Research Forest, so now you can see it when you drive by! Favorites — Santa Fe Huevos, Athena Scramble, Eggs Benedict, and the original 2 egg breakfast! Everything is delish here. Try there hot sauce on your eggs, you won’t be disappointed!

Recently stopped in for a quick bite and my family of 5 enjoyed this quaint eatery! I have allergies to gluten, soy, and dairy and this restaurant does have a GF menu, however just be careful because the GF potatoes are actually fried in same fryer as gluten products so there is cross contamination. However, although the place looked very busy, we were seated in under 5 minutes. Our waitress Carmen was super friendly and accomodating to my allergies. The kids enjoyed their food. My omelette was good. Cinnamon and Hazlenut coffees were yummy. Food overall was probably a 3, but the service was excellent. The manager was very friendly as well. Would stop here again when in town!

Food was good as I expected. Waitstaff, buss boys never came by throughout our entire breakfast not during our wait to refill any of our drinks. The wife was not happy! Ok after sitting another 10 minutes without a refill not our bill and watching our waiter buss a nearby table, I have dropped a star from this review. I’m getting very impatient and frustrated at this point.

There were 3 of us. We had Cambridge skillet, Persian Benedict, and a custom egg, with Gouda, avocado, and jalapeño and we loved it all. Potatoes were tasty too. Service was good.

Food was O.K. and fresh. We really appreciated the carafe of truly hot coffee. French toast was soggy — so tired of restaurants that don’t know how to make it. Belgian waffle had a stingy amount of fruit on it. Eggs(over easy) slightly over-cooked. Ambience is apropos and delightful.

Service at this location was a bit slow for the amount of tables occupied. The food was on par but not exceptional. I had the Colorado Jack Scramble, a bit of a different choice as I usually get the Banana Strawberry Waffle, which I love. I would have it again. Also, while the classical music was lovely it was too loud.

Im an inner loop foodie, but breakfast is hard to mess up! The Egg & I is a great breakfast place in TW. I had the Veggie Benedict. Full of flavorful veggies, sauce was not overly creamy, eggs done perfectly! Its not a ‘hip’ place(lots of blue hairs on a Fri am), but cozy & yummy.:)

The Egg and I is a good choice for breakfast — not stellar, but good. The service is friendly, and the offerings include all the standard US breakfast fare from waffles, to eggs benedict, omelets and Mexican-style variants. It is always a long wait at weekends telling us first that they are pretty good, and secondly that we need more breakfast places! We were there early this morning(Monday) at around 7am and no wait — so I guess I need to retire so that I can breakfast there during the week :) I wish they would upgrade their coffee — it is passable, but add a couple of bucks and serve GOOD coffee and I will be a regular.

This place use to be good but now not so much. Not sure what changed. Last two visits were bad from a service and cleanliness perspective. Last visit had disgusting flies everywhere

Had a great brunch experience here with the fam. Great food, fast & friendly service, everything you’d hope for an expect from a Mom & Pop brunch place for sure.

One of my favorite go to places in the woodlands. Service is acceptable, food always comes out the way I want it, and pricing is decent. Like most people, I need my coffee. My favorite here would have to be the hazelnut coffee. I do agree that the Parisian Benedict is a favorite among many that come, but I’ll always lean towards the Texas skillet. Steak strips, eggs, bell peppers, and a side a potatoes. Add a little hot sauce and that’s how a great morning begins for me. I’m not expecting an upscale restaurant treatment, but they pretty much do what I expect from a nice quiet breakfast restaurant

I always get the Hiker’s Benedict whenever I go to an Egg & I, and the quality is always perfect. I do have to say though, it is hottest and freshest here even on a busy Sunday Brunch Day – how do they do it?! And in comparison to other benedicts out there, there is no poached egg, English muffin and hollandaise trio out there that stands a chance against the benedicts here. My particular favorite with the Hiker’s Benedict is the way the dill works wonders with the ever so slight tang of the hollandaise – wet works in my mouth. Now in comparison to the other Egg & I restaurants, this one wins by a landslide. I’m not even sure why I found fresh lipstick on my glass – fresher than the fruits were I might add – at the Memorial and Kirkwood location down in Houston. As for service, I am always greeted with a smile and tended to courteously. Thank you servers and hostesses, you know how to do it.

We visited on Easter Sunday. Even though they were full, the waitstaff covered for one another so that we didn’t sit long waiting for at least some drinks. The ambience is light and enjoyable. I had the French Toast plate, and truly enjoyed it. My husband had the waffle and was disappointed because it was flat in the middle – very strange. The eggs had beautiful rich yellow yolk and I enjoyed the dark roast coffee. We will return.

I give the service two stars, and the food four. So, average a three. The service was incredibly sloooow. I had to ask the hostess to find my waitress, and even then… Had the Eggs Benedict, and they were good. They weren’t the best I’ve had(hard to beat the Waldorf Astoria for EB); and when I mentioned that while checking out, the hostess did apologize. I had to explain… But overall, good food with lousy service.

The Tomball location is my favorite breakfast spot, by far. The food here in the Woodlands is just as good — I have yet to be let down by their french toast or the cordon bleu skillet. Charlie M. is the number 1 fan of their huevos rancheros, and no one I have instroduced to the Egg & I’s take on the classic breakfast dishes has voiced complaints. The Research Forest servers; however, remind me that not everyone a) enjoys their job and b) can put on a fake smile if they don’t. Four times I have stopped in, and all four times had coffee slammed onto my table, no smile when taking my order, and have not been checked on for refills or condition of food until the check is left at our table. One of the reasons I miss Tomball :(
