I have often wondered why Houston didn’t have a good Beignets restaurant, then I found Lou Lou’s in The Woodlands. The café au lait was outstanding and the beignets were just like home(New Orleans). Lawrence was very friendly and appreciative of our complements, he was also genuinely pleased when I told him they were«just like home.» Will return often.

Is it a café Dumonde? No. But these are some incredible beignet’s! A great New Orleans-style treat in the Woodlands and an awesome menu. Incredible customer service to boot!

I never had beignets until this place and they were delicious! Light, fluffy and not heavy. The powdered sugar gives it the right touch. We will be going back!

This is the cutest little place in the woodlands. The coffee was fresh and the beignets were light and fluffy. Service was also great as well. It was hard for us to find however. It’s in the shopping strip of the Kroger. Wonderful little place with great décor and free wifi!

Amazing! The food was supreme. It was just enough too for me to eat the dipper option. The strawberries were fresh and they weren’t shy with the powder sugar. The gentleman at the counter was also very nice and genuine. Can’t wait to go there again. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well. It was modern with New Orleans frames. The coffee was also very good. They have a full espresso machine.

I love this place. I liked it so much went back two days in a row. The beignets are light and fluffy. They are the best I have ever had outside of New Orleans. I had the 3 regular size and my wife had a mixture of the small ones. She really liked hers as well. The coffee was outstanding. If you like beignets this is your go to place!

Coffee good, yes. Beignets good, yes. But not at their price point. Again this is fried dough(very cheap to make) with toppings of powdered sugar or chocolate sauce. I would come here more based on their great location if they had more variety to choose from. Whether it be yogurt parfaits, muffins, croissants, something.

Their beignets are so yummy. Crunchy on the outside and airy and fluffy on the inside with powdered sugar on top. The I got mini beignets cause it’s less of a mess. I went after lunch so there wouldn’t be a line or anything. It’s a must try if you like beignets. Very similar to café du monde

The beignets were wonderful and very reasonably priced. My husband had the frappé and it was wonderful. We were very happy and would return. The staff was super nice and the restaurant was clean and welcoming

Excellent New Orleans style beignets with quick and friendly service. We had the regular beignets, beignet bites and beignet dippers and they were all excellent. The consistency of the dough was just right and everything was cooked to perfection. The coffee was delicious too, just note that the café au lait is more of a coffee-house style as opposed to what you would get at Café duMonde in New Orleans. LouLou’s is worth a stop if you are in the area and worth the drive if you aren’t. We will definitely be back again and again!

Nice people, clean, quick service. The beignets are large and crisp, darn near perfect or at least as close as you can come outside of Café Du Monde itself. Had a café au lait and it was hot and slightly strong. Newish place, could use some Blue Dogs or other Louisiana artwork to warm up the industrial feel of the décor. Love the Mardi Gras tree though! Takes some time to get to but well worth the side trip to the western reaches of the Woodlands. Tip: Their outdoor sign is a bit hard to see — look just to the right of Kroger and just to the left of Rico’s. They’re under the veranda near a breezeway.

No need to drive to New Orleans when you can find some warm fluffy sweet beignets right here in The Woodlands. By time you finish your first beignet you’ll be saying, «Café Du Who?» It was a rainy dark morning and I had Lou Lou’s bookmarked so this weather seemed like the perfect time to bite into sweetness. The café has indoor/outdoor seating and it’s cozy industrial décor is a casual welcome. The simple menu lets your order big beignets or little beignets. Dipping sauces are a nice accoutrement. Beignets were brought out freshly made. They were light, hot, chewy and yummy. We ordered two baskets and they were devoured. I ordered a hot cocoa, a Caramel Macchiato, an OJ and a regular coffee. All perfection. Not a long wait and they delivered the beignets to our table. And the service? Friendly, polite, hospitable. It all came together for a five star morning! I’ll be back.

The menu is all beignets, so the name is definitely appropriate. I’m certainly not an expert on a «real» beignet, so take my opinion for what it’s worth. But, what I’ve found at Loulou’s is a terrific staff, friendly and helpful, which really helps get the day started on the right foot. Nothing like a cheerful face first thing in the AM. Very valuable. The beignets come out piping hot and absolutely covered in powdered sugar(which I understand is how they should be), and I’m certainly not complaining about that! Crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, these are definitely a treat. You can get cinnamon sugar beignets instead, and there are some dipping sauces if that’s your thing, but the regular beignets with powdered sugar really don’t need any help. They stand on their own. The prices are OK. It’s more expensive that your run-of-the-mill donut shop, but they also make everything fresh to order, so not a problem. Breakfast will cost about $ 6, which is fast food prices for a much nicer product and atmosphere. Loulou’s will definitely be a regular stop for me!

The atmosphere here has that traditional café vibe. The music playing adds that touch of Louisiana that makes you feel as if you’re actually there. The beignet is of course piping hot to order and is pretty good for a Texas beignet spot. There’s also dipping sauces for all my saucy people that have an extra large sweet tooth. Would recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet place to check your feed, unwind with a cup of coffee, and that bite of Louisiana that will indulge your guilty side you’ve been waiting all week for.

I have been here multiple times in the last few weeks, and I am still very happy with the product. The café au lait is consistently hot and strong, and is one of the best cups of coffee in The Woodlands. The beignets are light and fluffy, and the seasonal lemon dipping sauce is amazing! My only issue is the fact that it can get very loud in there, especially with all the suburban moms and toddlers that frequent the place. So if you are looking for a nice place to study this place isn’t it. Now I have only been there in the mornings around 10 am, so perhaps other times of the day it is more quiet. The free WiFi has a strong signal, so that is another plus. More outdoor seating would be nice too, especially once the cooler weather sets it. I’ve spoken to the manager or owner a couple of times, and he is very nice and genuine. I told him how impressed I was by the café au lait and told him I would write a nice review on Unilocal. This will still be one of my regular places to get good coffee in The Woods, since there are so few good coffee places here!

Came in here last night after having dinner with my wife, we ordered half a dozen powdered sugar beignets and coffee and it was simply amazing! The beignets tasted so good. I wish they had these in Houston, it makes me wanna move to the woodlands!

Found out about this place through our paper. It is new. My wife and I had the beignets while the kids had the beignet bites for dipping into the caramel and chocolate sauces they had. I have had the best beignets in Louisiana and I have to say these are very comparable and equally delicious. Beignets are made fresh to order and are brought to your table hot. They were delicious. To drink I had the vanilla bourbon latte and it was pretty tasty. I wish it had real bourbon. I will definitely come here again on a weekend afternoon.

Ordered three beignets. They came out hot, light, perfect color«freshly made» and covered in white powdery sugars. I really enjoyed them. What a nice alternative to donuts. For something as messy as these things they keep the restaurant clean and picked up. And, the help staff was courteous and helpful. They also serve a nice assortment of coffees to go with your desert. Definitely worth a visit and I’ll be back. So glad to see a family owned business come into this spot. Third visit now, upgraded to a 5 star. The people who work here are so nice.
