Best food in town. Nice view also. Love it here. Definitely will be back for more good food.

Customer Service and Desire to Retain you as a client? Not here Was a wine club member for a year. Not once did we receive notice that the wine are in and available for pickup. Not once did we receive a phone call or reminder to come and pick up wines. Onus is on us you say. Sure, but for not picking up wines after 3 months — you think they’d call and remind their clients; invite them in for a tasting. Unfortunately not an isolated incident. My spouse went in to pick up 3 months of forgotten wines and comment that we weren’t getting notices and they were not calling us. Apologies all round, won’t happen again. Happened the very next month. Spouse went in again and complained, stood in line behind 2 others complaining about the same issue, one canceled their membership. Goodness, shame to lose a customer like that. But guarantees that the solution was fixed; wasn’t. Happened again the next 3 three months in a row. I guess we were responsible for managing our own alerts. I finally went and canceled, signed a long list of canceled members — seems I’m not alone in fleeing this wine club. Over and done with? No. they continued to charge our credit card for 4 months, 1⁄3 of a year, and they were days away from charging for a 5th month. Not once did they look at the list of open/unclaimed wines against charges and consider picking up the phone. I’m sure they would have been happy to charge away until the card expired. They have zero checks and balances in place. Owner was honestly embarrassed about it but only offered to refund part of the funds. His choice on customer service. Alternate responses that might have saved the relationship could have been…“Come in and have a glass of wine with your wife on us; we have a band Thursday.” «Very sorry for the mix up, have the bottles on us and here’s a coupon for you next visit.» Starting and maintaining a business is tough sir. Getting the processes correct is tough. Unfortunately the business is one oriented to customer service. Unfortunately when one creates an anti-customer you lose more than just one customer. Hi All, Perry’s next door has great happy hour specials.

This was my first time going so I was pretty excited. The lady working at the time was polite and knowledgeable about the various wines, she was attentive but not annoying. We had a delicious bottle of Pinot and around 6pm they began live music. Great for couples and wine lovers. I can’t wait to go back probably my birthday weekend. Even once the lady left the other workers were just as nice and made sure to let us know different events they have there. For two people you will spend about $ 35-$ 40.

Negative reviews should be rare, since most of the time both staff and management are trying to do a good job but for a variety of reasons are missing the mark for a 4-star or 5-star rating. But my recent experience at Cellar 24 compels me to write a thorough observation and issue a warning to others. We gave Cellar 24 a try on a recent Friday evening. I really wanted to like this place. This would be a nice alternative to experience and purchase wine. I’ve been to many combination wine stores and tasting bars so I was really looking forward to this experience. Upon arrival, during the peak of happy hour, the place was empty — which should have been a warning sign(C24 has been in operation here for two years so they should have built clientele by now.) We chose a table and sat down after an explanation of their store layout(by varietal, reserve wines in the back, $ 8 fee added for wine purchased and opened on premise). We were given the evening’s menu consisting of a very limited selection of white and red wines by the glass, a few select beers & a brief menu of appetizer items to accompany one’s beverages. The staff informed us that C24 offers wines from«small and boutique» wineries from around the world — under 500 cases. For a wine aficionado, this would be a very good alternative to the mass market offerings at Kroger, HEB& even Spec’s. I immediately spotted wines from well-known wineries that produce significantly more than 500 cases of their wines, including Gloria Ferrer, Elyse, Sbragia, Stag’s Leap. Demerits for that misrepresentation. And, for enthusiasts who understand that red wines should be stored and, more importantly, served at cellar temperature, not one bottle or glass of C24’s red wines are stored/served at cellar temp. I was told by staff, that«all of our wines are at cellar temperature, the same as the store…68 degrees.» Target wine cellar temp is 55 degrees. Max serving temp for high end reds is 60 – 62 degrees. Co-owner Shelli Moran was at Fleming’s for 10 yrs and has Sommelier training should know this. The result: reds are too warm which accentuates the alcohol on the palate and distracts from the flavor and depth intended by the winemakers. If this is what your business is all about, then you should get it right. The wine by the glass selection was pitiful for a wine store/wine bar that presents themselves as specializing in «boutique» wines. This implies they have great wines that you can’t get elsewhere; that are hard to find but are above average if not exceptional quality. A wine bar that only offers 4 – 5 white wines by the glass? If that’s all, then each one should be very special. Not here. The sparking? California’s Gloria Ferrer(hardly a boutique winery). The sole Sauvignon Blanc?(2013 Van Ruiten). It was an insipid, thin, barely passable white wine. It lacked body, bite, and any of the refreshing citrus that is a standard of a basic Sauv Blanc — let alone one that has the allure of a «boutique winery. A quick web check — this wine has ratings of 83. 83? On your tasting list? Seriously? This is how you want customers to experience your boutique selection? I tried their Sangiovese blend. Much better quality but too warm. They don’t do wine flights because I heard a server say they wash all the glasses by hand and if they did flights it would be too many glasses. If you are allegedly trying to entice customers into trying and buying bottles of your«boutique wines» why would you fail to give your customers the option to sample multiple wines and in all likelihood discover one of more that they like and would purchase?(and get a washing machine… you’re not using Riedels) Co-owner Shelli was there and not once came over to greet us or check in to see how we were doing. She did stop by once — to remove our menus.(God forbid we might want to order something else.) The place was empty, what’s the deal with two stray menus? We watched her walk out to sit alone at a table in front of the store with a glass of wine. Unreal. The staff needs training. They did say, «if you need anything, let me know» but then they sort of ignored us. Examples of missteps: water wasn’t offered until we we’re about to ask for the check; no offer to taste the wine on the exceptionally short tasting menu before committing to a glass; no visit to the table to see if we liked the wine we were tasting, etc. But the classic ‘fail’ here is this: the store has a «wine club» which presumably offers members a unique selection of wines with special discounts, exclusive wines, tasting notes, etc. Yet, for some bizarre reason(to minimize wine sales I suppose), the staff never explained the club, the benefits or(hey, here’s an idea) offer a sample taste of wine from the club program they just opened… or the wine club member discount for your first bottle as an incentive to join the club. Nothing. What a missed opportunity. I hope that the C24 team gets their act together & make some improvements.

Staff is not inviting or welcoming. Corking fee which has been addressed previously is a joke. Food was mediocre. Cool looking space. Couples night out.

What a lovely time we had tonight celebrating my husband’s birthday here. The owners are wonderful and so knowledgeable about their extensive wine selection. I let the birthday boy chose a red from Novelty Hill Janiuk Winery in Woodinville, WA! We paired the wine with their cheese/charcuterie plate, having picked 4 beautiful cheeses and meats accompanied by olives, cornichons, crackers, honey grapes and a jelly! Shelli’s artichoke dip was freshly made and came right out of the oven… it had the consistency of a light soufflé served with a warm baguette! The music was great and at just the right volume! They do not charge their $ 8 corkage fee on Tuesdays! We are really looking forward to joining their wine tastings every other Wednesday. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday celebration perfect in every way :)

We had really been looking forward to visiting this wine bar. We told our server we wanted to stay under a certain dollar amount for a bottle. All was great until we got our bill and noticed a 8 dollar corking fee. Wouldn’t have been a problem if we knew that was a charge BEFORE we chose a wine at the top of our budget! Will not be back!

Great way to spend a very nice and quiet evening. My wife and I went there for the 1st time yesterday, had a great time. Friendly service, great selection of wines and short eats, relaxing ambience, reminded me of the coffee shop from FRIENDS… This will be our regular go-to place for date-night!

Decent food, great wine. Had the current Malbec by the glass and I have to say it’s one of the smoothest I’ve had for the price. This is a hidden gem in the back of The Woodlands. Will come back for late night wine and Friday/Saturday night music. Stay away from the crab cakes.

Wife and I stopped in on a Saturday night. Great atmosphere and super, lower-volume and more obscure wine selections. Awesome beer choices too. Owners are very friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to return.

We were here at lunchtime today(1pm) and had the place to ourselves. I don’t usually like being the only patrons but Anthony made us so completely comfortable, and more like guests than«customers.» We decided on a selection of 4 cheeses and the bruschetta. It was just enough and went great with both the Malbec that I chose & the IPA my husband prefers. Anthony explained to us the benefits of becoming a Cellar 24 wine club member and we discussed certain wines and pairings and beers. There was a beer that was new to Houston from the Sweet Water Brewery in Atlanta, then Anthony showed hubby a Belgium beer that was also new. We brought one of those home and a bottle of Russian River Valley(Russian Hill.) I can’t wait to go back one evening and try more! Thoroughly recommend this wine bar.

Woodlands Wine Company has been taken over by new management; I think they’re adopting a new name as well– Studio 24, maybe. They were delightful. The place is tucked away in the Sterling Ridge shopping center alongside Nit Noi and Great Harvest. I honestly loved the employees, the manager, and the setup. It’s a chic little place with great wines by the glass, bottles for retail price purchase that you can split, small bites, etc. Coming next week, they’ll have some live music on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. It was perfect for ladies’ day drinks, and it’d be lovely for a date night. I especially loved that it wasn’t as cookie-cutter as a lot of the places are in The Woodlands.
