I got married at Sea Ranch Lodge, booking an Elopement Package. Since our wedding was mid-week, off-season, and less than 30 people, our wedding planner, the lovely miss Sage C. McRae, was happy to set up our wedding however we wanted it. The ceremony was moved at the very last minute due to weather, but that was not an issue; Sage took care of it. She also made sure that the wait staff present were the best people at the hotel.(When we were there to sign some papers we met a less polite employee, but she was not at the Lodge the day of the ceremony.) As we were leaving, Sage even gave us a very thoughtful and kind gift.(We should have given her a gift, too, as she informed us that she is moving to another hotel to work her magic.) The location is breathtaking. The lodge itself feels cozy, but we did not stay in a room at the lodge. We stayed in 2 vacation rental homes, Black Point House and Constellation House. They were exactly what we expected, not super fancy but comfortable. We had a wonderful time, and hope to go back with all our friends some day. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is because some of the front desk staff are not very nice and seem a little lost when asked questions.

Two stars for the views and sound of the ocean, but this was definitely not worth the $ 250 per night price tag. I was also disappointed that we were suppose to have a fireplace in our room, but they were overbooked and couldn’t give us a room with one. It was odd that we had requested a single california king, but we ended up with two queens. This is definitely in the middle of nowhere. It’s very peaceful, but if it rains and you cannot hike, there is nothing to do in the area. Additionally, we were on the bottom floor and could here the guests upstairs talking and walking/jumping around. The room definitely lacked the«luxury feel» you would expect when paying over $ 200 per night for a room. It would also be nice if they had a hot tub or gym on the grounds for guest use. We will not be back.

Wow! What an incredible location to spend a relaxing weekend! Seriously, this place is breathtaking. The rooms afford an amazing view of the coast and ocean. I woke up every morning to amazing sights. The lodge has many amazing trails that I could walk all day and not get sick of. There is a LOT to explore here. I also dined in the restaurant and really enjoyed it(see my separate review of that for details). If you need a quiet place to relax for the weekend, this is your spot!

I’m currently a guest here at a wedding. There is a massive floodlight located directly outside my window with incredibly bright light streaming right into my eyes all night. The window coverings are entirely sheer and provide no protection from the blinding light. When I called to inquire a solution the woman at the front desk(apparently the only staff member available) was totally rude and unhelpful. She basically told me to suck it up and deal. Nice customer service.(Will be posting this on trip advisor as well)

Impecable service, delicious food, and in perfect amount(except the bread was only three pieces, but maybe we hoped for more only because we were really hungry). I had the pork chop and loved absolutely everything about it. My friend had the sole with risotto and she gives it an 8 out of 10. For dessert, we had the cannoli and it was one of the most heavenly desserts we’ve had! Absolutely recommend it.

My experience with Sea Ranch Lodge was truly exceptional! The lodge, the little window in the high wooden ceiling, and the fireplace added to the romantic atmosphere and the stunning view of the Sonoma Coast from the bed was simply amazing. It was like a beautiful oil on canvas. I woke up the next morning thinking I was in heaven. I don’t think I will ever forget that very moment. I couldn’t be happier. Six stars!

Holy shit is it hard to get here. Don’t ever drive up here at night. But once you do, it’s five stars all around: the unbelievably breathtaking scenery, great service, yummy food, a romantic room with soaring ceilings, a fireplace, and the type of view you want to wake up to every morning for the rest of your life. My only regret is staying for only one night.

Not great… I’ll preface this by saying I came here with a large group, so we may not have had the best experience. They sat us in a really nice room with a great ocean view, we saw a beautiful sunset. They only serve local wine, and they sent over their«wine expert» to help us pick out a few bottles, none of us really liked his recommendations. Our server forgot one persons order in our group which was disappointing. And the food was OK, nothing spectacular.

This is my paradise, from the location to the design to the rooms, absolute bliss. My wife and I stayed here for a few nights in July, it was the highlight of our trip. We loved our stunning room, lovely design, super clean and amazing views. The property has an expansive network of trails and gorgeous beaches, the on-site restaurant and bar are the perfect place to relax and unwind. A true oasis, 5 stars all day!

What a beautiful location. I imagine this property was once a valued destination spot for many travelers. The views are priceless. My bf booked us a room for the 4th of July weekend and we were excited to try a new coastal hotel. We entered the hotel after a 2 – 3 hr drive from the SJ only to wait while the front desk clerk tapped away on her computer. 1 min…2 mins… not even a greeting. Awkward. We had to initiate the conversation and the clerk looked annoyed to be there. Throughout the transaction there was no explanation of the property, spa times, restaurant… nada. Through conversation, we find out that the clerk was trying to «rush out» because she wanted to get to the local 4th of July festival down the road. Yep. We get to our room and it was dated with a broken screen and a sad little bathroom. Luckily, the views from the room were gorgeous and the moonlight shining into our room made for a very romantic evening. The restaurant — Fantastic view, great service, but terrible food. We will not be coming back anytime soon.
