Dry Hollow Vineyards

Whoa. We had no idea what we were in for when we went to Dry Hollow’s tasting room. A little hard to find, made a few wrong turns, wondered if it was going to be worth it. We were well rewarded. Driving past acres and acres of orchard, over undulating hills and beautiful blue eastern Oregon skies, we ended up at a little log cabin in the middle of an orchard. Inside the owner poured our wines for us. The wines were all lovely, and the views from the tasting room only sweetened our experience. The owner was very pleasant, and we signed up for a 5k run she was putting on from the winery where proceeds went to a local animal shelter. We didn’t end up making it to the run, but we sure will make it back to this gem of a place!

If you live in The Dalles or are just passing through, don’t miss Dry Hollow Vineyards. Situated in the beautiful hills south of The Dalles you will find a gem of a vineyard. Bridget and Eric are wonderful hosts in their lovely tasting room. They are knowledgeable and very friendly. The wines are nicely developed and delicious to taste. My favorite is the Fort Dalles Red. You will not be disappointed!
