Good food, but nothing special stuck out to me. My cousins were going on and on about how great this place was so I decided to finally try it. In my opinion, I think Raising Canes is better. Don’t get me wrong, food is good but it was like any regular place. Service was good and the restaurant is spacious. I’ve been here a couple of times, but nothing really draws me back to keep coming back.

These are by far the smallest and nastiest chicken wings that I’ve had this side of TX. The hot sauce wing flavor is just«off». I ordered a few hot wings via the drive thru, and they had to have been cooked hours before I ordered,(plus the sauce was simply thrown on top of them.) The fries were also soggy. Yuck, on to the next wing spot.

Good was ok basically you get what you pay for. I had the chicken salad sandwich was good. My son had the BBQ boneless wings and was still hungry wasn’t enough food for him. We also added a side of the fried cheese bites they were not to bad. We will won’t be back.

Walked in and walked out due to service or the lack thereof. Husband and I went in for dinner at 7 o’clock on a Monday night. They didn’t have a single customer. One employee was taking a break. Another was in the kitchen. They just looked at us while we waited at the counter. No thanks!

It is like a Layne’s or a Raising Cane’s with larger variety. The sauce is similar to Cane’s. They also have more sides and wings. For me about like Cane’s bit better if I want wings also

Service was good but the food was subpar. Please don’t eat here and let it make an impression on you. The Cedar Park location is so much better.

Came here one random evening after reading Unilocal reviews. The colony location is little difficult to get to, due to construction, but once inside you are in for a treat. Younger adults working but surprisingly the place was very clean. I got to the register, mentioned this was my first time, the young lady was very upbeat and friendly and stated«everything here is great»! i ordered wingz and tenders. both were cooked to perfection and the meat was seasoned. nice piece of toast! cool experience. zaxbys over canes but not many zaxbys to really take the cake! oh and i walked away w two coupons for a free meal on my next visit!

This food was extremely salty!!! I had heard so many good things and was expecting something similar to chick fil a or raising canes instead I had a plate filled with oily salty food– my nieces and father complained of the same things– an excess of salt. Not coming back. We were thoroughly disappointed.

Great fast food. I love to go on Tuesdays for kids eat free. You get 2 kids meals for each adult meal. Perfect for a mom of 2. Always friendly and clean.

Chicken was good, fries could have been better. Tried this because of the reviews and probably won’t go back. This place is just average. If you are looking for something quick and average then you are safe to go here.

The food here is so addictively good! The staff was very friendly and they got my order correct the first time(if you eat enough fast food you know it is almost expected to have your order messed up at most places). The dining area and bathroom were very clean. My only complaint is that there aren’t more Zaxby’s in this area. I live in Lewisville and this place is just a bit out of the way. If given the choice between Zaxby’s and Raising Cane’s, Zaxby’s is by far more tasty and has more variety of chicken. The Zaxby’s sauce is also much better than Cane’s.

1st time here for pickup. The boneless wings are amazing! But the seasoned fries are heavily salted. The Texas toast reminds me of Cane’s but not quite there.

The chicken here is really good and it’s way better than canes and they have shakes. Canes doesn’t have shakes so I’m sticking to zaxbys.

Not perfect food. But on Sundays when I’m dying for Chick-fil-a, it is. Like Cane’s and Chick-fil-a had a crack baby. Sweet tea too.

Back before I was a vegetarian, I used to frequent this place. It’s a hole in the wall and too un-popular for what they have to offer. My favorite was the huge, fried chicken salad with TWO packets of ranch(because one is just not enough). The salad can also be split between two people, depending on how hungry you are. It comes with a piece of heavenly buttered Texas toast, too! The sweet tea is good, too. The fried pickles aren’t that great, leave that to the experts at Pluckers. Overall a cool place, usually not crowded so you can plan on having a nice quiet dinner without the hustle and bustle of a regular fast food joint.

Bland and dry… didn’t like it one bit. Not worth the waste of money for me. I tried it because at the time there wasn’t many chicken places close by. I will never eat here again. Staff was nice and food was quick only reason why it got 2 stars

The best chicken fingers, seasoned fries & sweet tea around. I loved this place when I was in college in Georgia. So glad it’s opened up here. The Zax sauce is AH-MAZING! Native Texans seem to like raising caines, which is good – but not as good as Zaxbys. I also love that I can get a salad, or appetizers or dessert if I want… not that I need it after eating here:) I’ve had raising canes and I always considered it a knock off Zaxbys. Close but Zaxbys actually seasons their chicken and fries. Raising canes tastes like they don’t add any seasoning – just fried in oil.

My wife and I dropped by here for lunch a few weeks ago; we were mainly interested in the chicken strips, as this was our first visit to any Zaxby’s and we knew this is what they’re famous for. We did get a «meal deal» that featured fries, but the they were fairly average. As for the chicken, it was definitely good, but in MY opinion on the comparison against competitor Raising Cane’s, I think Cane’s takes it. The taste and texture were good, but the chicken itself could have been more substantial compared to the batter. The sauce here is pretty good, but again, not as good as the competition. Bottom line, the food was good, but not outstanding.
