Food used to be really good but the last few times I have been its really been subpar. I don’t know what the change is but it’s not a good one whatever it is!

Okay Chinese food. It is your typical fast Chinese food. Great for a quick bite and better alternative than American fast food. My portion of the pad Thai was huge, which is a plus and employees were nice. Restaurant is clean. They do delivery and have a drive thru. Food is cheap.

Love this place… until now. Ordered the beef flat noodle which is my favorite and it was a pile of mush. I was so looking forward to this tonight. Not sure what went wrong…

Amazing edamame! I got the chicken teriyaki bowl while the hubs got Dragon & Phoenix, both were outstanding and so fresh. We will be going there more, that’s for sure.

Pretty good food for Chinese/​American quick food style. The customer service was great and portions were good sizes for the price. We got the chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, sesame chicken and tsao chicken and all was very good and tasted fresh! Will come back here for some quick fast food Chinese.
Oh and this place is waaaaay better than Panda Express…

The only Chinese food in The Colony that is not scary… so wins by default! My 4 star review is influenced by the fact that other Chinese food in The Colony is… horrible.
Decent, solid, predictable Americanized Chinese food, it is exactly what you want if you are in the mood for that kind of food, which occasionally happens to me.
Great portions, and not just quantity over quality; I truly enjoy every bite. I love the Orange Chicken, and have had a few other random dishes, I think one had walnuts, and all tasty. No nasty bits in the chicken, which is a huge problem at many Chinese places. And it tastes less processed than junk like Panda Express.
In fact, this is what places like Panda Express aspire to be; solid, enjoyable, Americanized Chinese food. And it is less salty than Panda or Pei Wei. And to top it off, they hand out Fortune Cookies! (Oh wait… every place like this has Fortune Cookies.)
But seriously, though… no complaints from me.

This is a really good place. I got the general chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken was not heavily breaded but crispy and tasty. The rice 2as rice and the egg roll really crispy. I’ll be back.

Orange peel chicken was good. Broccoli was cold and only 2 pieces. Dumpling sauce wasn’t good at all.

I’ve been a customer here for 2 years and order about once a month. I used to love it because the food was good but lately their customer service has been going downhill. I explicitly ask for sauce every time and half the time they forget it… Today I ordered two meat entrees and got mostly veggies (see pictures). I called to address the issue and the girl who answered was very rude. THEIR LOSS — they just lost a loyal customer.

I’ve been looking for a low key/​decent Chinese food delivery spot for months and I’ve finally found it. My food was delivered in less than 30 minutes and I live in Austin Ranch… Which is an incredibly confusing and overly large apartment complex. Needless to say, I have never received delivery in less than 30 minutes! And especially not without having to direct a very lost delivery guy to my doorstep over the phone.
Aside from the delivery, the food was delicious and relatively cheap. I highly recommend the beef and broccoli. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

Pretty decent. I’ve gotten very sick on Chinese food before and by this place also. I tried it again 1 years later and I was impressed. General Tsao spicy turns out to be very good.

This place is AMAZING for fast food Asian. They even have chicken nuggets for kids that are not fans of the food. Don’t let the local or building (Used to be an old KFC Chicken shack) fool you. This place is a hidden gem for grub in T. C!!! Food is priced right, with daily specials as well and the portions are enough for the hungriest of eaters. Often we have leftovers or can share a entre. Be watchful of the Mongolian Beef. They like to load it down with a butt load of onions. I don’t mind, but some may not like it. I understand they now offer DELIVERY as well.

I received a flyer today from Wok Xpress so I drove there to order their «Daily Special». Their Daily Special changes about once a month and it was Combo Lo-​Mein this time. The portion was huge but it was little watery (lots of liquid sauce) but still good tasting. Their menu showed two different prices: one for lunch and one for dinner… you can order either anytime and it just signifies size difference in portions. You can see the kitchen from the counter and it appeared fairly clean. I haven’t tried other dishes yet but I saw them coming out of the kitchen and they looked very good. It looks like dinner portion is about twice the lunch portion but only cost about 50% more.

I eat A LOT of Chinese food. I LOVE Chinese food. I cook my own Chinese food on occasion. I’m a bit of a white boy Chinese food connoisseur.
I have been here 8 times in the past 2 months. Between 3-​close. Every time– The food has been MUTh@f$ck!%g DELICIOUS. Like linen table cloths restaurant quality good. So far there’s been no wrong dish to order. I’ve tried the shrimp fried rice, the general tso’s (both extra spicy and normal) the orange peel chicken (which finally prompted this review) the sesame chicken, the combination fried rice and the pad Thai and the fried dumplings. All of them were literally moan out loud and stare wide eyed at my dining partner trying to scream «THIS SHIT IS DELICIOUS» with a mouth full of food level of good. Even the eggrolls are good. And so often the eggrolls you get as a side at Chinese fast food/​delivery places are boring as hell. :cough coughPanda Expresscough cough:
I’m looking at it right now (7÷6÷14) and the health rating was bumped to a B, but I see this same rating posted in a lot of restaurants in the colony. And– 8 times. I ain’t dead yet. Haven’t even gotten sick.
The only negatives I’ve experienced here is when I came in about 20 minutes before close the kid at the register told me I wasn’t allowed to eat in, had to get it to go. And, the one time I ordered it for delivery the flavors were somehow off– still good, but not as good. But they delivered to my apartment in Carrollton which is like 7 miles away. Jimmy John’s down the street from me won’t even do that. That’s good customer service.
If you don’t like this food, you’re either Having a stroke and need to see a doctor, or you need to tell me where you found better Chinese food.

It was good! Hot, tasty, and quick. Dan Dan Noodle was exceptional.

Saying that this place serves Chinese food is like saying Taco Bell serves Mexican food. Agreed? Alright, then let’s move on.
After looking around for a new place close to our apartment to get some grub, my boyfriend and I decided we’d try this place. Upon walking in, the first thing you see is the «C» health rating on the wall to your right. Probably not the best sign, but we continued on.
The guys who work there are friendly enough. What bugged me is that no one was eating inside, they didn’t seem busy, but there were plenty of dirty tables around. Do not want.
Now, for the actual food. The best way I can describe it is «meh.» The broccoli beef was. not good. (The beef sucked, but I ate the crap out of some broccoli.) The fried rice was super bland. The egg drop soup was pretty flavorless as well. The best part of my meal was the egg roll I ordered.
My boyfriend ordered the. phoenix and dragon? And he really enjoyed it.
I would come back for my boyfriend, but otherwise, you should just skip this place and go straight to Panda Express.

Went back today, 2013÷06÷22, they still have a C rating plus now they are getting stingy with the rice.

fast food chinese place in my neighborhood. service and food have gone down hill significantly in the past year. and they stopped carrying the only thing i like from there… shrimp eggrolls… because customers complained about them being too small. :-/
lots of inexperienced teens work here, which makes me want to steer clear
