I’ve been here a few times and the food is decent I don’t understand the 5 star reviews. For the cost of the food it should be much better. Last night we went in party of just 2. Were sat immediately and brought chips and salsa. I ordered a mojito to which they replied we are out of Rum would you like something else I said no. 10 minutes later waitress finally comes back and says oh we can make you a mojito. Ok great and we ordered our food. Which was nachos and 3 street tacos (both items on appetizer menu) drink comes out a few minutes later and tastes like they used vodka instead of rum in the mojito. Literally 45 minutes go by the waitress doesn’t check on us to the point I had to flag her down. 2 empty drink glasses and empty chips for over 20 mins and I ask where our food is as we have now been in our booth for nearly an hour and still no food. She leaves comes back 10 mins later and says sorry they are working on it we had a large party we had to service first? Ok. Great so maybe set the expectation. The reason we ordered apps instead of entrees was so we could eat light and get in and out. Well after an hour I told them just bring me the check for the joke of a mojito. Horrible service no apology for delay. It takes 10 minutes max to grill the chicken to put on top of chips and my brisket tacos should have already had the meat cooked and ready. This place is walking distance from my home and I will not be going back.

Been wanting to try this place for a while now since we pretty much live right next to it and we finally did! Their brisket tacos were delicious and so were their beeritas! The brisket was so juicy! My fiancé and our friend had the Maza King burritos and they were HUGE! They both said they tasted amazing. The salsa with the complementary chips was on point too.
The service was great! Will definitely be back!

This place is amazing! We had the chicken fajitas and the pollo y hongos. So, so good! We will definitely be back. Monday is margarita day, all day too.

GOOD service and delicious food. My husband had tilapia a la plancha and it was light and flakey with great fresh sauce. I had enchiladas crema and it was excellent. The ambiance is simple but the food is good.

Wonderful food, service, and ambiance! Our server was very helpful by recommending the signature drink on happy hour, entrees, etc. He seemed to genuinely care of the experience for my husband and me. We will definitely be back frequently. Highly recommend!

I love Mazas, they are always nice and service is grear. Food is always good and arrives quickly. Ive been several times and each time was great. I also have food allergies and they always accomidate that as well.

Great service, every time I come here I always see a smiling face. Also, the margaritas are always served on the strong side. Great food, good drinks and friendly service from a place that i drove by many times.

Food was excellent! The queso chorizo was delicious and, although an appetizer, was really a meal by itself. Then it was on to the brisket tacos (hey, I was hungry!). Simply outstanding. Extremely tender and fantastically tasty. A couple of cold brews served by the on top of it all wait staff rounded out a terrific experience. Will definitely return when I’m back in town.

Came for appetizers only and split an order of veggie quesadillas which were hot and extremely flavorful. It is very difficult to make remarkable Mexican food in Houston however these folks have somehow managed to do so. The quesadillas were remarkable because they were not queso alone but you could actually detect the flavor and consistency of mushrooms and
addition to some variant of monterrey jack cheese. This alone would be sufficient as an entrée but in addition the plate is accompanied by a side of guacamole and queso picante. This dish included Pico de Gallo which was liberally flecked with Jalapenos. I will return for an entrée.

All right Maza, I give you back your 4 star review. I came in during off hours and everything was good. Evan and Ignacio were excellent. Nachos were really good. All three of my reviews have been honest. Service is iffy at busy times and frequently understaffed. The fajita beef on the nachos is fantastic yet the beef fajitas have been forgettable. But all good tonight.

We have been here three times now. Yesterday we had the entire family, little kids included. My son said this was his new favorite and return often. My grandkids are learning Spanish and the folks here helped them use it here.

While visiting family in Frisco, we found the overwhelmingly positive reviews for Maza Bar & Grill. Wow, were we glad we went! Lunch on a very hot Saturday was very light. The service was outstanding, however. Our server was genuinely helpful and friendly, making great suggestions.
We were more than pleased with our selections: brisket tacos, brisket enchiladas and chicken fajitas. Truly TexMex! I can’t recommend Maza enough! We’ll be back next time we’re in town and I’m sure our family living in Frisco will be back sooner.

went her for a dinner out with some friends and this place is fun. Basically a local favorite, great food and service. Certainly this isn’t some super high end restaurant, but it does texmex very well. I’m a big fan…
The only downside is all of the construction on the road to get to the business.

We are both vegetarian so sometimes dining can be a challenge, not here– granted not tons of options, and we both opted for the veggie enchiladas and were so pleased, lots of fresh vegetables– and our plates didn’t look like cat food-​which I think thats the case with Mexican. Its in a strip mall, and the atmosphere is boring so that’s why only 4 stars. Our bill for 2 with two margaritas each was 45–

Maza’s Brisket Tacos and Spicy Cheese dip is amazing. Service is top notch. The inside is nothing to write home about but, the food is great!

Yummsville! This place has great salsa and taco salad! And the nachos are out of this world — instead of a big pile of nachos, it’s 6 huge tortilla chops loaded up individually and baked! So good.
Also amazingly tasty margs — go at happy hour for a great deal!

This place is a gem! Best vegetarian quesadillas I’ve had! The dipping sauce was excellent as well. My husband ordered the brisket tacos and loved them too. We will be coming back soon!
