This is a wonderful shop. There’s a genuine mom-and-pop experience. Folks are friendly and kind and attentive. The food is always hot and tasty. If you’re hankering for a hoedown go somewhere else. If you’re longing for good Chinese food, then this is the only place to go.

Food is good but the staff is not friendly at all! Not even the owners! Too many other Asian restaurants that appreciate the business!

When they first opened the food was amazing. Since then though they’ve changed the chicken, and it is just average at best.

We are regular customers. The prices for decent chinese is just to good to pass up. Our favorite is the fried won tons with cream cheese — delicious and only $ 4 for 8. Great lunch prices. The food varies — very good hot and sour soup — some stir frys were bland and uninteresting with tired vegetables. Pass up the BBQ chicken on the appetizer — it is dry and tough. Sesame chicken is great. A recommended lunch spot. Dinning room is cramped and service is spotty.

Food was great, as usual, but the soups were only half bowls. What is up with that? Did they run out of soup? If costs went up, charge more and give me a full bowl of soup. Hopefully next time we can have a full bowl of soup.

Food doesn’t taste authentic. Literally tastes like a white person cooked it. Lacked a lot of flavor that a good Chinese place would have. The chicken was hard as well as the dumplings in the wonton soup.

Had lunch Kung po beef, shrimp in lobster sauce and po po tray. Everything was hot and fresh. Hot and sour soup was also good. Agree that this is best Chinese food in TC. Highly recommend this place.

Definitely coming back!!! The restaurant is small, but good service. I had coconut shrimp and my partner had sesame chicken. They bring out of as it’s cooked, not all at once, so you get the hottest possible. We eat here about once a week if possible.

Good was pretty good, the best was the general tso’s, chicken fried rice had unseasoned chicken and was very bland. Service is also not the best. Overall if I was in the area I would come back just for the General Tso’s.

Best Chinese Food @ Texas City I have dined in and take out service is sufficient. General Tso Chicken is good beef and broccoli, and sweet and sour chicken as well. Hot & Sour soup is the best better Happy Buddah, Egg rolls are huge and filled and they run circles @ Happy Buddah’s. Now the rice isn’t my favorite because I’m really not a rice eater, but it taste some type of way not sure but can’t put my finger on it, any who I just eat @ it, the place is clean which is good and doesn’t smell funny like McDonald’s, but remember when you place a phone order(What Your Order) is the greeting you will receive and talk fast and clear and please know what you want, because I thought the cook was multitasking

I think this is the best chinese sit down /take out place in town. I’ve only been a few times, but every time I visit, I receive excellent service and a tasty meal. My favorite dish thus far is the black pepper beef. It comes with fried rice, numerous chopped onions, black pepper, diced bell pepper, jalapeños and serranos. The food always come out hot and steaming from the kitchen and service is excellent here. Their hot spicy shrimp is not as hot as they claim. After I ordered it, they say«I’ve been warned». However, if you eat spicy food on a regular basis, it shouldn’t be a problem. The restaurant is small and only has about 13 tables, but the turnover is quick during lunchtime and I’ve never had to wait for a table.

This little place has fantastic food in satisfying portions! Sometimes it gets busy and they’re understaffed and you’re left kind of waiting for refills and all… and one point we ordered a sweet and sour chicken and were not given the sauce until 5 minutes later when we asked for it. But if you’re willing to look pass the business, you’ll be in for a treat for great and simple food. **Happy Family also has lobster and crab imitations.

We’re recent transplants & have found our new go-to local Chinese spot! The food was fast & hot, large chunks of white meat chicken in both my Orange Chicken & my partner’s General Tso’s. The hot & sour soup needed a but of Saracha, but I like it with a kick. Friendly, family-owned atmosphere, even down to the young girl who smiled & politely took out credit card. Though the dining area is quaint, you know you’ll get attentive service without having to ask.

I decided to try this place based on the positive Unilocal reviews. From the road it looks like a little hole in the wall joint and it certainly has the feel when you enter. It’s nice inside though and I was immediately greeted and sat by a friendly young man who was my server. He was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and I have to say his positive attitude and demeanor impressed me right away. I ordered the dragon and phoenix. It’s a mixture of general tso’s chicken and hunan shrimp. I had never tried hunan shrimp so I was excited to see how I liked it. The flavor of the food was great. The texture of the shrimp though was rubbery and it tasted over cooked and possibly frozen. I was a let down by that, but I was blown away by the fried chicken pieces. The texture and crunch of the chicken was absolutely perfect. I can see why my server told me that their general tso’s was one of their most popular dishes. It was the perfect flavor and not too spicy. I highly recommend trying one of the dishes with the fried chicken, you will not be disappointed. The price was really reasonable as well if you are on a budget. Well done Qing Qing, I look forward to visiting again soon!

No change in rating, just wanted to add some more 411. We’ve eaten there a few times since the review, each time take out except the last two. We went there with my son and his girlfriend and the«dine in» experience is even better than taking it out!!! My husband couldn’t get over how good is Gen Tso was and said the eggroll was the best he has ever eaten! My son and I both got hot and sour soup(we were there for lunch) and we both agree it is the best hot and sour we’ve ever had. I had shrimps and broccoli and the shrimps tasted fresh not frozen. Everything was delicious and more than all of us could eat, even though that was the lunch size! Oh, and let’s not forget the price… About $ 6 for a generous entrée, fried rice and soup or eggroll(drink not included). Qing Qing I the epitome of «don’t judge a book by its cover». It doesn’t look like much from the outside and inside is quaint with about 12 tables or so, but don’t judge! Have a seat, place an order and see for yourself.

I’m so glad I found this place! Qing Qing is now my go-to for Chinese take out. I love Chinese food(orange chicken addict) but there really aren’t too many options in the Galveston area unless you want buffet. So yea, Qing Qing in Texas City is a great solution and a short drive. The food is great. It’s fresh, it’s real chicken, the flavors are wonderful, and the rice has a nice consistency. So far I’ve only had sesame and orange chicken plus fried rice and egg rolls. Next time I’ll branch out, but the food was still really really good. At first I thought the portions were on the small side, but as I started eating I realized I couldn’t even eat half of one dinner entrée because I was already getting full. Prices are pretty good, and the owners are super super friendly. They’re kind of the sweetest people ever.

Very nice fresh dishes. It’s hard to find a decent vegetarian meal in Texas City but this is a great option. Besides good food, the inside of the restaurant was a bit nicer than expected and the service is friendly and efficient. Considering the competition in Texas City, I have to give Qing Qing four stars.

This great little restaurant is tucked in the strip center where Baypoint church is located… behind the Wendy’s. Dont blink or you will miss it! The place is brand spanking new and quite good! Very clean and very tiny. Have only made to-go orders. The owner is very nice but really could use some extra help. You order at the counter but this becomes a problem when its more than 3 people standing there. You end up butting right up to tables on your right and left. 6 people in a line and it would reach to the door. He really needs to get a waitress and offer to take orders at the table. I noticed he alone takes the orders, rings up customers, refills drinks and brings out food too! My eat in advice would be to sit away from the counter for sure and be paitent. The food is delicious and made to order so be prepared for a slightly longer wait. My food has never had that thick glossy sheen like most Chinese take out does. All the veggies were crisp too, just like I like them. Not overly soggy like they have been sitting in sauce all day. Yuck. I have had the chicken lo mein and the hunan shrimp. Mmmmm, good. Great prices too. Will be ordering from here often!
