I was a bit unclear about what pan fried meant, but it meant the meat was still breaded but not deep fried. It was delicious anyway, and service was great. We had a large party with separate checks– no problem. Large selection of veggies and sides and the ice tea kept coming.

It’s an on the larger side old-fashioned diner. It doesn’t have the biggest menu in the world but it has a lot of things, probably something for everyone. My favorite thing about Dixie Diner is the size of their drinks. When they bring you a coke, it’s a freakin’ HUGE coke. My second favorite thing about DD is the bread that they keep rollin’ out from the beginning to the end of the meal. They give you butter rolls and little cornbread squares. Both are very very good. There’s honey and butter on the tables so make yourself a little honey butter and you’re golden. The meals and specials come with two sides. Their sides are not my favorite but it’s good home cooking. It’s not the best place in the universe, there’s nothing really worth writing home about but it is one of the few places you can get a Salmon Croquet in the Ark-La-Tex, and many people swear by the good olé Dixie Diner.

In town from central Texas and my friend brought us here for breakfast. We weren’t sure what to expect, but it was delicious! We had blueberry pancakes, eggs, pancakes, and hash browns. Cool, laid-back restaurant.

The catfish is excellent. ANGIE the server /cook is great too. My only criticism weeps be the salads are pre-made and not fresh and crispy. The desserts are overtly sweet for my taste but the other patrons seem to enjoy them. I’ll be back for more chicken and dumplings… That’s a must try if you come to this diner.

Waited for an hour before our food showed up, but the management did comp the meal witch was good because the food wasn’t worth going out for. way too greasy and the corn bread had no sugar in it no thought was put into the dish at all, I gave it three stars because I didn’t have to pay
