This place is a joke. I made reservations a month in advance only to arrive and have them say I’m sorry we are over booked and had to make you a reservation elsewhere. Thanks for the head up you frickin idiots. Thank you for letting me know you booked me a dumpy s#*t hole instead of a room comparable to what I had. Again thank you for the opportunity to make my own reservation and for saving me a measly $ 21.00. If I could give you negative stars I would. IDIOTS!!!

Overall good experience but breakfast was subpar! I’m not sure of the solution to the problem. I’ve been here two diffrent occasions and it’s same story new day!

Wonderful stay! Under $ 100. Super clean, comfortable bed and linens. This hotel even smelled nice. No stinky musty smells in the air. Higher end fixtures. Tall shower head with hot water. Staff at front desk(jake) was very helpful. Pancake machine at breakfast was really cool. It made hot fresh delicious pancakes in 2 minutes. I will defiantly stay her on my next travels through tx.

Hotel is really nice but definitely understaffed. Went to the front desk last night and was greeted by «what chu need?» Went to take a shower this morning and realized that I didn’t have any towels. Called front desk and she didn’t have anyone available to send up a towel so I had to get dressed and come down to get one.

Bar closed at 9 every night, bartender said he worked 7 days a week– seems like they’re understaffed and that was very off-putting. Service was otherwise great.

Great place, stopped here from our family road trip to dallas, kind of hard to find, but very clean and the rooms are huge! pool and spa are good, but the hot tub was not working… overall was a good experience… oh yea and they have free breakfast.

Overall it was a nice place to stay. We had a very nice room at a reasonable price. We stayed four nights and the employees at the front desk were more than friendly. The only issue I have with this hotel is that the restaurant lacks for service and the food is so-so. At breakfast they refused to serve off the menu and forced us into the buffet. The food was a bit overcooked and the wait staff was a bit standoffish on the matter. Thankfully the front desk was more than happy to address the situation and refunded us the cost of breakfast. Overall I would say it’s a nice place to stay, I would go again and recommend it if you’re in the area. I believe they’ll really be good when they get settled and get the kinks worked out.

This place is probably one of the best places I’ve stayed. First of all, it was only 100ish dollars for one night(including tax), which is as cheap as hotels go without it starting to become shady… i’d rather pay more to stay in a decent room than share an econolodge unit next to a potential runaway murderer. I don’t know why anyone would ever stay at a regular holiday inn over a holiday inn express, especially the one at Texarkana East. Getting a room at 11PM took maybe 5 minutes maximum, and we were given a large, clean, modern room with a relatively large bathroom. They offer dry cleaning services here, along with continental breakfast which they don’t even offer at regular holiday inns that have rooms about 80 dollars more expensive…(ahem Austin, Townlake). They have free wifi too. Check out took 10 seconds! Back to the continental breakfast. Pancake machine. Yes. Cereal? Yes. Cold Milk/Juice? Yes. Bagel? yes. Good fresh eggs? No(this is blasphemy in the breakfast lovers’ book). However, they made up for it with the melt-in-your-mouth southern style biscuits(I’m from NYC where this is apparently rare) and spicy turkey sausage. They even have gravy(which I didn’t try, but much southern. very comfort. wow.) It’s also very conveniently located – it’s right off the highway, but not too close where you hear traffic. Had a great night’s sleep here, even with the boyfriend snoring. heh. tl;dr stay here if you can. You won’t regret it. Super cheap. MORNINGBISCUITS! :)
