I enjoyed this little gem. Small restaurant in a plaza which I almost passed. The owner shook people’s hands and said thank you for your business. I had a small chicken parm. The portion size was good, and quality high. Homemade sauce, thin chicken(not pounded too thin where chicken becomes hard), and good bread. If you want a chicken parm, i would recommend them. I will def. try them again when in the area.

This restaurant is amazing. It actually feels like your family. Great food, good prices, and they are super nice to kids. The owner puts his heart and soul into this place and so does his staff. I have yet to have anything that isn’t amazing, and if you like desert, they have some amazing items.(Cheese cake cone) Seriously go try it, you will not be disappointed.

We finally decided to try café sicilia this weekend. Ordered 2 pasta alfredos & buffalo chicken wrap. Huge portions! And very tasty too. We will definitely be back.

Like a little slice of the North End on Main Street. Great desserts, great prices, cozy atmosphere inside and nice seating area outdoors.

I just finished my large chicken parmesan sub. Disappointed, why? I asked for extra sauce didn’t happen in fact the sauce they did give me was less than I usually see on chicken Parmesan subs. That being said OMG the sauce«that I could find» was amazing rich and flavorful. The chicken tastefully moist. Sub roll soft and delicious. Overall sandwich size ample. I will definitely go back, only this time I’ll beg for extra sauce. Three stars instead of five not listening to the customer I’m sure it will be five next time.

The meatballs and chicken Parmesan sandwich were ultra delicious! The sausage is truly awesome too. Request getting the meatballs and sausage in the same sandwich together!

The best cappuccino and cannoli I’ve had in a long time. I grew up 5 miles from the North End and gave been living in a Tewksbury for 9 years. So glad this place is here! Joe, the owner, is super friendly and always around. The food is good, the ice cream is good, the atmosphere is wonderful.

Did I go to the same Café Sicilia as all the other Unilocalers?! I had a much, much, much different experience here. Came in on a Saturday afternoon with such high hopes, as I have been wanting to try this place for a while and was greeted by a young friendly girl, while I am assuming the one of the owners sat a table discussing work related matters loudly. No «Hi,» no «How are you,» nothing, I mean I feel like as a owner, greeting your customers is sort of paramount. I don’t expect confetti and balloons or anything, but a simple«Hello» woulda been nice. Anyways, I ordered a meatball sub and a chicken parm sub. As I was waiting for my order I heard a microwave door open, then shut… I knew right then and there this was not the«authentic italian» food I was expecting. On my way out I grabbed a lemon gelato, which my five year old loved. Got home and the meatballs were cold, and tasted frozen not homemade and the sauce was sooo watery. The chicken in the chicken parm sub was cold as well and frozen dah dah dun, and rubbery. My husband(who will eat almost anything) took two bites and threw it in the trash… it was that bad. The meatball sub didn’t last too much longer either. I was and still am sooooo disappointed in this place. I read an article on how hard it was for the owner to get the place open and I expected so much more. I don’t think I will try this place again anytime soon. I really wish I had the same experience here as all the other reviewers and had the same quality food as they did.

Can’t say enough about the place. In town on business and wanted a nice lunch. Found this place on Unilocal and am I glad we went! The staff are extremely outgoing and the locals can’t be nice enough. I only wish we had a proper Italian sandwich place in the suburbs of DC. The food is fantastic. I have been twice so far and on the first day had a Caprese salad(not on the menu) and a Proscuitto and mozzarella sandwich on a roll of the freshest bread I have had in quite some time. The second lunch I had was a bowl of fantastic Wedding Soup and a Veal Paragiano sandwich on bread that seems as though it is made on the premises. The owner came out and talked to us and asked how everything was… fantastic place and if I am ever back in the area will definitely frequent again. Thanks.

This place is awesome. If you want authentic, from scratch Italian food, with top quality ingredients from the north end or Italy, huge portions, reasonable prices then this is the place for you. Try anything on the menu and you will be happy. Pasta dinners feed 1 – 2 depending on appetites. Pasta dinner for under $ 10!!! Go here soon, great owners too!

Authentic Italian food and deserts. It does not get better than this unless you were in the north end. get the Pasta dish and have it served to you in a giant bowl with a meatball. Just like Grandma house.

I love Café Sicilia! Great authentic Italian food in a relaxed environment. I love their deserts, too. I stopped by on a whim and am now a regular fan. They have hot and cold sandwhiches with fresh, homemade ingredients. I am an eggplant and meatball«snob», but theirs live up to the best expectations possible. Gelato, people, gelato! Excellent prices, excellent service, excellent quality. Check it out!

How can you NOT write a review about a place with a sign in front that says«Tripe Saturday» ??? Café Sicilia is small in size but big in charm. When you walk in, you have to turn left almost immediately to avoid the large cooler containing 8 traditional flavors of gelato. At $ 2.50/$ 3.50/$ 4.50 for ½/3 scoops, this is a good deal. They probably have to rely on a lot of take-out business because table space is limited — 3 small round tables which seat 4 each. Several customers were seated at one table drinking coffee beverages out of large mugs. I opted for a traditional Italian cold sub, to see how close it would come to the subs I used to get at the Italian sub place in my old high school town. All cold subs are $ 6.95 and huge. Each half of mine was at least 8″, with the cold cuts sticking out. It was pretty close to what I remember — same type of dressing, thinly sliced tomatoes and onions, and pickles. The only difference was that instead of the pile of shredded iceberg lettuce, this was larger pieces of cut iceberg lettuce. Large hot subs are either $ 6.95 or $ 7.50. They also offer wraps, salads, seasonal pan pizzas, calzone, and soup, and of course a plate of tripe for $ 9.50 on Saturday. Besides gelato, desserts in the cooler included mascarpone mousse cake, almond cake, tiramisu and cannolis. A sign on their door indicates that for their summer hours, they will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Finally, we don’t need to drive to the North End in Boston and spend hours looking for a parking spot to get a delicious authentic Italian /Sicilian sub. My mom got an Italian sub at Café Sicilia earlier today and when I stopped by her house she asked me if I had tried their subs. I said«no, only their salads and they were really good, nice and fresh». She said«you should try their subs, they’re really good too». I was hungry so I called my husband and asked him if he wanted to have a lunch date at Café Sicilia, lucky me he said«yes»! :-) He got the Italian sub and I got the chicken parm. They are HUGE, and so inexpensive(cheap date — LOL), not to mention super YUMMY! The parking is in the back and if you miss the right turn down the side street before the restaurant, if you are going down Rt. 38 towards Lowell, you’ll have to turn around and go back. The café is small and quaint with three bistro tables and the staff is friendly. They were sharing Italy and Sicily experiences with a local patron. That’s why the food is so authentic! The last time I was here I got an Antipasto salad, there was so much stuff in it and everything was fresh, no yucky bagged stuff here. I also had a Cappuccino which was good too, would’v have been better if I got a pastry to go with it. My husband got a chocolate chip gelato to go today and I tried a bite, it was the real thing. I know because I grew up in Little Italy.
