I’m fairly picky when it comes to Jack in the Box restaurants — I worked at a JITB in the 1980s when I was in high school, so I know how things run there — and while it’s been 25 years since I worked at a JITB, their operations have not varied much. This is a good location. The staff listens to you and gets your order right and the food looks good and is fresh when you get it. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I’ve been a number of times through the drive-thru here, but I have not been in their dining area. For fast food, the egg rolls are pretty decent and I’m a big fan of the Sour Dough Jack. I don’t like sauce on it — and when I came through the drive-thru last night, I ordered one without the sauce and asked for it to be well done. They did such a great job on it. The bacon was crispy and not burnt. I really like the toasted rye bread. It’s a little pricey for fast food — but it’s because it’s better quality than average fast food. This location is open 24 hours… a rarity in a small town, but a smart idea right next to highway 34.
