Pros: Good selection for breakfast, VERY clean, comfortable beds, lots of towels and pillows. Newer contemporary décor, lots of electrical outlets. Located near many restaurants & shopping. Cons: Minor-Tub drained very slowly, toilet seat was loose. Major-See below! I went out for some shopping and when I returned my door was open. At first, I thought the maid was there and I started down to the lobby to give her time to clean. As I headed to the elevator, I noticed that ALL of the doors were open and no employee was in sight. I went back to my room and no one was in the room. I went in and left the door as I found it. I sat for a full ten minutes(timed) before the housekeeper came in. I attempted to explain to her that anyone could have entered my room and stolen my belongings or any other person’s room that was left open. All I got from her was«no English». I immediately went to the manager, who was very polite and apologized for what happened. He said the employee was new and didn’t speak English and that he would explain to her what she did wrong to make sure it didn’t happen again. He also gave me one day off my stay, which was for five nights. This happened on the fourth day so I didn’t move. Otherwise, I would have changed hotels. I have to wonder if my door was left open on the previous days. As a woman traveling alone, I felt that this was a serious breach of security. Why would a company hire someone who doesn’t understand English enough to understand the directions for doing their jobs? In my book, a person isn’t qualified for a job if they cannot communicate with the clients. I will not stay there again, there are many choices in the area.

My stay at this hotel was a traveler’s worst nightmare. BEWARE!!! You are treated differently because of the rate you pay. I say that because the Gen. manager looked at the computer and said«oh it’s a friends and family rate.» Don’t bother calling this place because they’re fax and phone are on the same line and it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach the front desk. I arrived at the hotel and was given the option of a room next to the elevator, or the ADA room on the first floor. The walls are extremely thin, it’s so bad that the next door’s wake-up call at 6:00am, woke me up! Then if I’m not wrong, he proceed on clipping his nails. This was a big deal because I drove 12 hrs before checking into the hotel and have 10 more to go the next day. I expected a good night sleep from a reputable hotel. Instead, I was woken up 4 hours before my desired time. I brought up the concerns to the manager(thin walls and telephone line) and she basically told me there is nothing she could do and proceed on asking me what I want her to do. She never apologize until the end of our conversation and I was about to head out. Extremely rude, UNPROFESSIONAL, I am still dumbfounded at how she got the GM position. She not only ruin the reputation of her hotel at Terra Haute, also Marriott. I say Marriott because customer service was involved, and they didn’t address any of the issues I brought up to them. Never again. Go with Hilton

$ 30 cheaper than the spring hill suites and just as nice. Both are Marriott properties. Elevator was broken when we arrived so they put us on first floor non accessible room(I am a wheelchair user) next to the ice machine. So I made the room work for me but there was nothing we could do about the ice machine. We went to bed at one am and noticed the ice machine running at four am until we checked out. I went to speak with the lady at the front desk but she was too busy on her cell phone(waited ten minutes) to help. When I got to the room and called up there, no one answered. So my final thought is sometimes it’s worth paying more and staying at the Springhill Suites. Also breakfast was just so-so.

This is a nice business class hotel to stay in while visiting Terre Haute. They are centrally located. The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are clean, updated furnishings and beddings. Free wireless internet is a plus, as well as a breakfast bar. I also love the indoor pool and whirl pool. The only negative is that they don’t have a gym on location, but give you a pass to a health club.

Very pleased. Staff was super friendly and rooms where very clean. Beds where also very compfortable. They have an indoor pool and hot tub that I enjoyed. Their selection of breakfast items was good(to include home made waffles) and free. I did not leave hungry. I would definately stay there again.
