This Applebees is not so good. If you do find yourself here I recommend ordering something that they just reheat and serve as opposed to something that goes on the grill. My friends and I visited a couple months ago for a late dinner. We sat at a table in the bar area. The service was terrible. Our server seemed to disappear for large chunks of time and would forget to bring refills and a new beer order, even after being reminded multiple times. He seemed to be overworked which was odd since he wasn’t on the floor much and there were other employees standing around not doing much. The food was just as bad as, if not worse than, the service. The«blazin’ texan» burger was a travesty. When this thing finally came out it consisted of an overcooked burger, shredded bbq beef, huge chunks of raw jalapenos, and small chunks of burnt black grill nasties that I couldn’t identify but tasted terrible. It was missing the cheese and onions that were supposed to be on it. My guess is they added the cheese and toppings to the burger on the grill and then forgot about it and it burnt, but instead of making a new one they scraped off some of the burnt toppings, added a bunch of jalapenos, and thought maybe I wouldn’t notice. Not funny guys. The appetizers weren’t terrible but definitely not good. The chips served with the spinach and artichoke dip were over-salted. The dips served with the sweet potato fries were disgusting, but I don’t hold that against this specific restaurant because I’m thinking that is how Applebees corporate wants them to taste. The person who ordered the fish and chips said it was pretty good. Maybe they should promote the guy on the deep fryer to the grill. Bottom line: Just go somewhere else.

Went here with a small party. Was told 20 min wait. Ended up being 30 min. Get to the table and took 10 min for drinks. Then got the food. Food was cold. One refill 20 min later. Spent 2 hours in here with only one small meal that wasn’t even good. This place sucks. Ultra sucks. Don’t come here when it’s busy. Another table nearby us got served over and over while my group kept waiting. Only when I talked to a manager did things get moving. Never ever again will I come here. For though looking for somewhere to eat try a different Applebee’s. If not. Try Texas Roadhouse down the road.

Your typical family/chain bar-and-grill restaurant. I come here pretty frequently for three reasons: location, booze, wings. First, location. This Applebee’s is just close enough to the mall and the highway to stay decently busy but far enough away that it’s not getting all the action. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait when visiting this Applebee’s, and I’ve been here at all different times on all different days of the week. Recently I’ve been sitting in the bar area more – the bartenders are always very friendly but they provide just enough«service.» They don’t check up on you hundred times, which I like because I like to be left alone when I eat. I even sat at the bar this weekend and didn’t feel like the bartender was paying too much attention to me. They are always busy enough that the servers won’t be constantly at your table, but never so busy that I’ve gotten shit service. Two, booze. Sometimes I come here and I just drink iced tea(thank you, Applebee’s, for making good iced tea). Most of the time, though, I am after that $ 5 Mega Margarita. I also love that they always offer sugar on the rim of my strawberry-flavored ones. Three, wings. I could eaten chicken wings every day, I think. The bone-in wings here are always flavorful and pretty juicy. Most importantly, there is a lot of meat on them. Some places, it seems like there is very little meat for your money on the wings. That’s not so here. I think I basically always get the spicy Asian chile sauce. It has a nice amount of heat and a great taste. In short: it’s dependable food that I can get for a decent price when I don’t feel like cooking or I need a late afternoon lunch. The servers are the right amount of attentive and always very friendly!

Grilled won ton tacos Jim wanted these. I wasn’t sure. Wow! Delicious! Like the crunch. The sauce topped it off. Will definitely order again. 2 orders of this would be a great meal

0 Stars. My family and I were discriminated against by the wait staff at this location. Do not recommend whatsoever. Even the manager was rude and did not care that they were permanently losing our business.

When I’m in Terre Haute, I eat at this Applebee’s at least once. Every time I have gone there, it’s been consistently good. The people there are always helpful and friendly even though the wait staff is never the same people from the previous time I was there; they are usually all college students who work there. Because it’s a chain restaurant, it’s going to have the same food that all the other locations have so that’s something of an advantage.

Everyone was nice but food was horrible. Steak tasted like it was a day old. Waiter forgot my salad and didn’t check on us until he brought our main meal. My husband burger was dry and liked old, and they forgot ALL of his toppings.

All roads lead to Applebee’s, or so I have heard. After a bad experience at another place in town, we went with the tried and true chain. That was a good decision. We had very good service from Jessika, who insisted we check the doneness of our steaks. We sent them back for a refire after finding them a little too rare and they came back medium rare as ordered, just right. The rest of the food was just as you’d find at any other Applebee’s, which is what we wanted. The atmosphere was a lot sleepier than other Applebee’s we’ve been in, and there were a few less televisions than in our hometown location, but that was just fine with us. Three stars for the food and ambience, four stars for the service.

I have a serious love affair with Applebees cheeseburger sliders. For whatever reason, they are my FAVORITE burger in town. Yum. That aside, this is a solid Applebees location. You know what you’re getting. The service at this one is always great and our food is always blazing hot out of the kitchen. The three cheese chicken penne is pretty awesome, too.

How does one review an Applebee’s? Bartender was friendly and the beer was cold but the food was no good, but were our expectations really that high to begin with? I had the Applebee’s Reuben which tasted far too artificial, even for corned beef. It was overseasoned, like they couldn’t decide to make it extra salty or extra sweet so they opted for both.
