Stopped here on the way up to Seattle, right off the freeway and wasn’t closed like the other stops. And they had reception unlike some of the others on the way.

Tenino, WA: Another pretty rest stop! Not much more to add that other Unilocalers haven’t already said. *Clean building facilities with automated hands free toilets and sink spigots. *Grassy pet area *Volunteer operated coffee & cookies station SNAPSHOTTHOUGHT Parking lot asphalt could use a good rinsing off as it appeared most of the auto parking spaces had spills and stains on them.

Clean. I think that’s the most important thing. Well lit. Also very important. As far as rest areas go… this one is pretty good. They didn’t have any free coffee when I was there, but it was there when I needed it. I appreciate that they have the signs in multiple languages offering help to those in trafficking situations. Sad that those are necessary, but good they have them. They also had some informational booklets about the area.

Fine rest area to stop at on your drive down the I-5. There’s a little booth run by a non-profit that offers free coffee to travelers, and the women’s bathroom was well stocked and only minimally in need of cleaning.

You know what’s amazing? Washing up with running water after a weekend of camping. This place would have to be a festering hellmouth for me to give it anything other than five stars. Good job, whoever makes rest stops happen!

Lots of Room to Rest… Use the Facilites, Let the Dog use the Facilities, Coke Machines and grab some Coffee & cookies if the Volunteers are in(Neat Program). I like this one becuase they also have a little History lesson posted on Thurston County History so you can try and imagine what it was like during a ealier by-gone era.

What can you say about a rest area except to say that this particular stopping point on the I-5SB freeway, is always clean and well maintained. They have a great grass spot across the parking lot where you can take your furry friends to walk and do their duties… just pick it up when they are done, will you please!!! They have some vending machines so you can get a refreshment for the troops, plus they have plenty of picnic tables so you can sit and enjoy your rest!!!

It’s on the side of I-5. It has relatively clean restrooms, low graffiti and clean tables to have a snack at. It’s a rest stop so I don’t expect much more. No free coffee when I was there too. :(
