We used a Groupon for a two night stay. When I checked in about 4pm, I asked about TV and was told that this was a country inn and no TV was available. The door to the next room was open and it had plush carpeting, cable TV, and a modern bathroom. However, our room had cable hook up but no TV. The room’s carpeting was indoor/outdoor, the bath curtain was stained on the bottom, toilet seat cover was also stained. Upon arrival the owner advised us that no dinner reservations would be required that evening. We were the first to enter at 5:30. I asked to be seated by the windows, as it was very hot, and we were told they were reserved. Throughout the dinner we observed other diners arriving and yet as we neared completion of our meal there remained open tables along one side of the restaurant looking out upon the ocean. The service was poor as was the quality of the seafood dishes; baked haddock was poorly seasoned and the spinach was very salty. Even though breakfast was included… I experienced a very similar pattern as the previous night-inferior service and hospitality. 30 minute wait on 2 orders of bacon and eggs left us with a very bad taste. No pun intended. My recommendation is stay away from this place! The free WIFI was iffy at best, I had to descend to the first floor each time I tried accessing . This place reminded me of the British TV series FAULTYTOWERS, but without the humor!
