My experience with Dr Wetzel was far from positive… in fact it was completely the opposite! It all began last May; when I went in for what was supposed to be routine procedure that ended up being much more than routine. During the process of having the colonoscopy performed, Dr Wetzel & his nurse applied so much pressure on my abdomen; that they unknowingly damaged my internal organ(spleen). At the time I was told it was a normal colonoscopy and was sent on my way. After spending an entire night in excruciating pain, I called the colonoscopy center, was given the total run around by the center & Dr Wetzels office. I decided at this point to go to the ER; tests showed I had a large splenic hematoma; after many hours in the ER, they admitted me for further observation. During this time I became increasingly distended, nauseated and hypotensive. Due to the massive blood loss, I received several blood transfusions, when taken into the operating room, they discovered that my spleen was non-repairable so my surgeon had no other choice but to remove my spleen. The recovery process was painful, long and tedious… and now I have a compromised immune system and am forever scarred the rest of my life! My routine procedure performed by Dr Wetzel was anything but positive for me.

Paul is the man to see for endoscopy needs. He is like an old friend, who is right there to help you and perform the necessary procedures and give the straight data and interpret things so a regular guy can understand. Add this together with his staff and you have a top notch group that knows how to take care of business and with a bed side manner that just feels good! Thanks Paul.
