Team Venture and I found Griff’s while searching for pizza while leaving SLO. It was excellent and kids loved it. Will definitely eat here next time we are passing through.

First of all, the pizza and salad lunch special is very good. Unfortunately what I witnessed last week at Griffs really turned my stomach. I was reading a framed history of the rest. on the wall and I could see a young kid making salads. He picked up a bunch of lettuce leaves with his bare fingers, put the lettuce in a bowl and then dipped his fingers into some containers with different ingredients in them like olives etc. Bare fingers. I had already eaten so I was grossed out. Then he walked to the pizza oven, put on a oven bit and removed a small pizza and a hot sub type sandwich. He cut the pizza and sandwich and then proceeded to poke his finger into the top of the hot sandwich. Apparently to see if it was hot enough. I think he just wiped his hands on his clothes also. Watching this young kid prepare this food put me right off my lunch. It was so gross and disgusting. Can’t go back. Not willing to take a chance.

Delicious and one of our favorite places! The food is on point and the staff is friendly. The place is clean and casual. Minus one star only because it’s a little $$$. We spend probably $ 10-$ 15 more here for our family of 4 than any other of our fave local joints.

You want a great pizza? then Templeton has the spot for you. Griff’s has fabulous pizza with a wonderful crust. The crust is thin and cracker like. The sausage is not too spicy and oh so delicious. All the ingredients are fresh. Also, try the warm spinach salad. I switched out the Bleu cheese for feta. It was fabulous. Topped it off with a glass of the local wine: Opolo Zin. Couldn’t ask for much better than this.

My husband and I came here a few days ago. And we really enjoyed our visit. I don’t normally write reviews but, I was very impressed with the service and the quality of food. It’s a low key place and the girls behind the counter are so nice and welcoming. Salads were extremely fresh and the ranch was delicious. Can’t wait to till our friends and family about this place!

It’s a cute little place! Pizza is good. We usually try different specials. Garlic bread is a must! Best thing is to bring in a board game while you eat your pizza!

The employees«girls» are not trained and extremely rude. Customer service is terrible, though the food is ok. Everything is over salted.

First time, went for a family dinner and got 2 pieces of deli paper in my sandwich. They gave me a certificate to come back for a free entrée. Gave it another try on date night. My salmon was OK, but drowning in butter. Husbands salad looked like it came from a bag. Girls were friendly, but food wasn’t worth it. Want to support the local community, and they were busy which is good, but I’d rather go somewhere I enjoy the food.

We stopped in while traveling in the area and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was — a definite go-to place for us when in the area! We were talking about the pizza for days after we had already finished our cold leftovers! Don’t let the reviews fool you — try them for yourself :)

We ordered two pizzas here a few weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised by how good they were. Someone once said, even a bad pizza is still pretty good pizza, or something like that. Not true, in my experience. I was with some family members who were a bit non committal when someone suggested this place, so my expectations were middle of the road. We ordered the Margherita and a small sized pepperoni for my son. I may have stolen a pc or two of my sons pizza, and it was all a pepperoni pizza should be-CRISPY ONTHEEDGES pepperoni-am I right?! Also, thin sliced pepperoni, not the kind that you have to chew on for awhile. I dabbed the excess oil that had pooled in the peps, and had my way with it. The Margherita was excellent too. But after the pepperoni, it kind of paled in comparison. Perhaps an addition of some fresh shaved sharp Romano on the top, would have given it a touch more depth of flavor. Still, better than any pizza joints around my hometown :(DAMNIT. I’d definitely order take out again. And I’d get an extra large pepperoni. And maybe share. Maybe.

Best little hidden gem. Food was fresh, staff was friendly including the owner, also food came out relatively fast too. So happy we stopped in. :D

Driving through the area for work– heard the cute radio ad about how good the salads are so I decided to give it a try. Called ahead and after 20+ minutes my salad was still not ready. I would expect this from a pizza but not a salad. Despite waiting 30 minutes and being only 1 of only 2 other customers in the place the salad was good; fresh but not much meat. The service while I was there unfortunately was not good. Attitude as I asked for water and throwing things around in the back. All together seemed like it could have been an off day for the place. I pass through Templeton a lot for work so I’m sad to say I probably won’t be stopping here again. I wish I would have just gone to the Market across the street :(

After eating here on THREE separate occasions, I can honestly say THISPLACEISNOTWORTHYOURMONEY. My husband and I have now each tried 3 different entrees each(totaling 6 different chances) and neither of us have ever been pleased with our meal. EACH time, the food is bland… I’m talking absolutely NO flavor. This has been the case with calzones, eggplant parmesan, sausage sandwich, pesto pasta, etc. etc. etc. The garlic bread is good, but not worth it when the rest of your meal is so awful. Prego makes a better marinara sauce than what is served here! Where was the eggplant in my eggplant parmesan? Pretty convinced it was just breading, bland marinara, and odd ricotta. Prices are not cheap. You order at the counter, then go sit & wait for your drinks/food to be brought to you. The girls behind the counter look maybe 17 and have never been exceptionally friendly. If you order a drink be prepared to go back up to the counter and wait in the ordering line for a refill. It is always too cold to sit inside as they have the air conditioning blaring full blast.(I actually overheard another customer remark about that tonight as well). For the price you are paying here(tonight’s eggplant parmesan was $ 15), I don’t think I should have to wait in line for a refill, or for that matter even have to leave my seat. Everything about this place is just wrong and bad and in serious need of correction. I can only hope that this review saves at least a handful of people from wasting their hard earned cash here and to take it somewhere else STAT. We both decided tonight, three strikes and this place is OUT.

Margarita pizza was ok. Nothing awful, nothing special. Ambiance left something to be desired. We came from the Midwest and the restaurant reminded us of a lot of places back home, which wasn’t what we expected out of the west coast. No table service, which wasn’t a big deal, but if you want a server, this is not the place for you. They have Pellegrino, so that made us happy. Extra star because the very loud woman next to us was really into her ranch dressing, raving about how it was the best ranch she’d ever had. Not a fan of ranch myself, but if you are, evidently it’s BOMB here.(Although that same woman made some cray cray comments about saints being sinners who work harder, so maybe a grain of salt on this ranch thing?)

Yummmmm! Their pizza was super tasty and the cowboy Cobb salad?! Omg so glad I don’t work downtown or I’d be eating that salad every… single… day! Decent beer and wine selection, always local so that’s cool… Staff is very nice and keep the place clean! Definitely our new pizza place!

On my way to big sur I called right before closing and got the Tuscany pizza. They were about to close so the girl asked if she could leave the pizza on the porch… I couldn’t believe it with out paying low & behold my bomb pie was waiting for me on the porch. We left for big sur late but stopped by today and paid for our pizza! Love small towns but more I love this Pizza! Thanks to the Griffs family for feeding a weary traveler

«The Flower Child” — Pesto pizza with interesting blend of pesto, toasted cashews, red peppers, was divine. Even good next day.(10 out of 10) The margherita pizza was good but not great.(7 out of 10) Warm spinach salad was very good.(9 out of 10) Would highly recommend to a friend.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Very pleased with this establishment. Fresh ingredients, bold and crisp flavors and great staff. Wine and beer options are varied and a great variety. Will sample beers to so that is a plus. Heavy or light entrees are available and the pizzas are legit. My only regret is I only got to eat here once on my travels. They also give a military discount.
