Last season when I was in here, the blizzards were way too soft. They’re supposed to be able to flip it upside down and have it not fall out of the cup. I didn’t think of trying it, but I’m sure it would have fell out of the cup if I did that. Not enjoyable when they’re super soft and not okay considering the small is like $ 4. I don’t know if they’re unaware that their machines aren’t keeping the blizzards at the correct temperature or if they’ve raised the temperature in some sort of effort to keep costs down. There’s no indoor seating at this location and they don’t serve food either. The staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing and the service was quite slow. Unfortunately the closest DQ to this one is in Kenhorst. In summary, this location is a huge disappointment. A colossal fail like this must be from poor management.

A great place for ice cream with all the typical DQ treats. However, they dont take credit cards, so i only go here when i have cash on hand, which is rarely. Shell’s(less than a mile down the road to the south) serves much of the same hard/soft ice cream/cakes, also serves plenty of food next door, 18 hole mini-golf in the back AND takes credit cards. We end up going here 95% of the time for all of those reasons.

Ah, Dairy Queen. I spent most of my summer nights from 1995 – 1997 cruising up and down 5th street, using DQ as my turnaround point. I found it funny that they installed speed bumps in the parking lot shortly after I went to college to discourage such behavior. DQ has very high standards for their employees. High standards meaning, you must be female, very attractive, and under the age of 20. Awesome. Edit: The owner just died recently. Hopefully the new owner carries on the proud tradition.
