I’ve heard great things about Crow’s, so I decided to give them a try. It is an interesting place. They only do take-out, so don’t plan on eating at the establishment. The staff was very friendly, especially to someone who is new. They made recommendations and got the food out to me quickly. Double Cheeseburger: Outstanding! This is the cornerstone and rightly so. The meat was seasoned to perfection. The vegetables were fresh. Everything was perfect. Onion Rings: Not bad. I ordered them as an afterthought, and I’m glad I did. Great taste and excellent flavor. I’ll definitely get them again. Fries: The seasoned fries were recommended to me, and I wanted to give them a try. Meh. They were hot and fresh, but I just didn’t dig the taste. Others may disagree, but I don’t think I’ll get them on a return trip.

This is truly the best burger I have had in years. They season there meat and cook the meat to perfection. When I come to town, I will be coming back here again. They only serve to– go.

Good burger but… if you call in your order, be prepared to be put on hold where they lay the phone down and you can hear everything while they forget about you. Happened to me numerous times now.

Crow’s has the best burgers I have ever had. They are juicy and crispy around the edges. This is by far the best way to cook hamburger patties. I wish they were open longer though. Great outdoor seating.

Burger was good, didn’t blow me away though. Decent fries and onion rings. But, didn’t give us any napkins — for a take out only place I kind of expected some napkins…

So the burgers here are actually very good because they keep the burgers very simple. I’m not a fan of burgers where they overstack it with all sorts of crap where you can’t even taste the beef patty. In my opinion, the cheese burger with everything on it tastes real similar to Whataburger, which I absolutely love. I usually have that once a week! The fries here are good as well. The only downside to this place is that it is a little more pricey than other local burger joints in Temple and Belton like Black Megs and Rylander’s. There is no sit in place to eat, only carry out. The one in Temple is the main one but there is another one in Belton on Waco Drive that I like to go to.

The burgers are great, but the recent price increase is not. I got a burger combo and it was $ 11? For that I could go to a «Real» restaurant that actually has seating. They claim the increase was to cover increased costs– for what? Additionally, when I looked at my ticket it said I had received a «large» fry. The small fry at Burger King is bigger than what I received. And while the brownies are good, at $ 2 apiece they should be able to cover those«extra expenses.» Next time I’ll just go to Bill’s Grill and then stop at Brookie’s Goodies for dessert– even adding in the gas, it’s cheaper. And in the case of the brownies, Brookie’s wins, hands down.

Delicious burger, tastes like home cooking! Fries are a little bland, but can’t beat the price!

This place is delicious! I always get myself a double cheeseburger with bacon. Seasoned fries with season salt. I heard the onion rings are better though. And the service is friendly.

Great burger and Fries with a large drink for only seven dollars and change! Definitely will come back! First time here and can agree with the other reviewers that this little shop is worth it! Only downside is carry out only.

One of the best burgers Ive ever had. When I lived in California, I asked my mom to bring me an order when she was coming to visit. This burger place makes a very fresh burger from premium meat. I was told once that the meat comes directly from the Belton stockyard? They used to make a battered fry that was amazing too! If your in Temple, TX you have to eat here or miss out !

Not a bad burger, but not much else to offer. The original Crow’s in Belton is better if you can catch them open, which is a bit of a crapshoot. Neither have fresh fries, just frozen. And neither have onion rings, which is sad. Very limited menu, and it ain’t that cheap any more. Seems their reputation has exeeded reality these days. But it’s still one of the better burgers in town… not that it’s saying much.

Probably the best hamburger I have ever had. Whether it be here or the Belton location, the burgers are always great. It’s take out only but who cares?! I compare every burger I eat to this place and few live up to what this place does.

Well, I went to Jody’s, and thought they were the shiznit. Then I tried Crow’s, and well, they’re the shiznit too. I was delighted with the burgers + onion rings here, although you’ll pay a little more at Crow’s. Their burgers are about $ 0.80 more, and there are several upcharges for extras on your burger. Their onion rings are well seasoned here, $ 2 for a large, but you don’t get nearly as much here as you would at Jody’s. Fries here are a thicker cut, and lesser quantity too. So if you’re on a budget or looking for quantity, then you’ll be happy with Jody’s. If you’re looking for slightly better quality, more seasoning on the onion rings and burgers, and don’t mind the lesser portions for more pay, then I’d say Crow’s is your place. So IMHO: Crow’s = 4.5 stars; Jody’s = 4.25 stars.
