I’m the type of person who is scared to try a new hair salon. For the longest time I never had one hair salon I go to. I’m always bouncing around from different salon. I came here for the first time today and Jon is amazing! It is so nice and very easy to talk to. If you have an idea on the hair style you want. All you have to do is describe it to him. Tell him what you think looks good with your face structure and especially talk about the things that don’t work for you. He would be happy to help you achieve the style you want if you communicate with him. I will definitely be coming back to his salon!

So I’ve been looking for a new stylist and a new look, and Unilocal guided me to Jon Studio Hair Design. Jon is a great hair stylist, funny, friendly and welcoming. I called to make a same day appointment (terrible, I know), but Jon was kind enough squeeze in a spot for me. Upon arrival, Jon and his assistant got me seated and ready to go within seconds. To be perfectly honest, I will admit that I wasn’t too happy with the new look. But in his defense, I was not very clear with my request…“something a little more 2016″ doesn’t provide much for him to work with, so I won’t dock any stars for that.
Overall my experience was pretty great here, would come back again. Highly recommended, but a lesson to be learned is to always bring a picture of what you want. Sign reads stylist, not a psychic, lol.

Oh my goodness! I cannot believe I forgot to leave a review even after two times. So I am going back to Jons studio tomorrow and there is a good reason why I keep coming back. The atmosphere and the quality of work is amazing. My hair cuts have always been well done with care. Awesome staff and products!

I scheduled my appointment very last minute– literally 20 minutes before, and he still took me. I have dark Asian hair that had about an inch and a half of bleached orange color near my roots and my roots were just the tiniest grown out and very black. Honestly my hair near my scalp was just so uneven (after trying to bleach it myself). The rest of my hair was an ashy blonde color that was really damaged. When I walked in, Jon immediately greeted me with a big happy smile. I asked him for what he thought was best for my hair especially since I was on a students budget and also wanted to maintain a hair color that was cheaper on my wallet. He gave me some olaplex treatment for free and recommended that I go a darker gray color. It took 4 hours of work but Jon stayed upbeat through it all. My scalp was burning from the bleach touch up and he even called his assistant to help fan air towards my scalp so it would hurt less. Just watching Jon work with hair is such a pleasure… He is seriously so talented with his hands; from the hair wash to the color application, it was all perfectly done!
In total my hair cost around $ 200 including tip.
Jon is such an amazing hairstylist; I have never met someone as exuberant and great at their job than him!

I live 44 miles away. Jon and his lovely assistant, Sophie were very patient and professional with me. I have lots lots lots of hair and I wanted to dye it purple! Since I live far away and only available after 6pm, it took them total 3 days to make my hair purple! I love my dreamy purple hair color! Thanks for being so patient and professional

I was referred to Jon by my friend. First, I came here for a haircut and it was an awesome experience since Jon is really nice, professional and patient. And plus the salon is clean and makes u feel comfortable. I have tried a few different hair stylists before, usually what happened is the hair looks good at first couple days, and then the shape and style just gone. But when I got haircut by Jon, the hair style last so long! Definitely worth the price! And today I got hair cut from my 20 yrs long hair style to long bob hair style, I really like it! And hair color fits my style as well! I always used Japanese bubble hair dye for my hair before, but after couple times using it, my hair becomes very dry and frizzy, Jon did hair treatment for me to take care of my hair condition. Now I just go to Jon for color! yes! highly recommended Hair Stylist around the area!

I have been a client of Jon for almost 1year. He is very talented and friendly. He listened to me and totally understood what I was looking for. Amazing service and hair cut every time. I will definitely be coming back.

Jon is the best hair stylist I know, I have been coming to him for 5+ years now, and he just keeps getting better and better.
He’s super nice and friendly, funny as well, and courteous to the max. He knows all the latest trends and styles, and constantly works on perfecting his craft.
He will give you honest opinions about what works better for you, but even if you don’t agree with him, he will work with you to get you the look you are looking for.

Very good hair stylist. As a picky customer, I tried a lot of different salons in town and he was the best. I went to some luxury salons and they sometimes can’t understand what I need and just went through what they think. But Jon is not one of these. He follows my need and designs what matches me the most. He is very nice and active. Love talking to him and makes me relax. Thank u!

My recent visit to Jon’s salon has been beyond positive. From the moment I entered, he treated me with hospitality and a kind of friendliness you would expect from a close friend. There was an immediate comfort and trust, which is important to me to find in a hair stylist.
I came for a cut and digital perm and I was very pleased with Jon’s work and the result! He is patient, helpful, and attentive with asking questions to get a feel for what you are looking for. Even if you don’t know immediately, Jon is creative with ideas and suggestions. He is very skilled at his craft, very professional and even called personally when he couldn’t make the appointment on time. I appreciated his personable approach!
Lastly, I can’t help but mention that Jon’s salon just has such a nice, sunny and peaceful vibe. The color scheme and the décor makes this salon stand out more than others.
Loved my time spent here and would definitely go back to see him again when I’m in the area. I came in as a stranger and left a friend. Thanks Jon, you’re awesome!

Jon is the best! I have been searching for a hair stylist around SG area, and found Jon Studio on Unilocal!And I came here for hair coloring, and I’ve always wanted Ash color… and Jon did for me! Because a lot of hair stylist I tried before, my hair doesn’t turn ash instead orange brownish. And Jon got my color right! He is very detailed and thoroughly. From hair bleach to my metallic ash hair color, Jon also did treatment afterwards! My hair looks amazing! Definitely worth the price! highly recommended!

I had gotten a balayage done by Jon a few months ago and it seemed fine but now that my hair has gotten lighter, it seems more apparent that some kind of mistake was made. There is a pretty obvious chunk of hair that was missed (as you’ll see from the pictures included).
I really hate submitting a negative review and the only reason there are two stars is because Jon is such a nice guy, but for the time and money spent, it sucks to know that this happened.

Love my new hair style (long to short), and the platinum color is so awesome!
Finally want to make some changes. I use to have long straight/​curly hair, but it was so hard to take care and seems like lots of Asian girls in CA has the same hairJon did a great job as usual, and my hair is still very healthy after bleached 2 times… thank you！

Friendly and patient. He makes sure that you’re happy with what you’re looking for and will patiently answer all your questions. Service was awesome too. I was a little late for my appointment but he was really chill about it and i appreciate that a lot.
The price is fairly high but it’s worth it for sure.

Jon is a super professional and fun Taiwanese designer. I showed him 3 similar yet different references for the hair style I wanted to achieve and he was able to sum up and did a great job on my hair.
The tiffany blue walls in the studio is soothing and the whole experience was excellent!
It is really hard to find a designer that you can trust here but I’m glad that I had the chance to finally meet Jon: D

Scheduled the day before to get my hair styled with Jon. He was super courteous and professional, the salon is new and clean, and the Tiffany-​blue wall just makes the whole experience that much better! Jon is one of those hairstylists who knows what he’s doing but also listens to what you want! He’s also able to recommend styles that are appropriate to your face shape if you’re not so sure.
I have thick and rather damaged hair (from previous hair coloring elsewhere), so not many hair stylists can handle the volume. He does a great job at knowing how to work with my hair texture! Thank god.
Will be scheduling for a haircut next time!

What made me to write this review for Jon Studio Hair Salon? I met Jon a month ago through Unilocal.I had a hair cut there and today I’m back to have color treatment. Jon is a talkative, funny Taiwanese hair stylist. He will asked what you like & don’t like and give you recommendations. Salon is clean and comfortable. Sometimes serve with hot tea & snack.
I appreciate Jon very much for doing a great job on my hair.

I have always been looking for a hairstylist that not only possesses great skills, but also a sense of fashion that could help me improve my overall appearance for YEARS! And how lucky I met with Jon!
I am a wedding photographer and fashion portrait photographer; which means I met with lots of people every time I am shooting someone’s wedding, and everyone will be all dressed up at the wedding. Not only I have to keep my professional appearance at all times, but also has to have a touch of fashion sense as well. And Jon is the only one I trust with that.
You would never want to try another hairstylists once you had been at his studio. His professional technique, his professional advices, and his fun personality, is something that makes him a great stylist.
