This place makes great tasting and healthy food… Is that a thing?! Wish they were a little cheaper and I would eat there more often. However they aren’t exactly expensive compared to other sandwicheries, just someplace you would eat every once in a while.

Pleasantly surprised!!! I had the tuna sandwich and it was delish! Everything is super fresh and they keep the place clean. I’m so mad at myself for just now finding out about this place because it’s only a block from my office! Overall awesome fund!

Deli like atmosphere with Gluten Free bread options that are NOT listed on the menu. Be careful though the cookie they give you with the sandwich is NOTGF and there is not a GF option. I ordered the Sacks Symphony on a GF bun which was YUMMY. The bun was big which is odd for GF. They are available for delivery which is great for company meetings! Be careful they are only open M-F 8a-3p.(Guess they like their nights & weekends off!) I will be back!

I work a few doors down from Sacks so this has become my new go to place for something other then a” brought from home sammie.” The sandwiches are awesome I have tried symphony, the overture the Ruben and the encore all great but my fave is the overture. Now that it is «winter» here in Az. I like soup and Sacks has THEBEST Butternut Squash soup I have ever had. The pablano chili’s add a nice kick but not over the top«makes me cry» kind of kick. It is so very tasty and I get it whenever it is on the menu. also love the little cookie they add to the order. very yummy place although you might want to call your order in if you are pressed for time, lunch time gets busy. Oh and the employees are so very friendly with a smile all the time(which is rare these days). Go there, eat, enjoy!!!

What a great place to come for lunch, the only reason that this is 4 stars is the parking situation isn’t always that great(essence bakery is over here too, so it’s busy sometimes). I love coming to Sacks and the prices are great.

I have frequented this location for the past 8 years and they have never disappointed me. I have had the Rubens, deli, jazz and Mona. My favorite is the Mona. The lox is delicious and capers nicely balance the sandwich out. I called in an order for lunch with four orders and they got everything right and didn’t mind ringing us up separately. Tip: call ahead for lunch and it will be a quick in and out the door.

Orders this for our company lunch. I was very impressed I called in at 8am for delivery at 11 the order taker took my large order quickly and correctly which made my morning! Arrived at work and at 11am there was the delivery driver very impressed! I checked the order everything was correct and labeled! Then I looked at the bill and saw they had added a tip which was ok… I sometimes get upset when they do this but this time I was happy because I realized most people must not tip so I added an extra tip and thanked him for being on time. Now to the food The food was good, the special orders were made correctly and the normal orders were made perfectly! They will get weekly calls from us

I’ve been a Sacks fan for years. If you want a big, tasty sandwich while in the area of ASU’s main campus, this is about your best option. This location has ample parking, lots of seating and friendly service. Prices are reasonable for a freshly made sandwich with quality ingredients. PS — they have limited hours, so check before you journey over.

Good lunch place; Delicious sandwiches. Must try 1. Symphony 2. Potato Salad 3. Reuben(though I couldn’t try it personally, everyone I have been with highly recommends it)

I’ve been here three times in a week. What does that say? My first trip I had their egg salad sandwich. I was not a fan. Seemed too dry and I like my egg salad with just egg salad and maybe some mayo on bread. No need to put lettuce on it. On my second trip I had their Cordon Bleu and holy crap was that an insanely awesome sandwich! Every bite better than the next. It was a bit messy, but that’s what napkins are for! On my most recent, I had their ruben and again. awesome! I’ve been during their lunch rush and they always seem to get the food out pretty fast. Love it!

Haven’t been here in a very long time, so I thought I’d give it a try again. The service was great! The lady who took my order was friendly and offered suggestions when I was unsure on what to order. My meal was ready in just minutes. She also gave me a water cup while I was waiting. Kudos to her and her great customer service skills(I didn’t catch her name but she had blonde hair and heart shaped glasses) I had the Encore sandwich as a salad(trying to cut out bread from my diet). It was delicious! The meal also comes with a cookie-a nice touch. Also noticed the breakfast menu. All the breakfast choices looked good. Glad I stopped here today, I will definitely be back!

The team of employees seem nice. I did use the restroom as soon as I walked in and before I even made it back to the register an employee stopped me in my tracks and asked«I didn’t catch your order, are you going to order or simply use the bathroom» in a rude manor. This made me uncomfortable, like I had done something wrong. However, this should not to reflect the quality of the food, sometimes you just have an off day and I hope gentleman was simply having a bad day. Sacks has a variety of sandwich’s, I’m a simple gal, I ordered turkey on sourdough with lettuce and tomato. Coming from northern California, I am an avid lover of all bread, sourdough being the oblivious choice, it was delicious. The turkey was sliced thick, moist and present in the sandwich. Something you can no longer find at chain sandwich shops. The produce was fresh and juicy, there were enough tomato’s to add the perfect amount of acidity. Every meal comes with a cookie, that’s a cute touch, and they are just like your grandmother’s. YUM. The shop was set up nicely, and clean enough. My biggest complaint is the amount of fly’s inside the establishment. Yet, this issue seems to be common in Arizona, can someone invest in some damn fly killee??! Nothing ruins a meal more than a fly landing on the perfect bite that you’ve been saving for last.

Went today, and had the Cobb salad. It was uninspired, and the quality of the ingredients could have been better. The cheese just stuck together, and wasn’t great. What WAS great, was the service. Top notch. For that reason, I will return again and try other options. Go about 11. It gets really packed at noon. Overall, skip the salads…

I go here at least twice a week for lunch. Every sub comes with a cookie everyone seems friendly and nice and everything is priced reasonably. The only thing I would change was stay open later! I have to eat dinner too!

Only 1 vegetarian option on the whole menu unless you wanna build it yourself. Not vegan friendly either.

I have only ever ordered delivery from Sacks as I work over on Rio Salado and Priest. I’ve had the Overture, the Symphony, and the Van Gogh. All of them have their special little attributes, and each is tasty in its own right. FAR superior to any sub sandwich chain in the area, and even some of the specialty sandwich shops which seem to cater to professionals lunching in the area. Only once was the delivery not super quick, but it was due to traffic on the way to my office and not because anyone messed up. The sandwiches are always fresh, and if they show up a little soggy, I all it a testament to the freshness of their bread and vegetables. I will continue to order on days I am not able to make it out of the office for lunch and recommend them to friends. Good stuff!

I went here on day after school and had the Ruben. It was the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever eaten. They give you little cookies with every sandwich which are also amazing. The next day I brought my whole family sandwiches. Best sandwich shop in town, can’t wait to work my way through the rest of the menu!

My 2nd time there. Everything that I have tasted has been terrific! They offer a wide variety of sandwiches and other options for lunch. They even have a good amount of breakfast items too. At times they get crowded but they are well worth the wait.

Love the musical/art inspired names but was not impressed with the oh so chewy roast beef in my sandwich. I ordered the Overture which was a horseradish + roast beef sandwich served on a baguette. — Horseradish had good kick — Baguette more like a soft french roll — Sandwich suffered a bit from having everything on one side of the sandwich leaving me with bites of just beef/horsey sauce Proximity to ASU is a bonus though and they have free parking in front. A solid option for students looking for a bite but not really a destination in itself *Appreciate the cookie though

I’m a fan of sandwiches… and not plain sandwiches, neither. I want all the fixins, unexpected toppings, and bread options you have to offer! Sacks delivers in these essential categories. First, they have two killer vegetarian options. The Impressionist has every awesome thing on it, ever(avocado, cucumber, sprouts, cheeses, cream cheese, mayo…), and the grilled cheese was delicious as well. I picked pepper jack and swiss cheese for mine, and it came out so ooey-gooey. Yay! This place is decidedly college. Just a plain little sandwich shop, some indoor some outdoor seating. I imagine those ASU-goers love it, but I also saw a lot of business people using the pick-up option. Good sandwich spot in Tempe. Oh and most importantly, your sandwich comes with a cookie!
