My boyfriend who lives in San Diego contracted with his local florist to send me flowers at work for Valentines Day(yesterday). The florist he worked with apparently worked with Monarch. 1. Lost /had the wrong address, at 4pm(after a guaranteed delivery of noon) they called my office line and said that they tried to deliver but couldn’t find my office and to please call back. 2. Called back and got their voicemail 4 times, 5th try and finally reached someone. I explained my voicemail, he just said ok. I asked if he needed my info /name, he said no. I asked if they needed the correct address, he said no we have it. I was obviously confused then as to why my flowers couldn’t be delivered if they did indeed have my information. 3. He was not apologetic or friendly, and basically gave me a «welp, these will be there tomorrow, no way they are getting there today» answer when I asked when the flowers would actually be delivered. The flowers came today at 1pm, they are a nice enough arrangement, but the HORRIBLE customer service is offsetting my entire experience. Don’t use them if you want on time delivery or actual customer service.

Horrible service. Bait and switch. Flowers delivered where half the size of the picture. Called to complain then English was a problem. Sandwich shop/flowers shop. Avoid like a plague.

This is a nice little neighborhood type shop. They clerk was very friendly and helpful. In addition to floral arrangements, Monarch sells lots of «knick knacks» like snow globes and mobiles, particularly related to butterflies. The selection of pre-made flower arrangements was small, my guess is they do most of their business as custom made ones. They 3 or 4 they had were beautiful though so we didn’t mind the lack of selection. My only problem with Monarch was the limited selection of the little cards you stick in flower arrangements. They only had the basic ones like Happy Birthday or congratulations. Oddly, they also had Mothers’ and Fathers’ day cards(in September). Our occasion didn’t fall into in category represented by these cards. Get well soon doesn’t really apply to a healthy 92 year old who just had both legs amputated, and there were no blank cards. So the selection is less than ideal, but everything else was awesome about our experience.
