Slice of Life

An update from my last post. Somehow Shannon got ahold of me at work, and apologized for the lack of communication. She said she wrote my order in the wrong book. I didn’t cancel the new order I made with another place just in case I didn’t get her follow up text with her address. Thankfully, it came the night before I needed the cake.
The cake came out super cute, just as I had imagined it to be, like the example I sent. It tasted pretty good too, not super moist, but very tasty. My daughter loved it.

Shannon did an amazing job. She made this cake last minute and it was perfect. Not only was the cake adorable but it was also delicious! I will definitely be back.

Based on my photos and business experience with Shannon, I have been very happy with her customer service (since 2012) until this past February. I had a wonderful event this past July 2014 and Shannon gave me some great memories with her amazing cakes: a marble cake with a tuxedo theme and cake pops to look like olives for some prop martini glasses that I supplied. She has been my go-​to for the last 3 years and you can hopefully understand my disappoinent at suddenly never hearing from her this past February when I started planning my son’s birthday. My July event exceeded my expectations as she always does, this recent experience left me so disappointed and confused. After an email, a couple phone calls and voice messages, a text, checking her website and facebook activity being recent, then calling the commercial bakery location she uses and their telling me she is still in business and they will relay the message for me, I never heard from Shannon. I hoped she was alright and nothing serious had affected her. I just happened to be going through my review history and thought I would update this one. First, had to be thorough and make sure she still had activity on her Facebook. Last activity was indeed recent from April 6^th 2015. Hence, my confusion again at never having been given a response of any kind. I would have understood if she was too busy to take on any new orders, but nothing was acknowledged. I moved on to finding another cake venue. Her cakes are really wonderful so I wish her well but I couldn’t overlook the chance of someone else possibly experiencing what I encountered this Feb. and assume I didn’t know what I was talking about from my previous orders. I hope no one else has had this encounter. If you are able to reach her and receive one of her cakes, I am sure you will be happy with what she creates. Maybe reach out to her directly via Facebook? I am not on there often but in just looking at her activity more closely for this review I do see more response on there. What a bummer… I didn’t pursue that avenue. So In conclusion, it does not matter if you are a customer with history for how she responds to potential business.

I can’t even rate this place. Zero! I’m not even sure if this place even exists. We are needing a cake for my son’s birthday next week and we have left mesasages since Sunday and we have yet to receive a call back. The cakes looks amazing and we were hoping to have one done from here however to even connect with an actual person seems impossible! Don’t waste your time trying to call — no one answers. Not sure if they want any business at all.

Shannon is so so amazing! I’m so thankful I found her! I needed a cake for my mom’s birthday and I started looking a bit late but Shannon happily complied and had my cake done within the time frame and it was done perfectly. Did I mention perfectly?! That cake was flawless. I sent her a picture of the cake I wanted and she nailed it, while also adding her own touches.
Not only did it look amazing, it tasted so good! That’s so so rare to find; a cake that has both looks and taste. Her fondant, for some reason was so delicious. I usually don’t like fondant but her’s was yum!
I’m so curious to see what else she has to offer! Thank you again, Shannon~

I had my graduation cake made by Shannon and it was beyond what I expected not only did it look amazing it tasted amazing, and that is coming from a FOODIE. I am very picky with food and desert especially and Shannon nailed it. Her prices are the best you will find!!!

Shannon did an amazing job on my wife’s birthday cake. All of our friends were so impressed with her work. I would recommend her work to anyone.
