We came here because we had a coupon for the family feast for $ 29.99. So, we ordered that, as well as, their sandwich that has roast beef, pastrami and turkey(can’t remember the name of it) it’s very large and looked delicious in the picture. I have to say, we were really disappointed with the quality of the food. The pizza was very greasy and soggy and the sauce was very sweet. The lasagna was just ok but, the sauce is definitely not fresh and it was swimming in it. Both items, tasted like something you would get from the frozen food section of the grocery store, like stouffers. The real disappointment though was the sandwich. It looked good when they brought it to the table but the taste and quality of the meat were not good at all! The meat was very fatty and tough and tasted old. I split the sandwich with my husband and ended up leaving my whole half on the plate. I have had better sandwiches at chains like Togos. So then we get the bill and they charged us 37.99 for the family feast. When I reminded her that we had the coupon she said yes that it had been deducted at the bottom. Well, the only deduction was for $ 4. We just paid it because it wasn’t worth it to argue over a couple of dollars. On the brightside the service was pretty good that’s the only reason it’s a two star review and not one star. Definitely will not be back.

Worth the 30 mile drive. Had the Famous Fabulous. Wife had Philly Cheese steak. Largest menu I’ve ever seen. Portions are huge. NY Egg Cream drink was strange… kinda like carbonated chocolate milk.

Went here today for a Red Hat lunch with a group of 7 ladies. They have such a great menu selection, it was easy for everyone to find something to enjoy! First off, the pickles are great! I really enjoy that style of pickles. The soup I has, Sweet and Sour Cabbage, while not the very best version of it I’ve had, was still very tasty. My sandwich was perfect. Liverwurst and Swiss cheese on really nice sourdough with mayo, brown mustard, and red onion… heaven! The coleslaw was good, too. The dessert cases were very impressive. I ordered a Napoleon. It will probably last me all week… it’s HUGE! I also got some goodies to go. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. I would totally eat here again and recommend it highly! Thanks, guys!

Rockafellas is so good for the customers because they have generous portions, tasty dinner entrees and the desserts are the best. My wife and I are going to order lunch sandwiches on our next visit… and the staff is friendly!

One of my favorite non-chain restaurants in Temecula. Good NY deli-inspired menu. The brisket French dip sandwich is AMAZING! Best au jus I’ve ever tasted.

Without going into much detail, here’s are experience… 1. Waited almost 20 minutes to order(not busy) 2. Pickle tray was great. 3. First sandwich was liverwurst just mayo ONLY. 4. Next was a rare roast beef. Liverwurst arrived not as ordered, had onion, tomato and lettuce. Waitress took it back and returned with one with onions so I took those off. Sandwich looked like there was no meat, upon opening there was two slices of liverwurst. Nothing like the photos on their web site! Second sandwich, roast beef, arrived. Was warm, which was odd. Wife took a bite and said it was not roast beef. Sent this one back as well(it was actually pastrami). Our roast beef arrived and was tough with a lot of stringy fat on it. My wife took two bites and moved it away. Restaurants are rated by their peers in the industry. Unfortunately this one was not even close DZ’s or Manhattans and the photos misrepresent the sandwich. The waitress did credit one sandwich on the bill.

This place has a great east coast feel to it, and the food is tasty! Beware of the dessert counter, as you will want to buy everything :) A few months back, I placed a to go order with them, and did not check the food before leaving. I noticed when I got back home that they forgot to give us our Meatball Sub. I called them, they thoroughly apologized, and even delivered a fresh sub(and a container of free cookies/pastries) to my house! Great customer service!

I’m sad to say, I am not impressed, but disappointed! The pictures on here of the food, look amazing so we were excited. The place itself is clean, upbeat and stylish. We walked in and ordered to go. The service was good and the order was ready in 10 minutes. The variety of desserts in the display case is amazing. They have chocolate chip cheesecake which you can’t find anywhere. We didn’t get dessert, because we had a full cake at home. Ordered the pizza bread and it was good, good ingredients. It was small for the price. The coleslaw is different, but good. Very small portion. The sandwiches we ordered had good ingredients, but the lettuce to meat ratio was ridiculous. I should have gone to Submarine for a sandwich. I have to say, I want to go back, dine in, and try a meal(non sandwich) and the dessert.

I keep coming back and trying their food but each time I am astounded. All their food(including baked goods) looks fabulous but have absolutely no taste. The matzo ball soup tastes like water. I wonder if the owners ever come in to taste the food?

Great. Will be back! Extensive menu huge portions on meal and desserts. Had the #1 with coleslaw and would recommend. This place is packed for lunch and still had great service. CHANGINGREVEIWFROM5TO1STAR! Food is fantastic, service also fantastic. Owner needs to decide if his restaurant caters to humans or dogs. Went there on Sunday for the 6th time and this time there was a dog on the patio. I dont know what makes the owner of the dog or the restaurant think diners want to eat around other peoples dogs. Cater to the dogs, I wont be eating here anymore.

10/25/2015 Our Second Visit to this Great Restaurant. This time for Breakfast. We Weren’t Disappointed. The service was still five stars and extremely friendly. The food didn’t disappoint us either. We all had omelettes that were large plump and tasty. Fried potatoes with onions and Bell peppers were seasoned well and cooked just right. The potato latkes were a tasty way to start off the morning. There is a nice breakfast menu to choose from and sitting on the patio is a great place for us to enjoy breakfast with our little dog. Looks like this place is good for breakfast lunch or dinner. We are fans and will be returning again and again. If in the Temecula area you must give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget to visit the desert counter. Each dessert choice is large enough for two to share. Enjoy.

I ordered a pizza to go after a heavy day of lifting Veggie half w/sausage and a garden salad. The salad was chunky and tasty w/Balsamic vinegar dressing. The pizza was a bit bland by my standards, experiences. It did have a good amount of toppings, however, the sausage did not taste«Italian’. It did do the job that was intended. Now their desserts! Giant Ding Dong, is all I need to say. Giant Ding Dong!

My husband and I have been here a few times now and after trying the Mish Mash soup I felt compelled to write this review. Service is awesome and quick — both sit down and to-go. The place looks pretty cool inside and out. The dessert display will not let you leave without picking out a few things out of it. Corned beef and pastrami is amazing. Pastrami Reuben is amazing. Matzo ball soup is amazing. Mish Mash soup is my favorite. Everything in the dessert case is also my favorite. Try this place at least once… And I’m sure it’ll be your favorite.

**This review is based solely on their desserts My family joined another family for dinner at a local restaurant and wanted something different for dessert than what was on their menu. I remembered a previous visit I had at Rockafellas so we headed there to pick up dessert. They have a 3 shelf refrigerated dessert case filled with huge pieces of carrot cake, pineapple upside down cake, homemade gigantic ding dongs, cheesecakes, various cakes, eclairs and napoleons. Then they have another case the same size filled with Italian cookies. Let’s not forget the counter that has homemade honey bread and cookies larger than your head. Everything we got was delicious!!! I picked up 2 Italian cookies and a Napoleon and walked out spending $ 10. My friend got the pineapple upside down cake a turnover, a ding dong and a couple Italian cookies and spent $ 30 Next time you need a dessert remember Rockafellas instead of those overpriced cupcake places!

One thing is for sure, you are likely to leave Rockefellas feeling very full; everything I have ordered has been very large portions. However, with those portions come fairly high prices, more on those prices later. The food is very solid. I have tried everything from their sandwiches(French Dip, Pastrami, and Philly Cheese Steak), to their Hot Dog, to a hamburger, to their pasta. I have also had a number of apprizes including fried pickles and bread sticks. Everything I have had has been good, my favorite being their French Dip with brisket. They have a huge, and at time overwhelming menu, you really can go wrong based on the selections I have tried. Moreover, from my experience that serve has always been on point and helpful. I really want to give Rockafellas a 4 star, «Yay! I am a fan» review; however, I cannot. Why? Because, as I alluded to earlier, I think their prices are too high. They charge $ 3 for a drink, $ 6.99 for a few fried pickles, most sandwiches are around $ 13.99, their kids menu is $ 6.99. I could go on and on; however, the bottom line is that I feel the price is too high for the quality of food. I would much rather have lower prices with portions a bit smaller. After all I have rarely eaten everything on my plate. Moreover, this isn’t the type of restaurant that I want to spend $ 50 + on a lunch with my family. As a result of missing my price point Rockafellas is getting a 3 star review from me …

I hit this place on my way to San Diego. I looked it up on Unilocal and decided to stop here for a quick lunch. This is a really nice place with extensive menu. The service and food were amazing and I really recommend to anyone driving to or from San Diego on the 15 freeway to stop at this place, you will not be disappointed. LOCATION: This is located in the city of Temecula. If you are driving on the 15 freeway then you exit on Wenchester Ave/79 and head on east. This is easy to find in this big shopping center. Plenty of parking. AMBIANCE: Nice and cool place. Clean, airy, wide open space with plenty of TV’s all around. Plenty of tables and booths. It is really good for groups, families or just the two old grumpy you and her… lol SERVICE: Susan, my host, my server, the cheerful lady with big smile. Thank you for being so gracious and professional. Susan was on top of it all from the minute walked in until I left. 5***** stars for Susan. THEFOOD: I came here knowing what I want, Pastrami sandwich($ 12.99). But after reading this huge menu with all kind of food, from Italian, Pizza, sandwiches and more, I settled on the brisket/pastrami on french roll sandwich with white cheese. Earlier on, Susan brought me a plate with picked green tomatoes and pickles that were crunchy delicious. When my sandwich arrived, my eyes just popped wide open at how big the portion was, and after taking the first bite I was in heaven. The taste, the tenderness of of both meats with the semi-melted cheese was just unbelievable. THISIS A MUSTTRY. LOVEDIT! DESERT: I read one of the Unilocal reviews and one was raving about how good was the brownie cheesecake they serve. So I asked Susan, I would like one of them. few minutes later she brought me this huge serving that is enough for three people. Oh my God, I must be out of mind to be eating like this… Once a pig always a pig… oh yeah, that is me… I have to be honest, I took few bites of this wonderful desert and I was stuffed. The rest was packed to go. This was really really good, creamy in the inside and all the chocolate in the outside just oozing. Another hit, until next time we meet, you and I Mrs. brownie cheesecake! TOGOORDER: I ordered their«Famous Fabulous»($ 16.99) This is a huge sandwich enough for two, three or four people, no kidding. Piled high filled with, Turkey, Roast beef, Pastrami, Corned beef, Swiss cheese and coleslaw and tomatoes with side of pasta salad and pickles. This was suppose to be for later on at night. All what was able to eat is few bites and I was full. Next day it was attacked and man won, food lost. This is really a huge sandwich, do not order if you are alone unless you plan on eating it for the next two to three days. I enjoyed the Brisket and Pastrami much more. THEVERDICT: Indeed a truly delicious sandwiches and desert. Hope to try something else on my next visit, soon!

Italian Jewish deli. My first impression of this place was that it was pretty small even though the menu was so huge! I’m one of those people that plans out what I’m going to order before actually going to a restaurant. I’d highly advise doing that here. I ordered one of the mile high deli sandwiches(turkey, pastrami, and corned beef). The pastrami was the best out of the three. I added the table sauerkraut to the sandwich which was great. I could only eat half of the sandwich, so plan on taking home a ton of leftovers. They provide only one type of mustard tableside, but if I had one recommendation It would be also provide a different one. Perhaps horseradish mustard, or chipotle mustard? Service Horatio was very attentive in filling drinks, grabbing extra plates, and making sure the order was right. Summation — I was satisfied with the meal, and impressed with the desserts. In Temecula, Rockafellas is definitely worth a try. Top Picks — Desserts(be sure to check both cases). — Anything with rye bread — Pizza(Good not great, but great for feeding the kids) Tip You can ask to sample one of their soups before you order, just ask the waiter.

Rockafellas is a delicatessin located in Temecula. I came here for a meeting and used my trust olé Unilocal app to see whats around. since the wifey wasn’t around, i wasnt at the wineries lol. Located right in the middle of the shopping plaza. Rockafellas takes its inspiration from New york. You are able to see the new york themed décor throughout the restaurant. Everything came with a plate of pickles. I’m a big fan of the half pickle /half cucumber style, so thats what I went for. It was an ok one. I compare it to slightly better then one you get at the specialty market. I ordered the Pastrami + roast beef Combo. The Pastrami was done quite well. It had a good fat and pepper balance to the meat. It made a hearty sandwhich Service was decent. They were friendly, but for an empty restraunt the least they could do was check on you. Its a good option since we really don’t have any delis here. The best one I feel is located in LA(Langers), but this is a good alternative.

Born and raised on the West Coast. That’s what I am. But I think my taste buds are a carry-over from another life, or two, or three, or more. In one of them I had to have been a 19th Century Eastern European immigrant because I cannot go into any Jewish deli without ordering a Pastrami Reuben. So after reading about the vast majority of happy reviewers who indulged in that sky high pastrami sandwich from Rockafella’s, there was no question about pointing the car in this direction. Well, it may have also helped to have dog friendly dining, since our little shadow, the one and only free spirited, hollow legged, Lilly pup, was doing a day trip with us, ecstatically hanging her head out the window, tongue waving in the wind. We planted ourselves in the nice patio complete with brightly umbrella’d patio tables and lush plants, entirely fenced in but with a gate to access from outside the restaurant. It was a very hot day, sure wish there had been some fans. And then there was their great staff, including our wonderful server named Susan(Susie) who bounced out to greet us immediately. Susie enthusiastically managed our table flawlessly. A great start, her presence alone made our experience here totally enjoyable. She took care of Lilly first, a tin filled with ice water. Lilly was grateful, but was still saving room for her next course. First came the complimentary pickle dish, a combination of homemade pickle wedges, pickled green tomato slices, and a small pile of very mild sauerkraut. Loved the green tomato. We ordered an appetizer, a platter full of puffy bread sticks(presumably pizza dough) that had been rolled in garlic butter then generously sprinkled with parmesan. A side of a very bland(IMHO) marinara came with it. Mr. B loved it, I was not impressed, but did not hate it. My suspicions are, let somebody else make the Italian stuff, stick with the deli options and you’ll be more than fine. The Pastrami Reuben was everything it was touted to be… excellent tasting, piled high with thinly sliced(not too fatty) meat, laid on a beautifully grilled rye with a layer of that mild yet tasty sauerkraut and melted cheese. It was moist and delicious at every bite, and generous. I loved the crunch of the bread as I bit into the sandwich. The homemade Russian dressing came on the side, for which I am glad as the combined flavors did not work with this sandwich. The mustard worked nicely for me. Mr. B’s eyes cannot get past pickled tongue on the menu. His sandwich had equally moist, thick slices, piled high on the same good rye bread. He was so happy. Lilly gave a resounding tail-wag of approval for both, then laid herself down in the puddle of cool drinking water that had spilled onto the cement. And the generous sides, one red potato salad and one cole slaw were simple yet wonderful. Both were made with a mayonnaise dressing, btw. We were able to feel plenty satisfied after eating half of our sandwiches. Oh happy day… that means we get to enjoy it again, something we really look forward to. The bill came to around $ 38 for two, but really enough food for four. Dontcha just love a real good deli? 5 stars for the pastrami and tongue. Amen!
