Beautiful grounds and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. As everyone mentions, the White Merlot is a yummy and interesting wine. Enjoyed walking around and watching the horse and just relaxing in this laid back place. All the woodwork was gorgeous. I’m coming back again soon!

I love the staff here! Everyone is so sweet and friendly! The white Merlot is a must have if you’re stopping by. While you’re at it try a panty dropper :)

The grounds at Longshadow make you feel like you’ve been transported out of state to a quaint horse ranch. Their port served in a chocolate boot is a memorable treat. Servers are friendly and attentive. There are horses and lots of shady spots to hang out. Their wines weren’t #1 in my opinion, but the atmosphere is so unique that I’ll return.

Amazing wine, amazing staff, amazing grounds! In the summer on the weekends you can wine taste outside, which is awesome considering the view you have of the ranch and horses. They have picnic tables so you can pack a lunch and take in the beauty of the property while you eat. I actually did that with some friends and we had a wonderful time. On Saturday evenings in the summer they have a bonfire and live bands with wine, craft beer, and snacks. No cover to watch the bands, just bring $ for food and drink. They have a little play area for kids outside too. Long shadow has become one of my favorite wineries.

The wine here is OK, not for someone that likes the big bold reds. It is more for an event and people that like white or sweet wines. For the 2016 Temecula barrel event they did not have the food listed on the menu and it was very disappointing.

Very western themed winery with wines that are surprisingly high brow. Excellent service that was knowledgeable but also gave us or space when needed.

I’m in love with this place. Our first visit to the area was in March 2015 and we decided to try this winery because I saw they had horses(huge horse lover right here). Their tasting room is very unique with the barrel tables, love the rustic feel and the country music. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and helpful! We returned over Thanksgiving weekend 2015 because we had a friend with us and I had to get him to try the Ponderosa Port — it was my favorite(and still is!) It was busier this time around, but still easy to get served and ask questions. I also really enjoy the White Merlot and Muscat of Alexandria. We brought a bottle of the Outlaw Red — Gunslinger’s Reserve home as it was a favorite of ours. I really love this place and hope we are able to make many more visits back there! If you haven’t been, you NEED to give this place a try!

Great kid-friendly winery. Perfect to picnic and spend and afternoon with family and friends. We were able to bring our own food and sit outside while kids played on the slide and fed the animals at this ranch style winery. The picnic area is right outside the tasting room so we were able to easily walk back and forth to get our pours.

I love that this winery is outdoors and has animals!!! They also limos and you don’t need reservations for large groups. Dan was awesome! He was very knowledgeable about his wines, personable, and hilarious. Everyone that worked here was super friendly and accommodating! I also found it interesting that they have a playground. I love that they are catering to families. The gift shop is small but they have some great drinking gifts! The wines are ok.

We came to the tasting room on a Sunday in December for a friend’s birthday. We had a Groupon for 4 tastings and $ 20 off a bottle. This was the 4th winery we went to that day, so we arrived late in the day. There were a few other groups in the tasting room. They had many wines to choose from for the tasting. The service was great even though the host had to divide his time between several groups. He made several on point recommendations. He steered us away from wines that he said were not as tasty and had us try several great reds. There are also animals on the property that you can visit when you are done with the wine!

A winery for«the rest of us». This was, by far, the most chill tasting experience I’ve ever had. Attendant was completely laid back, wearing jeans and a cowboy hat. Country music playing(and a good selection too). Barrels set up as tables all over. Loud conversations seemed almost encouraged for a change. It all felt like we SHOULD have been drinking beers, which is my kinda vibe! If you’re intimidated by the whole wine tasting experience, this is the spot to get your feet wet. The wines themselves were rather decent as well. The flavors were very bold across the board. If you’re looking for subtle notes of whatever bull the labels insist you should be tasting, this is not the winery for that. As befits the theme, these are wines for cowboys: bold, rugged, and real. Wow, I kinda sound like I got this weird hard-on for cowboys… Whatever, just forget what I said and check this place out.

We fell in love with Longshadow Ranch years ago when we came for wine tasting, and we could not believe it when we realized how affordable LSR was for weddings. We were thrilled to book them and in the end we had the most beautiful, fairytale of a wedding a married couple could dream of. Alas, there were some serious problems that we faced with the staff running the ranch, therefore we do warn you to proceed with caution. Everything went as planned, until it was wedding time. Specific examples are: –We arrived with our large group for the rehearsal the day before 1 hour prior to the rehearsal’s start time. We walked around the property and said hello to the few staff we saw. We waited up front for the coordinator to appear, and by fifteen past the appointment time we had to go look for her. We found her with other clients/customers casually conversing and she seemed surprised to see us. We were shocked that she wasn’t up front and prepared for not only our start time but maybe even a few minutes prior to greet us. –The day of the wedding we arrived and the location had not been cleaned completely after the wedding from the day before. The floors in the barn, the bridal loft, the«groomsman suite» and the bathrooms hadn’t been swept or vacuumed, and the«groomsman suite» even had broken glass on the floor which one of us cut our foot on. When our aunt kindly approached the coordinator about maybe running the vacuum, her response was that she didn’t have enough staff to get the place cleaned up. –When we brought these issues to the owners’ attention, they became defensive and showed poor business practices. –They also do not permit you to set up much sooner than your start time. Our wedding started at 5 and they originally would only let us set up at 2, but they were somewhat flexible and allowed us to come at 1. This made it really hard to be ready in time! Overall, the ranch is truly a beautiful place. It was a night we will always remember. We couldn’t have anticipated that they would not have provided us with a clean facility and been professional through the very end, but things happen. You take a chance when you go with a venue run by a staff, and unfortunately for us we got less than we paid for. If you can outline these specific issues when booking and make your expectations for them to fulfill the full parameters of the responsibility of running your wedding venue, than it may not go as poorly for you. Just remind them to clean and to be professional about your rehearsal!

This was our second stop on our wine tasting adventure. Its a decent size place. Right when we walked in, the bar tender greeted us right away. He was extremely friendly. Loved the vibe of our bar tender. Made us feel at home. It’s a kid friendly environment. Our son had fun looking at the pretty horses outside. Overall this winery is sophisticated and love the horse theme and décor throughout the winery. It’s a beautiful place and will be back here next time I’m in town.

Attended my good friends wedding here last month and it was amazing. A great self contained venue that is close enough to Old Town for fun after the event. Laurie took great care of all the details and even kept her cool with some of the more rowdy groomsmen. She really made the night run smoothly. I know the bride and groom were able to enjoy themselves and their guests.

This place is great. We started out going to the Saturday bonfires here, then when we were looking at wedding venues Longshadow was a surprisingly affordable option. We love the rustic, laid back vibe. We joined the wine club and started coming often. We’d get our glasses of wine and sit on the picnic tables outside and people watch and talk. The staff was always friendly and approachable, and the wine is delicious(Cab Franc is the best). Laurie is the contact for weddings and was always so pleasant and helpful, even though I know she is crazy busy all the time. When we did the group tasting for food for our event we were concerned because the apps were cold and the meat was overcooked. Laurie arranged for us to do another tasting to reassure us of the quality of the food. Wedding day all our guests only had good things to say about the venue, Laurie’s calming presence, the food, and the wine. Everything went so well. I would definitely recommend this place for a wedding, or if you’re looking for wine tasting that’s off the main road and a little bit more country than the other wineries.

WOW. ABSOLUTELYUNBELIEVABLE! WORSTPLACEFORSPECIALEVENTS. I’m in search of a place to host our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. My Maid of Honor came across this place and said they had a great dinner option for groups, and she forwarded me all the emails that her and the coordinator exchanged, and where one of Laurie Caty’s email read the following: «Thank you for your interest in Longshadow Ranch Winery to host your Rehearsal Dinner. The pricing starts at $ 45++ per person and includes your choice buffet, 2 drinks per person(beer or wine) and a 3 hour period at the venue with 1 hour set up time. The minimum is 30 adults, please see attached for our event menu. We had set up your event either in our Barn or in the outdoor Picnic Area, depending on availability.» She confirmed the barn was available for our party on that date, which was a Friday night. So after my Maid of Honor passed all this info on to me, I called to see if I could tour the venue and Laurie Caty herself answered. I told her she had been in touch with my friend and she said she wasn’t clear on what kind of party it was. I reminded her it was a rehearsal dinner. She then went on to explain that they prefer weddings and that they only host dinners if they have a minimum of 60 people. So I read her email back to her, where she specified 30 adults. Then she replied with, «Well, we could only accommodate that kind of minimum in the picnic area if there was a wedding in the barn.» …So then I repeated the part where she says we can use the barn. She then proceeds to tell me it’s just not worth it for them to stay open for only 50 people, for only dinner.(Keep in mind that this is one month away — there’s about a 0.1% chance that someone will call to book their wedding there for that specific night.) Anyway, let me repeat, 50PEOPLE. As in 20 over her initial request, and 10 less than her new request. I tell her it doesn’t really make sense that I invite 10 more people to meet her new minimum, which was half that the previous day… And she just kind of agrees. So then I just tell her that I’m extremely disappointed, and that she should be very careful with the information that she gives people — because it’s not that it’s misleading, it’s just plain LYING. WHATINTHEWORLDJUSTHAPPENEDHERE??? I can’t vouch for how great or terrible their wines are, but I can tell you the customer service is about as weird and ridiculous as it can get. I strongly advise you to NOT host your party or special event here, because if they can’t even stick to their offer from one day to the next, then there’s no telling what they’ll do from thereon after.

We did a wine tasting day in Temecula this past Saturday, and Longshadow Ranch was the last stop on our tour. I wish it had been the first stop though, because it was really great! Longshadow has a few pretty horses out front, and they maintain their horse theme throughout the tasting room décor and bottle artwork. The staff that we encountered during our tasting were really friendly, and poured some nice, sophisticated wines. I preferred the Tempranillo out of everything, and would consider getting a case. Overall, Longshadow is a really special boutique winery, and if I ever return to Temecula, I’ll make a special trip there.

First visit to Longshadow Ranch. Just off the beaten path, but worth the deviation. The setting is much more serene than some of the other places and actually gets a good sense of hospitality. I felt I was in a friend’s backyard. Our server, Christine was very knowledgeable and friendly. Service was excellent. The horses, goat and alpaca are a plus. The wine is good. By far not the best that Temecula has to offer, but it is memorable and good. You can taste that this is not a wine that is mass produced. The attention to small batches is evident in the taste. The Cinseaut was particularly nice. Well balanced and full of flavor. Immediately loved it and decided to bring a couple bottles back. I look forward to spending more time here and I’m excited to see what the future brings to Longshadow. Lots of potential.

I have been wanting to try this winery for quite some time now and I finally got the chance and had a great time! They don’t have a huge selection of wine to choose from but they are super cheap for tastings. I decided on a glass of Muscat and it was great! Not too sweet like some I’ve tasted but also not too dry. Just perfect. What made it for me was the ambiance. They have horses around and a ton of places to sit and enjoy the shade. They have an outdoor tasting bar and an inside one with a gift shop too. It’s off the beaten path which I love and can’t wait to come back!
