Ok… to be fair and balanced (compared to the disaster of a theatre behind this place) — the Merc is very nice! The talent is good and some has been great .
The only challenge is it is small… but so is the Bluebird in Nashville.
Perhaps selling 10 less tickets would help… but this is a gem in our city.
Here I would gladly pay for talent…

«The Merc» is located in the historic Mercantile building just off of front street in the same complex area of the Old Town Community Theater. This hip and fun venue hosts live acts from Thursday — Sunday featuring live music of different genres — jazz, rock, blues, country and classical. It’s inexpensive and a great way to enjoy live music. Note: You can purchase wine, beer and snacks at the Old Community concession area adjacent to the building.
