Delicious food and a great atmosphere. We sat at the bar and watched the bartender make unique and beautiful drinks — we tried quite a few. Our dinner at There was one of the many high points of our Telluride trip.

Best staff and service in Telluride, hands down. I go for the excellent food and drink, and fun vibe, but 5 stars is for accommodating and friendly staff.

In early on a Wednesday, friendly attentive service. Food is good, interesting and tasty. Only negative was the brussell sprouts were very salty. I get so tired of complaints about very small restaurants, yes they are trying to turn tables, if they can’t seat you…

I’ve never had a reservation that wasn’t honored until now. Checking in they tell me that I’m not in their«system» but then I showed them the email they sent me confirming my reservation. Instead of getting us all a drink and telling us to sit tight for a few minutes they tell us to go across the street to Siam to get a drink. Siam was incredibly warm, welcoming and accommodating for a very busy Friday night. By the time I got a call from There we were already seated and enjoying an incredible meal at Siam.

This was the best food experience I’ve had in some time. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions and answering questions about the menu and drinks. I had the pork belly skewer, the Kobe beef skewer, the Kobe beef tartar tostado, and the Alaskan crab ceviche lettuce wrap, and they were all delicious. The red pepper jam drink was different and really good as well. I wish they had a dessert but when they’re busy kicking ass on entrees and shareable savory dishes I can understand. They’re focused on what they do best. My group left happy and satisfied and all agreed that was the best meal we’ve had in some time.

Unfortunately, have to agree with some of the other reviews on here. We were asked to leave as soon as we walked in — something about fire code and need for reservations… at a bar? Seems as if they are moving more toward a restaurant concept, which is fine, but would be helpful to have a host stand or something at the entrance if that’s the case. Don’t think we will return.

Wow Have been coming here for years but they are now a victim of themselves. Used to be awesome but unless you get there exactly at 4 pm I wouldn’t bother. You will be turned away. cant imagine making reservations for cocktails.

So the guy that greeted us was really nice. I asked for a spot for two people and he asked if we had a reservation. We said no and he offered us two seats at the bar. I asked if the end of the bar was available and he said it was reserved and then he said I have a table over here but I need it for a reservation at 6:30 how long will you be here? It was about 5:25 and I figured we could eat and be out by then. I said so if we’re out by 6:15 is that good… he said that’s perfect. The nice guy at the front told the bartender/waiter(who also served the table next to us) we needed to be out by the time the next reservation came in. So the bar tender came to our table, sat down, ordered our drinks and asked if we knew what we wanted for food yet? We said not yet… and he proceeded to go over several items on the menu. He came back with our drinks a short time later and then never ever came back to take our food order. It was 5:50 and my friend walked up to the bar and spoke to the nice guy from the front and said I know you guys need us out of here by 6:15 but no one has even taken our food order yet. The guy tried to get the bartenders attention but could not and then said oh I didn’t know you wanted food I can’t do food now the kitchen is too busy, maybe I could do brussel sprouts. We said no never mind but the bartender did know we wanted food he even discussed it with us and then just never came back. Meanwhile the bar filled up and there was nowhere for us to eat and still be out by 6:15. We left zero tip for the bartender and he tossed my credit card on the table when he realized it but come on… we literally did not get to order, he just never came back to take our order. It’s a shame really because the guy at the front was really trying to be accommodating but his bartender buddy totally dropped the ball in the service(or should I say no service) department. We could have just sat and eaten at the bar had we known we were not going to actually get to order at a table. Oh and he literally never attended to his table next to us once in the 45 minutes we were there either, not until they were ready to pay.

Wow, what an utter disappointment. Have you ever been turned down walking in the door? This place has«if you aren’t local, don’t bother» written all over it. It seems like a great name, seems like a neat atmosphere — nope. Stuck up locals who resent those coming to ski and spend $$$. SKIP

I shouldn’t do this because it’s hard enough to get into… But it is by far the best dining drinking foody sharing bar in Telluride. For the guy who wanted to give it 0 star you have to realize it’s a locals place and if that bugs you go to the New Sheridan, They accept all comers. I digress, order the grapefruit to start and the Brussels. It’s just the great start. Then allow the guys to help you order share plates and apps, they time it perfect. If the vibe starts to drop don’t be surprised if your enlisted for shot skis. In any event the food and ambiance is fantastic. Not Aspen! Telluride, means casual local fantastic. I worked with 8 times James Beard nominated chef, I know my stuff. ;)

Absolutely loved this place! Best dinner in town-had the $ 4 bites… yummy. Kobe beef over spinach greens with a vinegarette dressing was excellent — so was the shrimp skewers. Better than the Sheridan for a steak dinner. Service was great-very attentive(thanks for replacing my spilled drink). Yes-get a reservation even during the week-they fill up fast! We were lucky to get seated. This was our 25th anniversary — returning to Telluride to celebrate

So this is eclectic, no pretense. A unique menu of food and drinks unlike any other place in town or around for that matter. A bit small and cozy, but if you can squeeze in definitely worth checking out. The service is personable and friendly. They guys there are very matter of fact, don’t come in expecting to doted on. If you have questions, they’ll help you, but please don’t make it a production. i.e. again, no pretense. This place caters to down to earth people in a town that has a lot of rich $$$ flying around. The food is really good! I had the steamed buns with soft shell crab and it was great! I was surprised given I normally wouldn’t order seafood in Colorado but they said they get shipments in regularly of fresh seafood. If you are staying in downtown Telluride, check it out! PS-A huge shoutout to There as I left my credit card by accident and they were kind enough to come over early in the morning when they weren’t open to get me it back before I went out of town. Huge relief! Major kudos to «There»!!! Thanks guys!!!

This place is excellent. The Kobe beef was the best steak we have had in telluride. Clam chowder with scallops was to die for. Steamed buns with spicey sauce was great. Drinks are great also my wife had a hot pepper jelly and vodka that was great I had saketinni that was excellent. We recommend this place over their New Sheridan any day.

If there was no star I would have checked it. So I show up around 10pm after an 8 hour drive and pull this place up. Walked in and was told by our server that no main dishes were available because of the time. He proceeded to walk me through the menu to show me what was available. We then ordered a lot of the food that was available. 10 minutes later another server comes over to let us know that the first guy shouldn’t have even offered food because of the time(even though they are open till 10:30) so he says but we can do the skewers that I had ordered so I ask him to just add more skewers so that our group has enough good, he says no they can’t do that… Night number two I decide to give it a shot for a couple drinks. I walk in get s seat at the bar they said was all good. Order a round and all seems well Then I order round two and start drinking when another guy that was not serving me comes up and says uh ya I’m not sure why that guy served you another beer because this spot is reserved in ten minutes… I proceed to tell him well get me my check and I will e outta here in 7 minutes. Reluctant night three I walk in just to grab a beer at the bar. The guy working near the door comes over to the bar and tells me they cannot serve me a beer because all the bar spots are reserved. I tell him no problem I am just gunna drink a beer standing and then hit the road. He tells me uh ya we don’t do that kind of thing… At the bar??? WTF I would not recommend this place to my dead dog! Really not sure how it stays in business with rude attitude all of them had. Good luck THERE I’m pretty sure your name will change to used to be there!

We went to There every single day we were in Telluride this past September. Funkyquirkycool atmosphere and food with the most delish jam cocktails ever. Pepper jelly and tequila? Yes. Yes, please. We ate there a bunch and also went just for drinks(and popcorn). I think we tried jut about everything on the menu. Our faves were the brussel sprouts, the steamed buns(yup, all of them), the elk lettuce wrap and the curried chicken one too. Mostly, though, this is the kind of place where you go and are happy: interesting drinks and food, things to share, and where you want to look around, check things out, and get to know the people at the next table or sitting next to you at the bar. Bonus points for the two bartenders who made special drinks for our tweens and made them feel… special. Thanks for that.

Cool, fun and truly unique in all ways. We loved the excellent staff and service! They get it. My husband and I often still crave the brussel sprouts and amazing potatoes with the egg on top. We NEED a There here on the Monterey Peninsula please!

What a unique and interesting restaurant! This place has a popcorn maker and they serve that to you when you sit down sort of like chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. There specializes in small plates like Bao Buns and meat skewers. They also serve shared plates that are meant for 2 people to share. We ordered the Kobe beef and Salmon skewers along with the shiitake mushroom and crispy duck Bao Buns. They were all excellent. We ordered a special shared plate that had calimari, eggplant strips and hummus. Everything we had was incredible and unique. Big ups to chef Richie!

We got into Telluride around 9 p.m. on a Wednesday. If you’ve been to Telluride in off season on a Wednesday, then you know that not much is open. Our hotel had recommended we go to Brown Dog Pizza, but we weren’t really feeling pizza, so thanks to Unilocal we found There. Because we were so late we didn’t have an issue finding a place to sit, and chose to sit at the bar. Right off the bat the bartenders and servers were super welcoming, giving us our waters and popcorn. The popcorn was delish! I ordered the smoked chicken bun and the date and cheese wrap(it doesn’t say it on the menu, but the cheese they use is gorgonzola). Both were delicious. My husband ordered the kobe beef and pork skewers, both were cooked to perfection. We also had the potato bravas, which were pretty interesting. They came served in a spicy garlic tomato sauce and were SUPER filling… like we were uncomfortable full… maybe share them with 4 people instead of 2 :) In addition to all the great food we topped the night off with some great local beers and one of the best manhattans I’ve had(I think it’s their sweet vermouth). They are opening a Denver location near Avanti F&B very soon, and I’m sure it’s going to be a hit!

You have to go There. There is quite possibly one of the most creative, unique, fun restaurants we’ve patronized. My husband got us a reservation(hint: you really do need a reservation — e-mail them, don’t call). Our servers/bartenders were awesome. O’Shane is the best. He made up cocktails for us, based on our liquor preferences. The staff genuinely seemed to love working here. It’s a small restaurant, maybe seats 20 – 25 people. It’s funky, hip, and cool. The menu consists of small bites, something I appreciate, as I don’t have a large appetite. I love sampling many different things. We had pork belly skewers, oysters, steamed buns, and scallops. Each bite was more amazing than the next. Truly fun restaurant. Check it out!

A really cool spot. We stopped in Telluride during our hiking trip. The whole staff was extremely friendly and fun to talk to. Be warned that the portions are EXTREMELYSMALL. When they say bites they mean bite. And that’s it. But everything we ordered was delicious. My favorite was the mushroom bun. Also the jam drinks were gross. Cool concept but I was not a fan. I suggest getting one to try but you’re better off going with one of their cocktails. Definitely a great spot if you ever stop by this gorgeous little town.
