World Class! Everything in this place is delectable, from the Benton bacon lettuce and tomato, to the wood fired pizza, to the herb flat bread, to the coconut cookies, to thecarrot muffins and the list goes on. Table sharing is expected and delightful and please don’t be in a hurry because you’ll just get unhappy and miss out on a wonderful experience. On a chilly day golean on the stone wall near the restrooms. It backs onthe oven and is pleasantly warm just like Tellico Grains

Delicious food, friendly people, this place is AMAZING! They are very accommodating to people with food allergies and offer several vegetarian options. I always get the roasted portobello sandwich, and each time I get it it’s better than before. You can also buy loaves of their bread made fresh daily. The desserts are out of this world, they have cinnamon rolls the size of your head! They also have an assortment of gourmet coffee and teas, as well as bottled herb blends they make in house. Its just a lovely place to share a meal with friends, meet interesting people passing through, or spend the afternoon reading one of the many books they keep for customers to borrow. If I could I would eat there every day. It has beautiful small-town vibe, with lots of hardwood and the wonderful smell of their brick oven stays with you after you leave.

This is a Hidden JEM of a Place. If you like Bread, you’ll LOVE this bakery. Everything that we’ve had here was amazing and we eat here anytime that we can drive close to this place! If you’re there in Sandwich hours, try the BBLT(Benton’s Bacon Lettuce and Tomato). It’s a grown up BLT on Fococcia bread and it’s AWESOME.

The sandwiches were great. Then we wanted one of the awesome looking brownies– it was hard as a rock. And I told the young girl at the register. She didn’t seem to care. Took it to the table. It was really hard as a rock — could hardly cut it with a knife –and very dry. I said $ 3.75 is to much to pay for this I am taking it back– I said honey. This is dry and as hard as a rock– I was going to ask if she had any that were fresher but she didn’t give me the chance she snapped well I’ll just give you your money back. So she did and as I was walking away she said Do you want another one I said no thank you. She needs to work some where else if she doesn’t care any more than that ab what the customer thinks. And brownies are supposed to be soft! Not rock hard

Totally worth the ride from Fontana Village across the Cherohala Skyway when we attend Miatas at the Gap! Never had a thing we didn’t like there. The pizza is totally the BOMB! Everything is fresh and made with love. While it is off the beaten path,(a reason why we happen to love it!) it’s a fantastic stop and the staff is just wonderful. Well worth the trip!

We stayed in Tellico Plains for 2 days and we ate here three times! It was that good! They have wonderful brioche pastries in the morning and awesome sandwiches at lunch. If you are lucky enough to be in Tellico Plains on a Saturday, they crank up the temp. in the wood fired oven and make awesome pizzas! My husband and I both can’t wait to go back next year.
Everything about this place is superior. It’s a pain in the butt to get to unless you live in Tellico Plains – but who cares? It’s worth it. 100% worth it. 1. Fantastic wood fired pizza on Saturdays from 11am-4pm. You can get any toppings you like. 2. To-die-for pastries – especially in the Autumn, when the owner makes pumpkin rolls!!! Thick, cream-cheese-filled pumpkin cake, rolled up and sliced into something that leaves you feeling like you’ve discovered your reason for living. 3. Order in and have a seat in the chalet/cabin like dining room. You might be sitting next to strangers because seating is limited. Or take your goodies to go. 4. They pretty much sell out daily, so whatever you order, you know it’s fresh! 5. This place is off the beaten path. If you’re in Knoxville, chances are nobody will know about this gem. But now you do. So go! Go! 6. If it’s Autumn(September ideally), save some time to drive along the Cherohala Skyway which is right nearby. The views are astounding! I promise you won’t regret it.

I was VERY impressed with this baker/restaurant! Some of the best wood-fired bread that I have ever tasted. The sourdough was wonderful. I actually bought a couple of loafs to take home. The owner was having a bad day or he is just a dick though. He was quite rude when we asked a question about toppings on a pizza. I can look past this one time, but if it is a continuing thing I will not keep going to this place. Anyway, back to the food. The sweet bakery was awesome! They definitely do things right as far as their recipes. I love the atmosphere inside as well. It is in an old bank so there is plenty of exposed brick and tons of character in the building. It is worth a drive down to tellico plains for this place. Make a day of it and go on the skyway or to bald river falls.

I got say,” This place is all right!” I heard a lot of good things about this place from some of the local motorcyclist. I have been wanting to stop in for quite some time. Finally I got my chance. Two of us dropped by there on a cool December afternoon. It was warm inside with the smell of fresh baked goodness. I had a wonderful ruben and my riding mate had what he called an outstanding roast beef sandwich. The food was good. The people were very friendly to us… As they usually are to us hard core bikers wearing textiles ATGATT and our mean looking sport-bikes parked out front. They even thanked us and told us to come back when we were leaving. Not many places thank you for your business these days. I will be back.

We’ve been twice and both times were fantastic. Great sandwiches at a decent price(I would gladly pay more. Shhhh… don’t tell the owners). Deserts are also out of this world. It’s family owned, all natural ingredients, and everything is baked fresh daily. I can’t wait to go again.

This is a beautiful gem. Great sandwiches and breads. The staff were exceptionally friendly and there was a small crowd sharing the indoor tables. The sign said they are closed on both Sunday and Mondays, so be aware of that if you’re in town.

I love this place! They have fresh baked bread, cinnamon rolls as big as a cats head. I meet with my friends for riding motorcycles and they come from all around the country to ride here. They came here the first time 4 years ago and they make me take them back here year after year. One of the best bakeries I have been to in my life, and I have been to many. They also make pizzas on Saturdays only from 11am to 4pm and I make it my priority to get one at least once a month if not more. I only live 17 miles from Tellico so it is easy to get there for me, I can almost guarantee you that you will not be disappointed going here for breakfast or an early brunch. They have tables to sit and eat inside and out. Did I say I love this place?

What a find in the Mountains! At the beginning — or end — of the Cherohala Skyway you can find many fantastic baked goods and sandwiches. The downtown square building is old and fine. The bakers are helpful and friendly. My favorite is their brownie which is huge and comes within a paper wrapper.
