I went here today with my grandma. Everything was delicious. I got the chicken cobb sandwich which was great, and my grandma had the chicken salad sandwich, which she loved and looked very good. It had large chunks of moist chicken and was a large portion. The apple slaw was also great. I had been afraid that it would be too sweet with all the fruit in it, but it wasn’t at all. We both loved our teas as well. I got scones, and I can’t wait to try them when I get home. I only wish I lived in state so I could visit more often. Yum!

Such a quaint little place! I recently attended a bridal shower here and had no idea they do parties above the tea room. It was so cute & well done. Rochelle Bird did an amazing job with our large group. I had the Spinach Quiche & their to die for Apple Slaw it was amazing as always! The tea they served was also very tasty. I would highly recommend them for your next tea or luncheon!

Our favorite lunch place. Perfect for girls and moms to have a lunch date and tea party. They’ll put lemonade in a tea pot for the little ones. A great kids menu and unique homemade lunch menu.

This is a cute and well maintained store in downtown Tecumseh. I loved everything about it. We had friendly and fast service. The tea selection is diverse and huge. I was very impressed. The lunch was legit. I loved the veggie wrap. I would love to hang out here and I would if I lived here

I love coming here! They have so many tea options to choose from! And their food is excellent. I had some sort of veggie wrap one time that was so delicious. I would give it five stars but one thing I noticed is the way they seem to treat younger crowds. I didn’t feel welcomed a couple times and I thought maybe it was because I looked young. It was sad because I am in love with this place, it’s so cute inside! It’s a nice place, I wouldn’t recommend coming in wearing sweatpants or anything like that. It’s a great place to take parents and grandparents to! They have the cutest tea cups and tea pots!!!

Yummy pastries!!! They have a wide variety of yummy teas and it is a very neat little shop. The prices are a little high but not too bad. I went in the afternoon and they didn’t have lunch anymore which was a bummer but their afternoon tea was amazing!!!

This was my first visit to Tecumseh and I was delighted to find this wonderful tea room. I had already eaten in town and was looking for a little treat; the whole place was a treat. The waitperson had been working there for 10 years and had been born in England. Great accent, great service. The warm scones were scrumptious. I even took a piece of carrot cake to go. I live in Plymouth, Mi so I am familiar with good tea rooms. The British Pantry ranks up there on service, authenticity and fresh food.

I had never been a fan of scones until I had the scones at British Pantry. They are amazing, moist and delicious. You can get scones to take home and just pop them in the oven for a few minutes; they are just as amazing. Along with the delicious scones, the food is wonderful. I have loved everything I have tried; delicious sandwiches, wonderful soups, and my favorite slaw. Do not forget dessert, even if you have to take it with you. The service is wonderful, everyone is very friendly, helpful, and know their teas. Not only do they have a nice selection of teas, but beautiful tea pots and accessories, gifts, and British foods. I have brought many friends to the British Pantry, each has loved the experience. Some of my non-scone-loving friends to sample these scones and converted them to scone-lovers, but only the Pantry’s scones. This is the place to go for a lovely lunch, some tea and scones, and wonderful atmosphere.

I love coming here for tea with my grandmother or mother — it is classy, relaxing, and just a lovely time! + Loose leaf tea served in beautiful cups & saucers + Loose leaf tea sold here by the weight + Supporting local business + Friendly servers and kitchen staff + Beautiful, classy ambience + Delicious salads!(Love the house salad or the spinach salad!) + Must order the scones with cream & jam! Sooo yummy! I really love this place — it is a special place to come and have tea, dessert, and good conversation with family or friends!

I really love the Tea Pantry. The products are nice and they’re mostly what you would expect in a tea shop. They sell pots, cups, sets, and other tea accoutrement in addition to various loose teas. They also sell imported British food items like Jaffa Cakes, Walnut Whips, Fruit Gums, Bisto, scone mixes, and more. They used to have a frozen foods option with things like bangers and pies, but I don’t recall seeing it on my last visit. The real draw is the small restaurant within the shop, which serves not only delicious British meals but also a proper cream tea with yummy scones, double cream, and a huge list of teas from which to choose. Craving a Ploughman’s? They have that too, though with more American style cheddar than the well-aged crumbly British sort. They offer pasties, pork pies, shepherd’s pie, and other hot food items as well. The only trick is to check your watch; lunch service becomes tea service sometime around 3pm and tea isn’t held on Sunday. Oh, and you won’t find tea bags here. Loose tea, in a pot, with a strainer. Lovely. Definitely check out the dessert list. They have seriously good sweets. The prices are very reasonable, particularly for the restaurant, and I really enjoy the friendliness of the staff.
