Good food but wait is way too long

I found the noodles were over cooked and there wasn’t enough flavor to the dish I and my friends ordered. The fish and chips are ok but they don’t offer any vinegar. Never tried the sushi because I saw the fish on display. They probably have good dishes but I’ve always thought that being kosher is not enough anymore

The staff tries hard, but the quality of the food is really iffy. Soup is always way too salty, the portion size of the noodles is really big, but the toppings are very skimpy. It’s more like a big bowl of noodles with a little garnish. The sauces are thick and usually overpowering, often too sweet. This is not the place for subtlety. Sushi has been OK. Sometimes good, often sloppy. The staff is friendly and tries to be helpful. However, when staff has homework and books spread on the counter or is deeply engaged in their cell phones, and someone is doing store orders on a cell phone and managing the business at a desktop at one of the tables a few feet from where diners are trying to eat, the atmosphere doesn’t shout out, «come right in, we’re here to serve you, relax and have a great meal!» I guess that kind of thing is OK for take-out. It’s less conducive for a sit-down.

First I decided to try udon noodle soup. Soup consisted of mix of fresh mushrooms, half-frozen noodles and warm water. Tasted awful. Who puts fresh mushrooms in udon soup? Is this new Teaneck/Asian cousine? I returned it and asked for a dragon roll instead. The roll came with spicy tuna. I’ve had many dragon rolls before and they don’t have spicy tuna!!! Enough with a Teaneck/Asian fusion for me. Stay away from this place. It’s kosher, but tastes like s. t

Tried to go here twice on a Saturday night. Both times it has been closed. What the hell?!

The sushi is so good. Whenever I go there I love to get the Mediterranean roll or the kani monster all of their noodles are so great but my favorite are the wild mushroom noodles. The staff are super friendly and whenever you go inside they’ll make you feel like a superstar

Meh, this place is not very good. I tried this for take out one day at work and it was nothing special at all. The California rolls were fairly good, but everything else wasn’t that tasty. I can’t remark on their service since it was take out, but the taste wasn’t sufficient to want to ever come back.

The noodles are overcooked and lack flavor. The miso is the strangest tasting I’ve ever had and has everything except tofu. I ordered a make-your-own noodle bowl and had to send it back three times because they put the wrong ingredients in. The sushi is sloppy and the fish doesn’t taste or look fresh. This place is good for a quick snack if you’re in a hurry but if you’re looking for a real meal, try someplace else.

I like the idea of a Kosher sushi place but the sushi here is just alright. When my friends and I stopped by to try out their special rolls, they didn’t make them the right way(I guess that they ran out of some special sauce or they just forgot). It’s really pricey here. I understand that it’s Kosher but it’s def not worth the price. Parking’s a bit of a pain but that’s downtown Teaneck for you. Also the tables and chairs are kinda cheap and flimsy. Best get your order to go or make the trek to one of the Maguro Sushi locations in Bergen County.

Ate there yesterday and I def enjoyed it! Food was great and the girl behind the counter was super nice and helpful! Loved the albums as decoration as well. We ordered a few diff rolls, sashimi and the pad Thai noodle bowl. Huge fan of Philadelphia rolls and they don’t put too much cream cheese in so I would ask for extra. Sashimi was amazing! And the pad Thai noodles were really tasty!!! Only downfall is they use an outside delivery service so the fee is high. Was $ 9 to my house 2 towns(10 mins) away and that doesn’t include tip. Will def eat in or pick it up!

One word… AWFUL. –The spicy tuna in all 3 rolls we ordered was literally gray with a pinkish tint and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. –Our pad thai dish was a bowl of mush, and we always say taste over looks but even the taste was terrible. Literally like goo with a dash of peanut and bean sprout. –Our Philly roll had almost no cream cheese in it, it was all cucumber, some below average salmon, and a spec of cream cheese. We were still hopeful after each disappointment, but this was my first time ever where everything we ordered was this bad.

Good food, a little too salty for my taste, but pleasant service, clean area, and decent flavor with fresh tasting food. I will definitely return!

This was my first time at Rock n Roll sushi and it was an excellent experience! Great food, customer service and atmosphere! The staff was very friendly and attentive to their customers. We started off with the sushi Bön Bons and the Spicy sushi pizza. Both had just enough flavoring without over powering the salt(which tends to happen at sushi restaurants). Next we had the Caribbean Dream(the mango really makes this roll), Nutty tuna and yellow tail sashimi. All tasted very fresh(esp the sashimi) with an excellent combination of ingredients per roll. Highly recommend them! We were too full for the noodle bar, but will definitely check it out in the near future.

I am looking at the $ 75 dinner my husband ordered for delivery and I am sad. I think his big mistake was ordering despite the $ 10 delivery fee(which you only find out about when you call. It’s not printed on the menu). From Teaneck to Ridgefield Park. Really? What does that work out to, $ 2.50/mile? I would’ve stopped right there and said bye bye. But as some sort of consolation, the person on the phone said the tip is included in the fee. I thought tips were voluntary and not coerced out of a customer like that? We are often generous tippers but this is off-putting. We have the fish platter — around 50 pieces of salmon, tuna, and crab rolls. It was good but more variety is needed. The wild mushroom noodles are salty and oily. Forget about the Pad Thai. Very bland with overcooked mushy noodles. Such a shame to spend all this money on so-so food. The only upside is the delivery guy. He was friendly and apologetic about the 1.5 hour it took to deliver the food from Teaneck to Ridgefield Park. Then again, maybe they were busy making the fish platter? But still, don’t promise you can deliver in half an hour when you can’t.

Ok, I’ve been here a few more times since my initial review. The place hit it’s stride. The food is excellent, the staff helpful with a GOOD attitude(rare in these parts). The store was clean and the prices good. They seem to have either hired more staff or rearranged the hours to get more people helping at peak hours. I was there at peak(dinner Sundays) and non-peak(early weekday). Everything worked. Bravo! I hope you are here for many years.
