What a wonderful family run restaurant tucked away on the outskirts of Downtown Salt Lake City. The cuisine is Southern Italian. It has the freshest spinach artichoke dip and manicotti that I have had in ages! The staff are friendly and inviting. I felt like family on my first visit. I will be back my next trip.

It’s pretty good there is a decent sized menu. The service was slow and there was only 3 couples in there with us. They have a decent spinach artichoke dip. The food could have used a tad more flavor. Manicotti was the blandest part of my meal sadly. Zeti was good especially the sausage.

Great east coast-style Italian spot. Good service, nice wine/beer menus, and fair prices.

An unexpected find in a strange location. Be brave if you enjoy very well prepared delicious and satisfying food. Ordered the Osso Bucco, pork shank over fettuccine with a spicy ragu. BF had the lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo also nicely flavorful. Chocolate mouse with egg whites not gelatin… best I’ve had in years. About me… love good food not pretense.

First time trying this place tonight. It’s a small restaurant and not located is a busy area. The staff was really friendly and offered up get suggestions of food to try. We decided to go with the combinations so we could try a few different items. The lasagna was excellent as were the meatballs. Although I did feel the spaghetti needed a little more sauce. We also tried the chicken Parmesan, which was pretty good. Definitely will be visiting this place again

I had the new york strip with cheese prosciutto. Not that impressive. The cheesy garlic bread was pretty good, though. We went on a Friday at 6:30 and waited about an hour for our food. I’m anxious to return and try their sweet potato gnocchi.

Had good service and the food came quickly. The calamari was tiny… should have been popcorn calamari… but it was good. My son’s curly fries were good. Other than that, the sausage and meatballs were hard as if they were old and the rest of our food was just not very tasty. Not worth the money.

This place is great! I’ve been there 3 – 4 times, each time I’ve enjoyed what I’ve ordered, the service has been above par. if the owners had been there they took the time to come introduce themselves, make sure everyone was enjoying, entertained us a bit, and even asked if there were anything they could improve. The food is heavy so come hungry! The portion sizes are plentiful to share and still have leftovers. The only reason I don’t give this place the full 5 stars is because its extremely caloric and a bit greasy. Great americanized Italian comfort food for sure. I’d highly recommend … As long as you’re hungry, hungover, have worked out and plan to again!

If you love Olive Garden you’re gonna hate this place! No rewarmed breadsticks or sauces flown in frozen from headquarters here! All fresh made to order Italian dishes at Siragusas. The menu was a great mix of traditional standards & recipes you may have never heard of. We ordered both & found them to be outstanding. We came to Siragusas on a Sunday afternoon. There was no wait & we were seated immediately. The dining room & restrooms(preschooler in tow = immediate restroom visit) were very clean. The old school Italian music playing in the background was a wonderful choice. We ordered the sweet potato Gnocchi as an app. It was delicious. Flavorful & comforting. The Gorgonzola sauce was perfect. Flavorful but not over powering. Based on servers recommendation, I ordered the chicken parm«Bernie style». It was easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. So rich & creamy. I shouldn’t have eaten so much– but I couldn’t help myself. Hubs ordered a special steak(I don’t recall the name) & found it to be excellent & perfectly cooked. We ordered canolli & tiramisu for desert. Both were delicious. Overall, I believe this causal, family friendly eatery to be one most authentic Italian in the Valley. Blows all Italian chains out of the water.

We had the deep-fried lasagna«bernie-style,» the steak marsala, the veal provencale, the penne rustica, the sweet potato gnocchi. The penne rustic and the gnocchi got two thumbs up, everything else was good, but not crowing good. The lasagna was kind of dry with hardly any marinara. I would visit again for the gnocci and the penne rustica. And had that been my dish, this would have been 4 star.

Excellent Food! I rarely give reviews, but this place has very authentic Italian to die for. Chicken Parm, Sweet Potato Gnocchi are awesome! Don’t forget the cannolli, never had a better in my life. It’s in a hole in the wall spot but well worth going.

Had dinner here last night with our family of 7. The gnocchi, bruschetta and mozzarella sticks appetizers were delicious. We all really enjoyed our dinners also, of scampi, osso buco, lasagne, ravioli, angel air and meatballs. All the house wines were good, and the service was great. We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner here, and would love to come back if we lived in Utah.

Came with a large party and they picked this place so I thought I would give it a 2nd shot for the title. Some things were really good, loved the garlic bread and the salad dressing to dip the bread in. The cappellini with pesto angel hair was pretty good. I think I am just too picky on Italian places.

Only 4 stars because they seemed to be really understaffed. Service was so so, they had 2 huge parties and only 2 servers so maybe that’s why, but the food! That was AMAZING. We tried the trio appetizer– spinach artichoke dip, Calamari and fried mozzarella. All were very good! Dip just needs some more bread to dip into it. They have fried lasagna on their secret menu, it’s their lasagna deep fried served over fettuccine Alfredo with garlic bread. That was AMAZING! my husband could not get enough. I got the manicotti it was very yummy! Kids got the macaroni and cheese bites, and fettuccine Alfredo. They loved everything. So glad this place was in the was arch savings book we’ll definitely be back!

Went here for dinner after looking for an Italian place nearby. Their tortellini, gnocchi, and alfredo pastas were all delicious and worth every bite. We’ll definitely come back for the food. The desserts we had were a bit underwhelming and not worth the try, sadly.

I came here for lunch since I was seriously craving spaghetti and meatballs. Their lunch special is a house salad, garlic bread and half portion of their dinner plates. Service is great and the restaurant is pretty clean. Maybe I’m just greedy because I’m still a little hungry after eating pasta, but I don’t think there was a enough food for lunch. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and it was ok. This is also my first time ordering spaghetti and meatballs because I was too lazy to cook. It tastes like any other spaghetti and meatballs and doesn’t stand out much. The garlic bread is big and very yummy! Definitely get that with any of your dishes.

Blame it on Siragusa, now I have a new addiction — Sweet Potato Gnocchi. Omg they are delicious. They are like these playful little chewy dumplings with an extremely cute name. I mean, try saying Gnocchi(Nyoh-kee) with a straight face. I have not eaten much gnocchi to effectively compare but I do know that I want to order this again next time. I ordered the gnocchi as part of the Combination Plate, which I think is a good deal. The companion dish I chose was Manicotti, which is kind of like lasagna but served without meat here. I read somewhere before that Manicotti is actually an Italian American dish, so this is not exactly ‘Taste of Italy’ but I like it nevertheless. It is delicious, and most importantly not too cheesy as what I always found with many lasagnas I have tasted. I suspect the spinach plays an important role to make the overall taste ‘balanced’. I did taste the Chicken Cacciatore, which is slices of grilled chicken in spicy tomato sauce, served over linguine. I found this dish a bit flat, I tasted tomatoes and little of everything else, so I didn’t get too excited over it. The chicken does appear juicy and the linguine cooked perfectly but I wish this dish has more taste to it. I recommend this place if you want good Italian food, but probably not in too big of a group. I went there in a group of about 20 and it took long to get our orders. The server said it is because they make every orders fresh, which is good but the amount of waiting is part of a perfect meal. The server also struggled to remember our orders, but I gave her a slack because it is challenging to serve that many people all by herself. Probably good for the place to consider assigning more than one server to make everything smoother. I hope to be back soon.

This is a really legit place for Italian food. Everything we’ve ordered today was made fresh and not really frozen. When walking into this place it is a totally different feel from outside. It is located in a weird area. The food here was fantastic. It took them a little while to get the food out to us but that is probably because we had such a large group. I ordered their combo plate where you get two half of an order… I got the lasagna and angel hair pasta in pesto sauce(I forgot the name). The lasagna was average, but the pasta in pesto sauce was fantastic!!! I would totally recommend this place esp to go on dates. The price isn’t that much as well.

1 word 2 syllables Gnocchi=(NYOH-KEE) How did that work out? Similar to how the word gnocchi looks alien to the actual pronunciation, the exterior of Siragusas in Taylorsville does not accurately portray the excellent food that they provide. I came here with a group a five for a friend’s birthday and made reservations in advance just in case. Everybody came at different times and our server checked on our table consistently until everyone finally arrived. I ordered the sweet potato gnocchi and my oh my, it reminded me of korean rice cake dumplings but an Italian version – a creamy sauce with mushrooms and spinach. I was so mesmerized by the chewy soft texture and the rich buttery flavor that before I knew it, everything was gone and I FORGOT to take a picture. Now that truly says something about how great the dish was!!! But no worries, I’ll be back to post one up :) 4 stars for their friendly service, my friends all enjoyed their dishes, and mainly the NYOH-KEE! –Sailor out
