We love the lo-mein. It is the best I’ve ever had. We also like the coconut shrimp and General Tso chicken.

Super cheap Americanized Chinese food that’s much healthier and fresher than most American Chinese alternatives, such as ABC Chinese, Little World, and Panda Express. They have $ 4.55 lunch deals and $ 6.75 dinner deals that come with fried ham rice, soup, and an eggroll. Portions are perfect, and it’s so affordable! They also have a Chinese meny if you’re hoping for a more authentic option. The list is limited to one page and seems more Chinese wedding style, but it’s not bad. I’ve tried the BBQ pork wonton soup which tasted very homemade and healthy. It reminded me of home cooking and hit the spot for this winter weather. The wontons were lacking in meat and tasted older though. Their sweet and sour chicken seems to be the thing most people here love. It’s also very fresh and unique compared to most places. They batter an entire chicken filet, fry it whole, cut it into strips, and slather sauce over it, so its not like deep fried balls of chicken most places have. I prefer Pearl’s way since it keeps the texture crispier and enjoy this visual presentation more. Their egg drop soup isn’t flavorful but it’s nice and thick with adequate starch and egg. Overall, I see the appeal here and would stop by if I’m driving by and am hungry or just aiming for something cheap.

The beef and broccoli was more broccoli than anything, and as another reviewer mentioned the Hot & Sour soup takes very reminiscent of vinegar. I liked their orange chicken though, and the potstickers are very good.

Not too bad; hard enough to find decent Chinese food on a Sunday. My favorite dish is Walnut Shrimp, and every place has their own variation; not a big fan of their variation. Also some of the food was too tough in the Bu bu platter. More than likely won’t go back unless I’m desperate.

Since I live down the street from here my fiancé and I wanted to try this place out. After reading all the good reviews. Sadly our experience wasn’t the best. We ordered the chefs special seafood which was a variety of deep fried seafood.(Squid, shrimp, and scalliops.) It came with a «special sauce» which was just chili oil. We opened our box and wasn’t happy with the portion they gave us. Where was the rest of our food??? Definitely not worth $ 10! We also got the hot and sour soup. I don’t know if it was just that day but the soup was the worst I’ve ever had. I felt like I was drinking vinager. I won’t be coming here again.

Love Pearl Express! Best Chinese I’ve had in Utah hands down. The restaurant is not huge and the service can be slow depending on how busy they are, but they are always efficient and get the orders right. The prices here are super affordable especially if you can make it in for lunch specials.

Pearl express has the best Chinese food in taylorsville. My work is very close to here so I eat it for lunch a lot. Any time I want it for dinner I make the drive from midvale without even thinking about stopping at one of the many other restaurants I pass on the way

I tried their food the first time with my family. I was kind of skeptic at first but later i was surprised on how good the food were. If you have been to hoho gourmet or golden dragon, the cooking style is very similar. My kids favorite is the shrimp ball tofu, house pan fried noodles and salt baked pork. I will try other menu next time. I am giving it a five star because it is good, affordable and close to our home. We usually have to drive farther to get decent Chinese food. Enjoy!

Its really a hidden gem in the west Jordan area. I’ve been going here over the last 8 years and their food is still the same. Its pretty good. Their lunch special are always so affordable. For under $ 7 you can get a pretty decent meal. Also ask for the Chinese menu. It’s not necessary in Chinese but you can get the more authentic dishes like the shrimp cake and tofu. Overall good value and better than average Chinese food.

Son and I went because of the Unilocal reviews. Lunchtime on a Friday. They were busy, and we found out why. Our meals cost a grand total, with tax, $ 10.45 for two people. We were stuffed on great food at great portions. Everything under $ 5 at lunch. We will be back!

Super delicious food. We ordered the family dinner A for 4 people. Portions were big. General Tsos chicken was the favorite. The egg drop soup was delicious. I really liked the sweet and sour pork too. I’m looking forward to trying some more things on the menu.

Stopped in for take out. We have driven by so many times and finally made it a point to try their food. My friend had the house pan fried noodles. She really enjoyed this dish. I tasted it and thought it was pretty good. I’m a garlic sauce junkie; the spicy, garlicky kick always gets me. However, they only had this option with beef. They were kind enough to do Veggies and tofu in their garlic sauce. I would say the sauce was not my fave. It was salty and tasted mostly of dark soy. The veggies were definitely not present basically given tofu and bamboo shoots. I did like the service and would love to try some other options next time. Thinking ill branch out and try some of the chefs favorites in the future.

The food is good for a good price. I came with some friends and we were pleasantly surprised, seeing as it doesn’t tlook like a lot from the outside. If you come for dinner, the Hong Kong steak and the 5 spice pork are both really good, and I would recommend it to anyone who goes.

This is a cute little place with friendly service and good food. I came here on New Year’s Day with a bunch of hungover friends. We were pleasantly surprised that the place was open, and that other people were there that early in the morning. It was probably noon, but that’s early for someone who partied all night. We sat ourselves, and our waitress was out to greet us almost immediately. She was adorable and very friendly. We all had a lot of questions, and she was very helpful and willing to answer us. I ended up ordering the Buddha supreme(or something similar) which was tofu, noodles, and some of the best damn rice that I have EVER had. The tofu tasted kinda funny, which is what knocked this review down to four stars. It was still delicious, it just didn’t have that standard tofu flavor that I am accustomed to. Everything else was amazing, and all my friends agreed. The best thing about this place is the prices. You can get a huge meal that will keep you full all day for about $ 5!

I’ve been going to a bunch of Chinese restaurants all over town. And I have to say the food here was just as good or better than any other place. But the price here is the cheapest I’ve seen. A lunch special is 4.75! It comes with soup, fried rice and an egg roll. The main entrée was plentiful, my only complaint is that he didn’t give enough rice. But he made up for it in the large portion of the main entrée. I give the food 4 stars and the price 5 stars. May pearl express stay open forever!
