I ordered my sign April 28th and still have not received it. They sent me an email saying its shipped each week since the second week of May. Since today, August 12th2015, I have yet to receive my sign and they won’t refund my money or respond to any emails. As a business owner I’m so disappointed in a business treating hard working people this way. Be warned. DONOTPURCHASEFROMTHISCOMPANY. ITS A SCAM…

I’m not sure if they are attempting to cover up bad reviews on their other page, but I am posting both places so that customers see real reviews from real people. I hate to even give this«business» one star. My husband ordered a customized, but very simple, Library Sign from Emmanuel at Create Your Wood Sign. This was a gift for my birthday, and he was very excited to surprise me with it for my reading nook. My husband was very thorough with his order, and has a long thread of email exchanges between himself and Emmanuel. There was no lack of detail as to what my husband was requesting(a blue, distressed sign with my name on the front, and my birthdate on the back). The small sign ordered ended up costing my husband $ 100, and would have been even more if he hadn’t requested the smallest size with a simple design. We received and opened the sign this week — my birthday present! — and both of us were appalled at the appearance and quality of the sign. The custom shape of the sign was poorly done, the distressed quality was merely one coat of paint slapped on with the sides roughly sanded down to the natural wood, there was a big dark smudge in the middle of the sign with clear paint markings over it where someone had tried to cover it up, and no birthdate or name on the back of the sign as my husband had requested. For this item, my husband paid $ 100 + $ 30 shipping! My husband immediately reached out to Create Your Wood Sign via telephone, and received no return calls. He then emailed Emmanuel, the employee he had originally dealt with, and received immediate responses(so obviously someone handles customer requests, they just don’t pick up the phone). All of the replies from Emmanuel were unhelpful, and the further my husband tried to explain his dissatisfaction, the more insulting Emmanuel became. When my husband mentioned we have some experience distressing items, and felt the sign was poorly done, Emmanuel tacked a PS on his follow up email, saying, «try do do one sign by yourself… and you will see that it is not as easy as its looks.» Insulting and also bad spelling/grammar(not pertinent to customer service, but I just felt like pointing it out). He dismissed the three example pictures my husband sent, stating they were exactly how the product should look, and didn’t address the smudge in the picture or the poor distressing. All of his follow up emails refused to take any responsibility for the satisfaction of his customer(see email copy below) or the poor quality of the product. After a total of a few email exchanges, Emmanuel told my husband that he would no longer give his emails any attention as «he didn’t have the time for this.» My husband tried calling again multiple times, and again the phones were not answered. This«business» is a sham. They charge top dollar for their signs, and then leave you with absolutely no recourse or help should you receive a sub-par product. I have ordered many custom or handmade products from Etsy and other small businesses over the years, and have always had great experiences. Create Your Wood Sign and Emmanuel are hands-down the worst and most offensive experience I’ve had with a «business.» A supreme waste of money, and I still don’t have a birthday gift because the product is so shoddy I refuse to hang it on my wall. What a depressing, frustrating experience! I will be posting this negative review everywhere I can, as well as contacting the Better Business Bureau. I may never see a dime back from this place, but I will feel better if I can let one person know to avoid purchasing any items from Create Your Wood Sign or Emmanuel! Avoid this«business» and take your money somewhere else where you will receive what was advertised, and also have access to quality customer service!

Ordered my two signs on 10÷16÷13 with a promise ship date within three weeks. Recieved my signs SIX weeks later. NOT happy with delivery time OR the signs. One was great and the other was WAYOFFCENTER. Emmanuel asked me if I approved the draft the company had originally drawn up(as a way to imply that I was somehow responsible) I told him that I did in fact approve the draft — but if HE were to order a sign — would he not expect the letters to be in the CENTER of the sign? He did agree on 12÷5÷13 to make a new sign and because of the Christmas rush, to expect the sign sometime around the first week of January 2014. I have sent TWO e-mails(one on 1÷11÷14 and another on 1÷15÷14) inquiring on the status of my new sign with NORESPONSE. Who would treat a customer in this manner? DONOT — I repeat — DONOT order anything from this company !!!

The product I received was ok but the time I waited to get it was not satisfactory to me. I ordered it and paid for it on 8−23−13 and finally received it on 9−28−13, I was told it would be sooner.

I ordered a sign from this company on 6÷13÷2013. was charged for this sign on 6÷13÷2013. received order confirmation for order on 6÷13÷2013(automated order confirmation) it is now 7÷5÷2013. I have called support number listed on website, as well as emailed countless times. all to no avail. my final email 5 days ago requested someone provide an update on my order within 5 days(today) or I will be forced to report as fraud. Well, it has been 5 days since the final email. and ZERO response. so, I am a man of my word. will provide another update if/when any action is taken. Sadly, at this point even if I received the product for which I paid for, I still would not be able to change my review. So, ask your self this question before ordering from this company, «Do I want to receive the product I order?» if you do, do NOT order from this company. Please feel free to contact me should you feel I am somehow wrong in my review.
