The food was good until I got hair in my food 2⁄3 times I ate there. The first time I let it slide because it happens. But when I get hair in my food a second time, that’s uncalled for. Gross. Never went back. Oh and that’s probably why they are closed now. Ha

Great sandwich. Gyro meat is shaved not frozen. Clean and friendly. Smaller basic menu which tells you it’s girly quality food.

I have only been here once but I would advise against getting a shrimp dish. The shrimp was gross. I couldnt even eat it. But i suppose thats what i get for not ordering a Greek dish. I will say the Greek salad was very good though.

Was looking for some Greek food and found this place. Omg! The lamb and rice is fabulous the lamb was so tender. The red sauce was so tasty the spinach pie was off the chain.

Honestly, one of the best restaurants downriver. It was clean and not a shabby place. Went with family on a Friday night, there was no wait and a live band was warming up to play. The owner was very friendly and helpful with explaining some of the dishes to us. I will return.

This place is pretty great. The food is delicious. I always go with a couple people and we always order a couple saganaki, which are delish. I usually order the veggie wrap which is SO flavorful! I’ve also ordered the spinach pies and they also taste great. I don’t think I’ve tasted one thing there that isn’t pretty tasty. I’ve only gone in on Friday’s and the owner is usually there and always comes around to the tables to ask how everyone is and listens to us if/​when we have something to tell him. All of the waitresses are really friendly too and never rush us when we stay there for a few hours. This place is definitely worth going to. Great food, drinks and music on some nights: they have it all.

Food consistently INCONSISTENT. One cook will give long shaves of the gyros meat with tomato slice cut in half and slices of onion, the other cook dices EVERYTHING. meat, onions and tomatoes up. That really causes the gyro meat to DRY OUT, and turns the taste in to old tomatoes. Please tell the cook who butchers everything to death to stop!!! Prices are so/​so when food is good… way over priced when your paying for jerky! Sorry owners. these are things customers look for. Also told by the bartender they do their own reviews on Unilocal.How desperate!

I thought this place was just OK. I took my mom here for her birthday and we both ordered a Greek dinner. I ordered the pastitsio and she had the mousakka. I was surprised that neither meal came with anything (especially for $ 13!). Every Greek place I’ve been to, they at least give you a potato or bread basket with your meal. The food itself was pretty good but I’d say it was overpriced.

This is an amazing restaurant! The food is so authentic and crazy delicious, and you can totally tell the owner takes pride in his menu and restaurant. What a diamond in the rough, I only wish more people knew about this place! They need to get some better signage in the road, as it’s easy to drive right past this place.
Went for lunch yesterday and got the gyro which was more than one step above your typical diner/​coney gyro. Saganaki was awesome, spinach pies were the best I’ve ever had, and even got a Spanish coffee… yum! Can’t wait to go back! Oh wait, I’m going back again today. Sweeeet.

What a great downriver find. 2nd time there and once again the food was awesome. 8 of us attended and they were busy! One of the owners got us seated in a private back area and we were not disappointed. Gyro, Hummus, Scordalia, Saganaki and pita better than Greektown to say the least. Try the village salad with lamb and rice plate and OMG! Wife had the Gyro X’s 2 now and was not dissapointed. Good for family’s or just a night out for a economical dinner. Will be back often, and if you get a chance please say high to Louie and staff they are the best.

Ate here for a girls’ dinner out and loved it. The saganaki was amazing. Service was super friendly, and everyone loved their meals. Only thing I can give a thumbs down to is the lobster in my meal was imitation, however, I would not expect the real deal for the price I paid. Anyway, highly recommend, a great addition to downriver.

We’ve eaten there 4 times now. First we had the gyros. superb! Next time we had salads. very large, extremely fresh, loved the Village Salad, no lettuce, all the goodies tossed with with tzatziki sauce. OMG! Last night we had the lamb chops… the best ever! The potatoes were cooked to perfection and the green beans delicious! So glad to have a nice place with great food. Plans for expansion, include a patio etc. Stay tuned. this place is here to stay!

Pretty good food. I got w gyro and it was delicious. My boyfriend and his step mom ordered the Ruben which was stacked with thick corned beef. Though they forgot to put kraut and 1000 island on the sandwiches but that was an easy fix. The sandwiches were so good it was easy to ignore mistakes. The fries were great, fresh and crispy. The saganaki was very good but there was not much of it. Defiantly not enough to split between four people. Maybe three people but not four. We got there right when they opened so they were not busy so I can not review how fast the service is seeings how we were the only ones in there. I do plan on going back.

5 star all the way!!! Best Greek food that we have eaten in years. Everything is fresh. Best Greek salad we have ever had. Excellent Calamari, along with the perfect Spanakopitakia. The Mousakas was, should I say, to die for! Nikos might be new, but they serve Greek food like they have been doing it for years. Absolutely the best food downriver! Can’t wait to go back!
