Lazy Boy Customer Care is NOT by any means customer service. Completely and absolutely appalled by this company. My father’s motorized lift recliner stopped working at the end of June. Called for service on July 9th(the same day, Lazy Boy charged his credit card for the service call(they will not even schedule the service call without the credit card) BEFORE the«tech» even came out to look at the chair. He then determined it needed a part, that supposedly he ordered to the house address. Said that it would be 3 – 5 days, then left saying my parents could install it.(My father is 83. And, obviously, needs a «lift chair», so should NOTBE repairing his own chair, especially since he PRE-PAID for them to fix it). Nice job, Lazy Boy. Needless to say that the part never came, his chair still is not working and continual requests to the outsourcing branches of Lazy Boy have led to: «sent to the wrong address» «order went out today» 8÷6÷15, then«order went out today– should be there by 8÷28» on 8⁄19 — then finding out the order had not even shipped after the original«wrong address» snafu. The LB company should OVERNIGHT the part, refund the service call $ and get the«tech» there immediately, which, they will not do, and will not follow through at all. There is no way to contact them directly, no email, no rep that has a conscience. I hope that anyone considering LB will go elsewhere. We will NEVER buy a LB product again.

La-Z-Boy furniture post: We purchased our«Lazy Boy» furniture in 1995 at the store in Sterling Heights which ended up closing, they now have a location in Troy, Michigan. One of the reclining mechanisms broke on the couch about 2 years ago(love seat and chair have been fine) and after verifying our purchase, Lazy Boy sent us a replacement part at no charge. We installed it and everything works fine. The couch also has a fold down table, which cracked when someone leaned on the center of it a little too hard. The crack was really not noticeable, but after spilling water on the table and watching it go down into the couch,(now 19 years years old) they were nice enough to send me a replacement table top. My family room furniture has held up wonderfully! Material still looks great after raising our kids and 3 large playful dogs! I have many friends that have replaced their furniture twice, while our La-Z-Boy furniture is still going strong! Great Company and Great Customer Service! We paid a little more than at the other area stores but it was money well spent!
