Whie I REALLY like my hairstylist and the way she colors and cuts my hair I feel a little put off when other services are pushed. I know they have tanning, nails, waxing, etc. I don’t tan, wax or get my nails done. Hmmmm, maybe I should!

My husband and I both received massages at this salon. The masseuse was very pleasant, but she chatted throughout the entire process. I hate to be rude and ask for silence, but this just seems like a given to me. Unfortunately, this is the second massage I’ve had in Cincinnati, and the second time the masseuse has talked throughout the entire thing. Why is this? To make matters worse, they are now constantly spamming my email account with specials and deals. There is no way to unsubscribe, and they put EVERYONE’S email addresses in the«to» line, so first names, last names, and email addresses are visible to everyone on the list. I replied requesting they unsubscribe me and mentioned they may want to at least BCC everyone(a bulk mailer would be more professional). They finally hid email addresses, but I am still receiving the same annoying email over and over again. While everyone who worked there was very nice, and the massage(aside from the talking) was decent, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I hate to leave bad reviews, but this email spamming really pushed things over the line for me.

I got«the Royal Treatment» here, which is a manicure with paraffin and a spa pedicure. While the nail tech was pleasant enough, she seemed to get increasingly put out with me as we progressed through manicure and then pedicure every time I had a question or request. I wasn’t that difficult, I swear! On the manicure, they don’t soak your nails before pushing back your cuticles, which makes it an uncomfortable process with a rather ugly result. When asked why, she told me they’ve found it makes people’s nails split. Seems like the solution to that is just to file, soak, then do cuticles. She did a fairly nice job of shaping the nails, but didn’t bother to make sure all the nails were the same length(requested they all be taken the to length of the shortest nail). The pedicure was much better – both in experience and result. My only real complaint was that it was freezing inside(90 degrees outside) and as the water cooled, my shorts-clad legs were perpetually covered in goosebumps. Decent range of OPI colors and I liked the foot mud mask that was included in this treatment. I had to ask for her to keep filing my toenails until they were as short as I wanted, but the pedicure seems to be holding up well. I might go back for a spa pedicure($ 45), but probably not for a manicure.
