The bang for the buck here is fantastic. Excellent Cuban food at great value. The Cuban sandwiches are delicious, as are the plantains and empanadas. It’s not a high scale place, but as long as you aren’t expecting a typical tourist stop or fancy atmosphere you will be fine. Bottom line: Great food, cheap prices, quick service

Great casual Cuban café and market located near Key Largo offering excellent café con leche, Cuban staples, and pastries at a good price. They have a walk up window and counter service with a dining area. Daily specials are offered each day, ranging from oxtails to pig feet to picadillo to roast pork and many more, so it allows for variety if you dine here more than once in a week. Also, you can order other various Cuban staples from the menu. Lots of locals eat here. Here are some of the things I ordered: The pig’s feet — very tender and the sauce had great flavor. Cuban sandwich — nicely pressed and the meat was juicy. Café con leche — really good and smooth. It reminded me of Vietnamese coffee if it was served hot. I would definitely come back here if I’m in the Key Largo area.

Loved this place while we were on vacation. We stopped by every morning the week we were there for the Café con Leche. Delicious! Had lunch one day and it was good authentic Cuban food. Nothing fancy but good food at good prices. Seems to be where the locals eat.

We stopped on our way out of Key West, so we were worn out and starving. The food was flavorful and plentiful, but they forgot to make the juice I paid for. Had to sit through a phone call about it before getting close to what I asked for. Still tasty, but would’ve been 5 stars had it not been such a weird hassle to get outta there.

its a cuban café in the keys. expect the same food and way of doing things youd expect when sitting at a cuban cafeteria in miami. not my first choice with all the cool places in the keys but a good place to take the old cuban folks that refuse to eat«gringo» food. they usually have a few daily specials setup in a similar fashion as Palacio De Los Jugos. price is quite affordable but place is kinda divy.

Generally dicks about their parking lot, even when not open. But wow what a nice parking lot. Well paved, well painted. But beware… Try to sit there for 5m while buying a coffee next door…

Don’t let the appearance deter you from this place– if anything, it confirms the authenticity of this Cuban café & market! It’s nothing fancy & doesn’t appeal to they eye, but the coffee, sandwiches, & key lime pie here are the real deal. Sunrise is located a few miles south of Key Largo, and we found it on our way to Café Moka. I’m a huuuge fan of Cuban coffee & fresh Cuban pressed sandwiches, so I was excited to try this place out. They have a walk-up window or you can go inside to order from the counter. There are many tables inside the restaurant, but we ordered coffee & a sandwich to go. We weren’t exactly sure which coffee to order so the lady was really informative on what the differences were. The Cortadito coffee was delicious– SO strong, in true Cuban fashion :) great with a little cream & sugar… it’s the right amount of boost to get you goin in the morning. The Cuban sandwich was really good– juicy pork, fresh Cuban bread, & pressed perfectly. They key lime pie was much better here than it was at many other restaurants in Key Largo, and I was really surprised by that… not too gelatinous & not too sweet. The best part may be the price– we got 2 cortaditos, a cuban sandwich, and a piece of key lime pie for like $ 11! All in all, this is a very affordable place to swing by for a coffee, slice of pie, and a good Cuban sandwich… great for a warm meal after scuba diving in Key Largo :)

We all know the Keys can be a disappointing rip off or a lucky find. This is good hearty Cuban food at great prices. I’ve been a couple of times and it is a good spot for a fast meal when your heading in or out of the keys.

Not being from south Florida I wouldn’t know«authentic» Cuban cuisine from KFC chicken, but I know good from bad, and this ain’t no KFC! Also, I think that the fact that the entire staff and all the customers(during our lunch visit) were Cuban-American just might attest to the authenticity of this place. The food was delicious. My wife had the pulled pork-ham-cheese sandwich. It was so ample, we took half home and split that half for lunch the next day. I had the shrimp in enchilada sauce, which came with black beans & rice and plantains. So good! We were there at lunchtime. The place was full of working folks ordering at the counter. The hostess immediately picked up on our first-timers’ confusion, intervened sweetly and ushered us to a table. Our waitress was sweet and attentive as well. When the check arrived, I was staggered by the amount. .. at how little it was. Leave big tips. This place is a delicious bargain!

As advertised, if you are non spanish speaking you get crappy service. Food was crap too. I don’t know if it’s like that all the time or again, I don’t speak spanish. I was giving my order at the counter and the lady literally turned her back to me. I asked for my café con leche before my breakfast arrived and naturally it came with food about 15 minutes later, while the table next to me got theirs right away. Message recieved. You don’t want my business/money.

QUERICCOOOO!!! So delicious! It’s authentic. It’s fresh. It’s going to be our once-a-week spot! The inside is a combo of a store, cafeteria, diner, etc. I think it’s a perfect place for pick up. We ordered every sandwich on the menu and the Croquetta Sandwich was our favorite! Ham, melted Swiss, mayo and croquettas on buttered Cuban bread grilled to perfection. We will be back! Soon!

Yes. This is the place to come grab some cuban goodness. It was 8:30AM and they prepared some steak sandwiches(3) for us in about 10 minutes. Wow, the bread was perfect, the steak was limey and it was everything we wanted. This is definitely 100% cuban. Coffee was just like grama makes it too. Do not pass this place up!

I can’t believe how impressed we are, we are truely going to try to eat all the food this restaurant offers. My husband is very picky and he has been coming here daily in the last week. The cuban sandwich is killer and pretty huge, you can easily share it and get 2 coronas for about $ 12. Today I tried the black beans n rice along with their cuban chicken, so good! There fresh baked bread loaves are to die for and $ 1.50 each. I am hooked on this cuban coffee as well. Morning crack I’ll call it. My hubz who isn’t a sugar in the coffee kinda gut is now drinking it. We’re cuban food fans now, this place does it right. Nothing fancy but convenient and the staff is kind, patient and happy. Sunrise Café is authentic, delicious, and fresh. Really always a great job when we have gone there! Tomorrow were are riding or bikes over for breakfast… I’m sure they won’t disappoint.

We had half chicken with rice beans and plantain; chicken was very dry, the whole thing just below the average. I had a café con leche and tres leches cake, both good, that is where all 3 stars go to :)

Outdated, bland food, not good. One of the girls in the front treated me like she was running a 5 star resort and that I didn’t belong there. I ordered egg whites with tomato and onions, got onions with a little egg. Go next door to Café Moka instead. And it seconds as a supermarket. Weird???

Since we were still stuffed from a very late lunch on our way back to Miami, all I could manage was a Colada(large Cuban espresso with sugar) — and it was awesome! Wish I had got here around lunch time — the food looked and smelt fantastic, and with such great reviews, can’t help but think it was my loss! Don’t be fooled by the modest façade — step in for what seemed to be authentic, aromatic Cuban served up in a clean but basic seating area.

Have had two visits this far. A market but more restaurant. Serves traditional Cuban food and awesome café Cubano. The bake Pan Cubano and serve different meals each day but always a Cuban sandwhich. They even have Potajes of the day! My first visit was coffee and pan Cubano toast. Both delicious. Day 2. Lunch. Ropa vieja… yellow rice… yucca con mojo… and plantains The kicker… World Cup game of Italy vs. Uraguay

The supermarket is a small one and should just be considered as something of a small mom and pop shop. You can get drinks(including gallon bottles of water) and food for your journey around the Keys. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was typical hispanic of the area and very delicious. There are plenty of tables and although they get a crowd, the two times we went we always found a place to sit and eat.
