Ocean State Job Lot

This is an awesome Job Lot! I’m a Job Lot fan and I think this is the best one I have ever been in. It’s super clean, twice the size of many of the other Job Lot locations and they have a lot more merchandise. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be visiting here whenever I am in the area.

Five stars to an Ocean State Job Lot? Yes, I did not slip and hit the wrong star rating. The new Ocean State Job Lot in Taunton is the best one out there. Filling in the space of a vacant Circuit City building it is one of the largest Job Lots and has a vast inventory. I work nearby and have popped in frequently since it opened to get office supplies, interesting food items, and home goods. I am constantly astonished at the quality of organic health food and pantry staples this Job Lot provides. The nearby Target has a slightly superior market only because of the freezer section but this Job Lot always has better high end nonperishable ingredients.
Surprising for a local chain, Job Lot has fully embraced electronic payment in the form of Apple Pay and Google Wallet. When Discover offered 10% back to customers who used their cards through Apple Pay during the holiday season I was thrilled I could shop at Job Lot and essentially get free money while also saving a buck on my shopping list. Like any «brick-​a-​brack» store, Job Lot has an inconsistent inventory and deals run out quick so if you see something in the local flyer you want you should get there ASAP to grab it and even consider calling ahead to make sure what you want is in (I’m looking at you, electric blanket). Great location, worth a visit even if you’re not usually a bargain hunting fan.

Amazing Ocean State Job Lot JUST opened in Taunton.
Now, from information from others and confirmed from their website, their WAS one OSJL store in Taunton, on Winthrop Street. Taunton just felt it was good enough to open another Ocean State, and whalla, the Taunton Depot Drive location is now open, in the former Circuit City space.
This is not the largest, but a good size for a normal Ocean State, and provides the normal, if not better, discounts than other stores. This location was extremely clean, organized, every department having fully stocked shelves and great discounts. The employees throughout the checkout area and throughout the store were all extremely friendly, kind, and seemed to be happy with their new jobs at the store (not the normal, ‘don’t want to be here’ attitude from employees).
The parking lot is large, and always full of free stocks, as well as having direct access to the Target plaza and the 4-​way stop to Route 140. Definitely a place I suggest stopping by if you’re shopping in the Taunton area. Less than 2 minutes from the Silver City Galleria.
