This is the first time I’ve ever written a restaurant review online, but I want to spare everyone from wasting their money on a lousy meal. We decided to try this place because it’s only a few blocks from home, and we could have the food delivered by Grub Hub. We ordered the beef brisket, which I would give 2 stars, the tri-tip, which was way overcooked, and the baby back ribs, which had very little meat and seemed like they had been lying around for a while. We also had the«creamy» mashed potatoes, but there was nothing creamy about them. They actually crumbled — keep in mind that they only had to drive about 1 – 2 minutes to deliver the food, so I don’t think you can say it was because it sat in the driver’s car. We had the sweet and sour BBQ sauce and the smoked BBQ sauce, which were both actually really good. We also ordered a side of mac and cheese. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. It was dry and completely tasteless. I took one bite and threw it out. The garlic rolls were very mediocre. I would be shocked to find out that they were homemade. They seemed like store-bought rolls with some garlic smeared on the top. We were extremely disappointed and will never eat here again.

i have been going to this place for months because i work next door. they have decent salads which is what i have been ordering most of the time. today i ordered a tri-tip salad. the meat on the salad was bad/old. i called to tell them about the meat and ask a replacement. they refused saying that they just cooked it and maybe i wont like it again if they gave me another one. very rude! they gave back my money and the lady took back the salad as well. she opened it and said i ate all the meat! no wonder they are going out of business. if they are doing this to repeat customers i wonder what they do to the new ones. horrible horrible customer service!

I’m usually the guy that gives as many stars as I can but this just isn’t the case. I stopped by here because I had been to this place when it was a Mexican fusion type place. I had expected the same but was disappointed. I sat down and got the menu and it was talking about BBQ??? I went up to the waitress and asked her and she said they changed their restaurant. I didn’t get it. so I ordered the combo of trip tips and BBQ chicken. The chicken was dry and the tips were a bit chewy. They weren’t freshly cooked and you could tell the difference. My friend ordered the salmon salad which looked good but I questioned the integrity of the salmon. The place was empty when we walked in and there were chairs about with no tables to them, they had a BBQ smoker on the inside of the place. It just seemed like they were in the middle of something. The bright note was the chef. I talked to that guy for a good 15 minutes and he seems to be a worldly and knowledgeable chef. If I was going to make a restaurant, I’d have him cooking the food for sure. He was the only bright spot of the whole experience. I will definitely not come back here. not at all.

Absolutely horrible! I’m not the type of person to complain, and I usually roll my eyes at one star reviews because usually the reviewer is picky and/or expects way too much. I’m not one of those, FYI. The food was bad. The brisket was chewy, dry, flavorless, and looked weird. The beans were hard and not cooked well. The salad dressing(ranch) smelled like it had turned. The mac and cheese was decent. The rolls were dry and flavorless. I will definitely not be back.

Stopped by the new BBQ place. This used to be the El Chile Grande and they have the same owners. We ordered chiken, tri tip, ribs and brisket. The service was great. The garlic rolls awsome. While the chicken was ok, the tri tip dry but the ribs and the brisket were jucy and tender. That being said everything was way to salty. It was as if the salt shaker fell on our food and opeaned up and all the salt fell out. But yes I will go back as this could have just been how the rub was put together that day. If they can get the rub right and the tri tip and chicken a little more tender then I think we may have a winner. Will update when I try again. If they can get rid of that overly salty rub and get the tri tip and chicken a ltittle more tender then I would give it 4 or a 5.

I ordered this last minute and being tired after work tried the delivery service and was well pleased with the time and order I placed. I ordered the #5 tri tip and ½ chicken combo with the mashed and beans w/rolls. Everything was really great but the rolls sucked.
