The only Persian place to have fun, dance, drink, hooka ‚… The singer is awesome. The waiters are welcoming. Highly recommended !!

This place is really good for anybody who likes listening live music and dance. The owner«Mehrdad» is a nice person who tries to make everybody happy. The Persian food price is ok, by the way, you can smoke hooka if you like!!! The manager and the staff are helpful and nice as well!!! Recommend this place !!!

Ouch this place is horrible. Flies were present in the rice. When brought to attention of the server, replacement rice with files was returned. Drinks were very slow to come to the table. The shish kebab was dry and tasteless. Very poor experience at this place. Would never return.

As a Persian guy its a good place to chill… its more bar and hookah lounge than a restaurant. most Persians will enjoy… any way its ok to try once, you know what im talking about. ;)))

Never going there again!!! We were a group of 15 and went there for my friend’s birthday 4 days ago on friday. First of all, we were the only people there(for about an hour or so and then a party of 2 walked in thats it) and the music was so loud we couldnt hear each other so i asked the server to turn it down and he said no. Ok whatever it was my friend’s birthday and i didnt wanna make a scene. Then we ordered huka and they said we have to go outside to smoke, eventhough our table and food was inside. Whatever we went outside. We tried to take our food outside and they told us we cant have any food or drink while smoking huka and he said it is a new rule and its like that everywhere(which is bs because i go to huka lounges at least twice a week and i know whats up). By the way, the food was so bad we barely ate it. We ordered 4 combination platters(total of $ 150) and we got a little bit of cucumber mixed with yogurt, worst hummus ive ever had(dry as a sand), some kashke bademjoon which wasnt bad, some olovieh which wasnt bad and salad shirazi which didnt even taste like one. I mean common man 150 for that??? Anyways, we got 4 hukas, 4 appetizer platters, 2 adiós mofos and the bill came out to be about $ 280. 280 bucks for nothingggg!!! major rip off. Not one person was happy with their service, thats 0 out of 15, buddy.

We came here for my cousins birthday and had a lovely time! We were a large group and my family can be very needy and demanding. The service was excellent and the entertainment was great. The food isn’t the worlds best persian food but it’s pretty good and the main attraction is the great atmosphere. The owner has a lovely voice and he sang all of our requested songs. All in all we had a wonderful evening and were very well taken care of!

I have been there 3 times. The owner is very nice and cares about his shop and wants to please you, he also sings. He is the best part of the restaurant. The food is average at best. They have good Hooka if you are into it. the drinks are descent also. its good to throw b-day party since they allow you to bring your own bar for your guests. It’s a good local hangout for the woodland hills/Tarzana area. But I would not drive far to get there by any means.

I have been here for many times just to give them a chance to better serve me. But what I saw was a worse service every time I am there. Nothing is catchy about this place. Very unorganized place, inexperienced servers who really do not speak English well enough. Food is not fresh at all. All the guests are over 50. The owner plays and sings Persian music, those songs which belong to 50 years or before. Don’t bother trying this place out, cause there is nothing special about it.

Second time here, and not any more impressed this time than the last. Friday night. It’s my wife and I and 1 other couple. 1 server in sight and he keeps disappearing into the back for long periods of time. I think he may be the cook too. This place needs a serious revamping. If it wasn’t right next to sol y luna I would probably never have come back here. I wanted a hookah before dinner. Never again!!! Bad service. Mediocre food. The hookah prices start at 19.99 and are not at all worth the price.

They should serve better food. The appetizer plate was awful. Drinks are not good. The hooka sucked. The 2 star is only for the live persian music and the nice staff.

Been There Once, I Wouldn’t Say I Had Bad Experience, But There Was Nothing Special About It. Service Slow, It Took Forever To Bring Foods & Drinks. Prices Were Moderate. Not Sure But Maybe Its Just Not My Style. Music, Environment, Decoration, Patio, Nothing Was Catchy For Me. Nothing Special.

Previously I had a really bad experience here: I went here on a sat night I was there for literally 20 minutes meeting up with my ex girlfriend from long beach and her friend. We had some frays and a salad and 2 or 3 sodas they brought the bill and it was around 55 $ I was like WTH why and they said on the door it says $ 10 cover charge. I was not happy with this and told them we didn’t know and we were here for 20 minutes only, but had to pay so I paid and got out and was planning to never return to this place. But then I was invited by a couple of girlfriends here last Suday night for Karaōke night oh boy I had a blast and this time I had fun, my brother went up and sang a great song and it was just an awesome night. Mehrdad(the Owner) and Mehdi I think his partner both had great voice and sang there. The night was slow even though I could tell with the amount of people there at that night and workers and overhead they did not make any money for the night but were eager to stay open because they were enjoying the night as well. I would like to Think both Amoo Mehrdad and Amoo mehdi also special Thanks to Mohammad for making all of this happen. I will be here every Sunday from now on and GREAT Job guys. Much Love Tomik

We were looking for an alternative to the higher-priced Persian cabarets, like Cabaret Tehran or even Safir. They jacked up their cover charges on Valentine’s day weekend. So I found this online. It was very casual and homey, without the stuffiness of the other clubs. As in most Persian clubs, dress code for women runs full spectrum. Designer jeans with heels, dressy suits on the older ladies, lots of bling and sparkle. You can never be too overdressed or blinged out among Persian ladies! But you can dress down, too, as long as you are chic… No problem making the Sat. night minimum of $ 15 per person, 2 drinks will get you close to it. Not too much hookah inside to bother a non-smoker. The crowd was older, good for me at 50 years old, fit right in. Singer/owner Mehrdad did a good job entertaining us with older Persian standards as well as newer pop tunes. Great people watching as everyone was dancing like they were at their cousin’s wedding. Not everyone gets dinner, mostly drinking their minimums, but we had the kashk-e bademjan, eggplant dip, and it was good. Will definitely come back again.

If you like Persian music and you like to dance, this is the place to be. We usually come here late– music starts about 10:00. It’s best to eat before coming, because the food isn’t that great. But there’s a $ 15 per person minimum, which covers about 2 drinks each. We just order a few drinks, or tea and dessert, and maybe a hookah. That’s enough to sustain us through a few hours of dancing. Compared to the prices at other Middle Eastern live music venues, the $ 15 minimum is reasonable. The clientele is almost entirely Persian, and tends to be 30+. Service can be very slow, and no, they aren’t ignoring you just because you aren’t Persian. They’re just a bit understaffed. After midnight, when the fancy Persian cabarets close, the singers and musicians often come here for an impromptu jam session. The owner of this place, Mehrdad, is the primary singer/keyboardist, and his voice is excellent. By the way, they are cool about customers bringing in birthday cakes. But if you’re coming with a large group, be sure to make reservations.

After hours Lounge with live music Fri, Saturday. The owner Mehrdad who’s also a singer as he performed too. Food really good if your plans are to eat otherwise $ 10 cover charge… Extremely crowded and the place is hot, very hot. best to seat by the door area… just not enough air inside this place. Overall this place is a cool hangout to chill… if no other options are available.

I’m surprised there isn’t already reviews about this place considering it gets super crowded everytime I go! I LOVELOVELOVEEE this place! The hookah is ALWAYS amazing, unlike The Spot where I cough every time i take a small hit. I’ve tried sooo many hooka flavors at Mehrdad’s and all of them are wonderful. The owner, Mehrdad,(obviously lol) is sooo welcoming and he remembers you… or maybe he remembered me because I go almost every weekend… :) They have live music, DJ, and dancing. There’s no physical BAR, but they have a full alcohol /cocktail menu. The drinks are deeelish! sour apple martini is my sisters fave, I like sippin on champagne with my hooka ;) The food is yummy. They service persian /middle eastern items. mmm. jooje kabob, kashke bademjan, and they have other things like fries, salads, ice cream, etc. I know overall they’re SLIGHTLY more expensive than The Spot, but they’re 1000 times better! :) Highly recommended!
